Chapter Two: Arrival, SpectroMagic, Wishes

“You can be, do, or have anything you want” – Abraham

So the excitement was off the charts at breakfast this morning.  We are on our way and this is the day we ARRIVE!!!  Yay!!

David: I can do, be or have anything I want.

Jody: (raises eyebrow) Have you been listening to those dead guys again?

David: So… I can HAVE a cinnamon roll…

Jody: So, have! I’m the Topic Police, not the Food Police..

David: I’ll take half of yours.

Jody: (lowers eyebrow, cuts roll in half)

David: I want the BIG half!

Jody: ….Are we there yet?

So... on the road again, and really excited, and with nobody under a certain age in the car, we could listen to the Grateful Dead, Joni Mitchell, Van Morrison and James Taylor with nobody to critique our music choices.

::cool

In between bouts of 70's songs, I read aloud from The Astonishing Power of Emotions.  The 7-odd hours of driving we had left passed quickly... and some of that might have had to do with the fact that since when he noticed that would be passing the exit for Daytona on our route... David must have mistaken that for being the same thing as I-95 being the Daytona 500, and yes, he did take the Mustang up to 110 mph for a few harrowing minutes, several times in South Carolina.  Drop those oars Jody.. this car ONLY goes downstream!:oars:

and before we knew it....

::grapevine

OMG… there’s the GATE!!! It’s Disney World!! There’s Mickey!!!::wow

Check-in at Disney’s Yacht Club Resort was easy and fun.  Well the part where the valet parker wanted David to surrender the keys to the Mustang was just the teeniest bit upstream, but after that we FLOWED, oar-less as can be!  After check-in there was plenty of time to relax AND get to the MAGIC KINGDOM for the parade and fireworks.

So have I mentioned how I'm CERTAIN that Walt Disney is hanging out with Abraham and is part of their energy?? More on that when we get to MGM and see the exhibit on Walt's life, but let me say here that Walt Disney's philosophy so echoes what we learn from Abraham - about believing in the magic - well, like I said... more on that later...::grapevine

We really enjoyed the parade of a million lightbulbs!  ]I waved at every prince, princess, and mouse… David took about a gazillion pictures of course….and after that… the ultimate Abraham fireworks display “WISHES”.

"A Dream is a Wish Your Heart Makes”….

The entire display, which is AMAZING, focuses on how our hearts’ desires CAN and WILL come true!  And it’s done with such beauty and pure whimsical FUN!!  Pictures to follow tomorrow.

After the fireworks that really good kind of exhaustion came over us, which was just as well since we closed the park… ]

Wow… and this is just the first day here! There is no end to the magic that awaits!! SO FUN!

Jody: The Handsome Prince blew me a kiss!

David: Ghepetto stopped in front of me to pose for a picture.

Jody: Yah.  That's the same.

:exactly:

So g’night wonderful Abe Forum!!  Tomorrow is EPCOT!
::handwaving

Life is supposed to be fun – AND IT IS!!!!]

We're still having a wonderful time in Disney - Our first day in Epcot was magical! David wants to post the next installment of the trip report, but if he takes too long of course chatty me will jump in! Count on it! ::LOL
It's actually Day 4 today, but I'm been getting a little confused - Day, Chapter... oh well!  We were so exhausted (in a really good, had a great time sort of way) and just couldn't face a long post yesterday, but David did get his gazillion pictures uploaded so you might see some of them today.

Epcot is all about Imagination and how thought and desire mixed with imagination CREATES and invents.  The magic is everywhere - not just in Epcot of course, but Walt Disney's vision is so very Abe-like and his message, for those who take the time to "take it in" is:

LIFE IS SUPPOSED TO BE FUN - AND IT IS!

Jody: My fingers are too tired to write the trip report.
David: It's my turn to write the trip report anyway.
Jody: (hours later) What about the trip report?
David: I'm on picture number gazillion and fifty million.  Almost ready.
Jody: So... tomorrow?

David: yup. tomorrow's another magical day! :exactly:
