Hi all my fellow abers!!

OK it seems as if my current and long-standing vibration that I want to change has to to with "security", as in monetary. Have taken insecurity with me everywhere(no shock there)!! It really isn't about the $$ as much as the feeling of relief/peace and freedom that I want. This has not manifested so... I must still have that vibe. I have had such great success with manifestations but I need suggestions!

You might want to read the "When the Money Isn't Coming" thread: (http://www.theabeforum.com/forum2/13773.html ) Essentially, it's what seems to be coming up a lot on the forum right now -- remembering that it's an emotional JOURNEY.  If you're feeling insecure or worried, you don't have access to a feeling of freedom and stability.  An affirmation is just going to sound like a big, fluffy, nice sounding happy face sticker.  Rather than trying to reach for a specific good feeling emotion, which you may not be able to reach, Abraham suggests that you reach for the feeling of RELIEF, which you ALWAYS have access to.  So, from the set point of worry, disappointment will feel like relief and by shifting your set point just that one spot, your point of attraction improves and your manifestations improve as well.  It's taking that emotional journey from Phoenix to San Diego, which doesn't happen all at once but rather happens mile by mile, emotionally speaking.

I was inspired by this quote when I was in a similar place myself. The good thing about being where you are is that you know what you don't want and so you can pivot that and discover what you do want. What I did was sit down a make a list of the things that had been bothering me.

Worrying about bills not getting paid... worrying about not being able to support my end of the finances... etc. Lots of things that felt bad, and then took each statement and tried to feel what the exact, best feeling opposite FEELING was.

Sometimes it was just a feeling of relief about finances, but it got more specific and I think being more specific gave it much more power. The feeling of KNOWING that my financial obligations are taken care of. The feeling of empowerment that comes with having money left over at the end of the month that I get to choose where and what to spend it on. The feeling of excitement about our financial stability and the money we can now guiltless-ly spend to do wonderful things together.

I started by putting it in the same format as the quote above - "I want to go from a feeling of disappointment that I may have reached my spending threshold to a feeling of surprise and excitement and enjoyment as I realize how much more I can spend."

I put these together and read through them and edited them until they really reflected how I DID feel and how I really WANTED to feel clearly. And then I took out just the positive second halfs and copied them all into one big paragraph and read through those and felt how good my life would feel with all of those great feelings surrounded me. And through that simple process I started to live the feelings and (hence) vibrate at the level of those feelings and then... ta da! The manifestations showed up too. Your turn. :)

The other thing I found to get the essence, the feeling of security was to get to a place of "true belief" (faith) in my abilities.  I like manifesting things like blue glass and feathers and flowers...I spend 17 seconds (or more) feeling the essence of say, blue glass and feeling how elated I'll feel when I see some that day.  Then I let it go completely, knowing it is done,  and the rest of the day I become thrilled a whole bunch of times as it presents itself over and over. One time I played this game and couldn't help but to burst out laughing when a whole storefront window display was bottles and glasses -- all blue! :)   I've done this with intentions to manifest coins too and found coins everywhere I went and I kept appreciating those until I couldn't go anywhere without being followed by armoured trucks full of money everywhere I drove that week! LOL.

I agree with Hearts of Summer about getting that feeling of security from manifesting the "little" things, or basically, things we feel easy about.

I did this by segement intending.  I did it a lot, and after about 2 weeks I felt so secure in my ability to manifest & that feeling has flowed over into my mainstream thoughts. (And manifestations have been frequenting my experience to boot!)

I know the security you're talking about is the physical form of money, but I think the feeling of security precludes your manifestation, which is definitely coming.  ::hugging

This sounds right to me. The affirmation thing... I do it and its rote, and its not working for me. I think focusing a bit more on which thought feels like relief would be better.

security and freedom can polarize your experience...

choose the latter of the two, and the first won't be an issue

how can you be present and tap your now if you are always "worried" about possible "what if's" that could go wrong?

I too, Elyse, have been working on my vibe regarding security. One thing that's been helping me has been the "Wouldn't it be nice if...?" game: "Wouldn't it be nice if I could change the thoughts I keep thinking on this topic?" "Wouldn't it be nice if I could look at X without feeling defensive?" etc.

I've also noticed that, as vszero points out, when I start feeling the wrong end of my security stick, it's usually because I'm thinking thoughts of the future. Two things have helped me in this instance:

I look for examples of my security in my Now. (For example, I'm writing this on a well-lighted streetcar. I'm warm and dry and these babies are always firmly on their tracks. <Seriously> etc.)

The other thing I do is remind myself that "wory" is simply pre-paving a unwanted outcome. Since I know I can pre-pave really vividly (the racing heart, the "awful" scenarios, the butterflies in my stomach all tell me that), why not pre-pave a future I want? And since both are in my head at this moment, it's hard for me to argue one is more valid than the other, right?

One other thing, Elyse: you have, in the short time that I've been on this board, changed your vibe on a number of topics (to the point that you are an example of upliftment to me--and others, I'm sure) that I can see you shifting on this topic as well. (It just felt good to me to share that with you.)

This is feels so good to remember... I have manifested an amazing relationship/marriage that I have wanted.  Used to be my rascal... no more.  Truly wonderful.  I want that KNOWING feeling.  I want to remember my POWER!!!
