Hi,

I would really, really love to understand WHY some foods "make" me feel crappy.

I KNOW it´s not the food- it´s MY vibe, it´s MY respond.

Having said this,
I don´t know of ANY recentment I could feel about sugar (I thought I cleaned that up very soon in my life. I LOVE SWEETS and had never reactions to it). BUT there is this 1 candy that "makes" me feel crappy as soon as I eat it. I just don´t understand that, but it always does (and I love this candy SOOO much!).

Any ideas how to find out easily and abish?

::rocket >to feel good not just eating it but afterwards, too...
                             ::hearts::hearts> to "my" candy...

                   ::wave Elke!

Maybe it's your body's way of telling you not to eat the candy. I know that I've reacted poorly to fish and I think it was due to the fact that my body knew it was contaminated.

It might be helpful to get clear on why you love this candy so much. Do a rampage if that feels right. You might find something you have been hiding from yourself.

Or you might even explore this *crappy* feeling you get immediately afterwards. What's that all about?

All your answers are within you.

I too have this problem with food, me likes me sugar......

I believe it is bad for me, so it is.

Until I can change those beliefs and have pure expectation that they are nutritious and delicious, they will continue to be bad for me and make me feel crappy.  :?

so I do my best to eat better.  (I said better, not saying I eat only good stuff now)

For I also believe, even if a food in NOT good for you perse, if it makes you happy and enjoy life, it overrides it.

I would not eat badly out of the Vortex though, not a good idea.

Does this candy HAVE to be "IT"? Your confectionery "Fred", so to speak? ::LOLMaybe you could just get okay with not tolerating this particular candy this red-hot minute? Wouldn't it be great to discover something even better once you've got your attention off this particular candy? ::LOL

Just some silly thoughts on my part that might even bear a kernel of truth.

I have the experience that I get very dizzy and nauseous if I eat sweets on an empty stomach. Meaning that, unlike a lot of other people I know, I cannot eat a candy bar to pick me up in a pinch. It's not always been that way, and it won't necessarily always remain that way, but that's the way it is right now and I don't know why. All my pre-Abe medical research turned up no explanation - go figure. But I don't need to resist it. I just don't eat chocolate or sweets on an empty stomach. Life will not end, nor will my enJOYment of it.

That resonated deeply. Yes, I think there is something from my childhood, when I was eating the candy to give love to myself... had totally forgetten that one!

Yes, I CAN clean up that one!!  ::hugging  Thank you!

And I fully understand your desire to understand - I'm like that, too. Picture me as a dachshund determined to drag that fox out of his hole. ::LOL But sometimes it really is better to just give up and drop the oars. *sigh* And then, who knows, perhaps the answer that gives us that desired understanding will present itself of its own accord. Or the "problem" might just dissolve. I, for my part, am at "hopeful" on this subject. :allgood *wags tail*

Hi Elke ::wave

Can you remember the first time you ate this particular candy?  The first time you felt bad about it?  ...Cos it might have been a coincidence the first time you ate it and didn't feel well.  It might have been something else, but you decided it was the candy and so you started telling that story about it.  ...And you continued telling that candy story!

In other words, maybe it's not the candy - maybe it's your thoughts about the candy!!  Or about other things.  And if you are feeling unsure, or even frustrated, that's your sign that you are thinking in ways that aren't serving you.

It might even seem to be the candy, because you were vibing with some resistance all that time ago - so that a bad reaction to something you like best reflected what was going on for you.

Does it feel like your freedom and pleasure are being limited?  Do you feel confused or frustrated by this? Whatever it is is a match to your mindset/focus in some way.

A small story told many times forms habit and expectation.

Your new story might be freer?  How do you want to feel?

::LOL

Thanks, ALL of you!! With your help it was so easy.
It had to do with shame from the childhood, like sparklebright suggested...

SO nice to clean this little things up. Gives so much power, so nice to be "in charge".

I just thought I'd drop in this tidbit too. When I want to eat something in particular but I don't really want to go and get it, I'll remind myself in my head of the flavor, of unwrapping the package, whatever it is that I like about that candy or food, I'll just think about eating it. Right now I'm imagining the flavor of the most sweet, delicious blueberries I've even eaten - juicy, plump and full of sweetness. Yummy.

You don't have to eat it to experience all the best that it has to offer.

Seems to me it happens because you have a firm belief it will happen.  How and why you created that belief may or may not be helpful to know, but as long as you continue to hold that belief...

That was definitly the case, too. Felt like the uni really wanted to TELL me: "clean this up. It´s the next step, we will make sure you won´t forget". This sounds dramatic, but I AM very grateful now, where it´s done!!!::devil It´s the small steps that make a smoothe ride...

Rebecca, your tidbit is delicious!!
Never thought bout VR in THIS way... GREAT inspiration!

my son was stationed in Guam and was dating a Japanese girl who fed him well and was giving him numerous cups of green tea everyday.  She owned a tea house.

I, here, was doing the same thing, we LOVE green tea.

I was getting sicker and sicker, not knowing that he also was getting sicker and sicker.

turns out, it is reactions to green tea, something that is supposed to be very good for you.

I will stick to candy, it feels better.  Pass the licorice please.

I find that focusing on what you want will tell you what your resistance is if you have any. How does the resistance feel? Why do you feel that way? When you discover where your thought is about the subject, just find relief about that.
