Thanks so much for the tip about Jason Mraz. I had never heard of him but after reading all the comments about him, I looked him up on youtube.  'Im yours' made me feel so happy as soon as it started and the video clip is all action in the vortex.  I was just thinking this morning that I wanted to find some music that I could really get into to feel good.
Thank you.

I can't wait for Craig David's next album to be released as he said he's based alot of the songs he's written for it on LOA. Also Denise Welch and Jane Mcdonald ofov 'Loose Women' have both read Lynn Grabhorns 'Excuse Me Your Life Is Waiting For You'.

And I think King Curtis, the kid From the American version of wife swap, definately counts as a celeb now. I'm addicted to watching his tantrum on youtube as he's got such character! I love it when he shouts "bacon is good for me!!" I've started saying it before each meal about whatever i'm eating. lol.  And when the 'swapped wife' asks him if he's back on her team he replies no...i'm on the team for having fun!!" love him :-)  Fern Cotton and Holly Willoughby (british radio and tv presenters) both believe in it and have a blackboard by ferns front door on which they place their future manifestations (they are best friends).

oh and Will Smith believes (deliberately practices) it too. Check out youtube for interviews where he discusses the power of positive thinking and the idea that thoughts are real.

John Denver is gone now, but I think he was one of the top Abe type celbs.  I went to a concert of his once (I don't go to many because of the traffic jam trying to leave).  At the end of the concert he came out and told the audience to love each other and when you leave the parking lot just let one person in front of you go first.  And he left.  I got out of the parking lot in 10 minutes.  First time under an hour.  For a person to express that and have the audience listen is REAL power.  And IMHO John Denver had that in abundance.

I reckon a lot of people are TITI&TO on specific subjects but 'Abe-ish"?  I'm not aware of anyone, aside from Esther's Abraham and my own IB, from whom I'd expect answers to my questions on this particular subject matter. Granted, I'm not familiar with celebrities, as themselves. If fictional characters were available, I might ask Yoda a couple of questions.

Gary Numan is a creative genius and all creativity comes from connection with source. You don't have to know about Abe to be Abe-ish.

Ah! I took "Abe-ish" to mean Abe-like and I'd never come across anyone even remotely Abe-like before!!

Now that I think about it, I reckon EVERYone has a tasty Abe-ish center!! :beautiful:

Oh, absolutely John Denver!  He's one of my favorites!  Country Roads and Calypso are two of the most beautiful and engaging songs that I have ever heard.  He followed his desires throughout this career and made his transition soaring free like an eagle - what a guy!

Katie Holmes always springs to mind for me. She got the opportunity to audition for Dawson's Creek but was busy doing a high school play and enjoying it so she said no. The studio persuaded her to do a home video of her with the script and she nailed it without any effort.

She broke up with her fiance and a few weeks later met Tom Cruise who she would write in her diary about as a girl. Her daughter was born a year to the day they met...I'm sure there's loads more but she just seems to glide through life effortlessly and I love that! :)

Lady GaGa was quoted last week as saying "I used to walk around acting like I was really famous when I was nobody and then I just Was" (paraphrasing) Also Gwenyth Paltrow once said "you ask any celebrity if they all knew they were going to be famous and they will all say yes, they all always knew"

Paris Hilton's mother used to tell her everyday she would be more famous than Madonna and Marilyn Monroe...

I love this thread!

An Abish celebrity is Gaboury Sidibe, the actress of Precious.

Here are some quotes of her that I've found, some from a really good interview at Harpers Bazaar.  If you can, listen to a video clip in the Harpers Baazar web site, it's really good!

* Oprah Winfrey: "It's like she's from another planet, because she's so evolved, so confident, so secure about who she is.

* In her own way, Sidibe is becoming a pinup too. She adores photo shoots. "I feel like a model. It justifies everyone in my life who told me I wouldn't be anything until I lost weight. It justifies that little girl who cried because she didn't think she could be in front of the camera. And it's for other girls who feel like they can't do this or that and feel like they're not pretty and not worthy of having their photo taken."

* I just know that I was tired. I was tired of thinking less of myself because others did.

* She adds, "People always ask me, 'You have so much confidence. Where did that come from?' It came from me. One day I decided that I was beautiful, and so I carried out my life as if I was a beautiful girl. I wear colors that I really like, I wear makeup that makes me feel pretty, and it really helps. It doesn't have anything to do with how the world perceives you. What matters is what you see. Your body is your temple, it's your home, and," she chuckles, "you must decorate it."

* If she met herself at a party, "I'd think I was pretty. Is that weird? I might be really interested in me. I'd probably watch myself the whole night, then I'd come over and say, 'You're a really good dancer.' We'd talk for a while and then," she says, starting to giggle at the silliness of it, "we'd go home separately to avoid the paparazzi."

* "I'm just happy to show up. So, I don't have any plans of changing because I really, really like myself. It took a lot of work to get here. It's reaffirming for people to meet me and ask me not to change."

* Gabourey Sidibe has said that she thinks she is "awesome"... Speaking to The Guardian, the 26-year-old said: "The press paints the picture that I got this role and now I'm awesome. But the truth is that I've been awesome and then I got this role."

* I learned to love myself, because I sleep with myself every night and I wake up with myself every morning, and if I don't like myself, there's no reason to even live the life. I love the way I look. I'm fine with it. And if my body changes, I'll be fine with that.

She exudes such confidence!  She redefines the way I think of beauty, and I clearly see how beauty is an inside thing, a way of feeling.

I heard Marilyn Manson speak of being your own God, and not conforming to the wishes of others. It sounded very Abe-ish.

Chariot, I had a little giggle at the Marilyn Manson pics.

I was a pretty big fan of his as a teen, and went to a few concerts, but mostly I appreciated him for his humor, intelligence and showmanship. Being your own god is Abe-ish and also church-of-satan-ish (he was made an honorary reverend by founder anton la vey) ::devil

This is conjuring some bizarre images of MM and Abe's respective audiences getting mixed up somehow. ::LOL

Lady GaGa!
She's a "free B*tch, Baby"!

"Peace. it does not mean to be in a place where there is no trouble, noise, or hard work. it means to be in the midst of those things and still be calm in your heart." ~Lady GaGa

"I used to walk down the street like I was a f*cking star... I want people to walk around delusional about how great they can be and then to fight so hard for it every day that the lie becomes the truth." ~Lady GaGa

"Some women choose to follow men, and some women choose to follow their dreams. If you're wondering which way to go, remember that your career will never wake up and tell you that it doesn't love you anymore. " ~Lady GaGa

I saw this Abe-ish quote on my homepage; I came here to post it and, naturally, this perfect thread in which to place it was already started and here waiting for me!

OH YES.. she is one hot B**CH!! Love her attitude. Today on the radio they said she was talking about celibacy and nothing being wrong with it. I've always loved how free she is with her honesty about her sexuality!
