Funny thing happened on the weekend..

I was sitting in the car waiting for my husband to grab a few things from the shop and I started thinking about the lotto. I started thinking that maybe i was focusing on money coming via lotto too much and maybe i was missing other avenues that my IB might be trying to direct me towards.

I was thinking maybe it's time to stop buying tickets.. then my husband gets back to the car, and picks up a piece of paper sitting on the ground just outside his driver door. It was a lotto ticket for the draw the next night. I just howled with laughter at the irony.. then we ended up winning $45! What a hoot..

I just wanted to say, don't in any way shape or form reply back to the email, its all a scam, whereby they get your info and then send you another email saying in order to process your claim you would need to pay a handling fee which could sometimes be several thousands of pounds. I had one of these sent to me several months ago and basically called them out and they never responded back.

The national lottery don't send solicited mails like this to anyone, the only mail they might send is if you have played online via their website, which means having had opened up a lottery account, and if you had won, they would send you an email congratulating you, but they would pay the amount won into your lottery account, plus official emails from our national lottery would have national-national.co.uk after the @, I bet the email you received had a different address after the @, plus here in the UK the national lottery has never held a annual final draw, and would never hold something like this ever.

It's a scam that if you reply would cost you dearly.

So as the saying goes, if you didn't physically enter into a draw, play a draw etc, you haven't physically won anything.
