Good Morning Abers!
I'm starting our thread for the Parenting part of The Vortex book for our study group. (Part IV, pages 149 - 172)) I know we have a few pages left on Part III. I think we can finish those on the November thread.
Great news -- Autumn is joining Leslie and I in co-facilitating the December thread on Parenting!!!
What I love about this Parenting section of the book is that you can relate to it through different filters: as a parent, uncle, aunt or as daughter/son (child).
Lovely Leslie will be posting our page guide/schedule.
This excerpt from page 149 pretty much sets the tone:
"When adults, or anyone, expect or demand that you adjust your behavior to something that is more pleasing to them, they are attempting to lure you away from the benefit of your personal Emotional Guidance System. And the breakdown of every relationship, the reason for every dissatisfaction, the cause of every illness or failure, stems directly from this incredible misunderstanding: you never intended to be guided by the approval or disapproval of others, but by the harmony or disharmony of the Energies between you and your Source."
My motto for today is:
I will only be lured by own Guidance System and I wll be aware of my FEELINGS and FOCUS!

So, today's page 141-- there is so much good stuff on this page!
"[Y]our connection to Source must not depend upon your mate's Connection to Source. You must use your own power of focus to keep yourself in alignment with who-you-really-are."
We have been discussing this over and over, and each time I hear it, it sinks in more. It is so Good! My alignment depends on me alone! It is no one else's job to make me feel good. And I CAN feel better, all by myself. This is true freedom.
Another delicious quote:
There is nothing more Spiritual than to allow the true spirit that is you to flow through you into your physical life.
YUM!!! Let me count the ways of allowing spirit to flow through:
sex
dancing
playing with the kids
And sex does eventually lead to parenting so it is appropriate that the sexuality chapter slides right into the parenting chapter!!!
We will be getting a bit creative with the pages we study--we have two days of writing our own stuff, if we feel inclined!
I am so happy to be on the journey with you all.
A story to tie this all together--at dinner tonight, at a restaurant, my daughter, she's 4, didn't like the beans I gave her to try, so she spit them out onto her plate, making a big, long, wet farting noise.  And my son, also 4, says, "hey! We don't make this sound at the table!" and he makes the farting noise, too, just to illustrate his point.
It was something that in the past, I would have used as an excuse to get out of the Vortex, but today, I just saw how completely adorable it was. It was hilarious!
And I just enjoyed it. It didn't matter to mr what anyone else thought about it! I LOVE THAT. This is freedom.

Victoria - I love the idea of the playgroup.
The Vortex Book Study Playgroup has a nice ring to it. It will be a lot of fun.

Per our schedule -- December 7th, we will be moving from Sexuality to the Sexually Transmitted Ease of Parenting...
Tomorrow Sandra will start posting to the December thread and finishing up the Sexuality part of the book.
If you are at all confused -- don't worry, Be Happy-- we will find more clarity as we build momentum!
You should read the PMs sent between the facilitators -- I am sure Abraham is having a good laugh with us! Aww co-creating at its best!

So friends, focusing on the pleasant and wanted aspects of life will bleed over into all other aspects. How good is that? It is all right there in our bloody focus. This is a very good bleed. Today, no matter where I am going, who I am with, or what I am doing, it is my dominant intent to bleed positive aspects all over the place. I am going to leave my blood everywhere. Feel forward to the bleed of positive aspects. Take the bloody bounce.

Hi Everybody,
I am a bit behind, but I FEEl that doesn't really matter, so I would like to just jump in and join the playgroup. I feel drawn to the joy-filled excited vibes that just bled from my computer when I began reading this thread today and I am very excited about jumping in !! The fact that there are three extraordinary Beings who have offered to monitor the playgroup...beings who always hit the nail on the head for me...doesn't hurt,either
This captured my attention as I read pg 141 and it really spoke volumes to me...a huge reminder for the me of ME: "Source understands the spiritual nature of you and of All That Is, and when you think you should stand in completed perfection on every subject, you are not spiritual."
This is a biggie for me. I constantly have to remind myself that part of the game is about expansion and All Is Well...I never get it wrong ' cause I never get it done. There are times when I think I have a particular contrast cleaned up only to find that...Nope...here she comes again...only bigger I particularly like the "on every subject" message here. Huge, for me...simply huge. What a gi-mongous relief this reminder brings...phew...Thank you, Abe! It's all about the fun of the game, isn't it! Sometimes I get around the board and don't get the "Go To Jail" card, and sometimes I do.

This struck me, as well. And, I can substitute the word "mate" for mother, father, sister, boss, and on and on. HUGE HUGE HUGE!!!

I am looking forward to joining this study group.
When I purchased my copy of the Vortex months back I was immediately drawn to the Parenting Chapter before all other pages! It has had the most impact on my immediate life and understanding!
I have a 4 year old daughter too and she is an amazing creator. She once created seeing a friend she loves so much at a Barnes and Noble playarea when we couldn't seem to get the friend's mom to agree on a playdate. That morning she said she must see her friend she loves, we went to B and N and soon thereafter her friend showed up! She was overjoyed!! This has happened many times in many ways since she has been born!
My intention is always to support her flow and Guidance and relinquish patterns of protection and control of her behaviour that are my patterns and unneceassary. For she is Safe and Connected and Supremely Guided and Inspired!
Reading this section also helped me relinquish more patterns of guilt and disapproval towards my parents and my not happy and good feeling childhood and start to re-write my childhood story inside myself that actually feels good!
I look forward to joining this thread also because you guys (girls mostly) have lots of fun!! And lately my newest vibration I am allowing and becoming and getting aligned with Consciously is Fun!! Taking time to Laugh with my daughter, tell Knock Knock jokes with her which she loves, wrestle with her and tickle and move our body with Joy!!
Your thread here feels like sooooo muchhh FUN to me!
I have a conscious intent for a consistently Fun Life!!

It doesn't. I just realized I am a bloody day ahead! There are no dates and time in the Vortex!!! Feeling forward. It's all good, wherever your bouncing from or to. Life just gets better and better!

Welcome scottiedog (Susan), rayyan and rm to the thread! I am so excited about the Parenting part because my son (who turns 6 this week) keeps me on my toes. And I have found that hanging with him has inspired me to re-write my story with my parents. I love being a mom too because being a mom for me opened a new chamber in my heart that BLEEDS into every other part of my life. I think it is because these beautiful children that come into our lives and act like precious Little Rascals bring out the best in us and then we really understand what Abe says about -- You can't control the unconrollable, so start with you alignment! My son helps me practice my alignment daily. And his biggest gift is he shows me how to be proudly selfish and aligned with Who-I -Really-Am.
Anyone else that wants to jump on the December bus, there are an infinite number of seats waiting for you!

Susan -- thank you for pointing out that quote. It is a big one for me too. Remembering that I am complete in the NOW and there is no completed perfection. It also reminds me to appreciate everything in my life as perfection even those things I might want to change. It reminds me that what others are vibrating or what is manifested in their lives is nothing for me to judge.
