This forum is for the discussion of the TEACHINGS OF ABRAHAM.

It keeps quite narrowly to the focus and intent with which it was launched.

--While the forum is an excellent place to learn about the Teachings of Abraham, we do assume that members who wish to post here have provided themselves at least a rudimentary understanding of the teachings by acquiring some of the materials offered by Abraham-Hicks.
Find them at:
http://www.Abraham-Hicks.com

And we expect that your new thread will discuss how you are ALREADY USING the teachings in your life.  The Forum is not a hotline, nor is it an advice column.

It is worth giving your thread title a bit of thought, and also giving a little thought to how your post FEELS before you hit "send" or "reply". With that understanding,  you can post here no matter where you are right now on the emotional guidance scale.  After all, Abraham says: "Where you are is where you are"!. When in doubt as to whether a thread starter is appropriate, you can always PM me or David, Marc
(Azeche) or Leslie, as many members already do.  It is not necessary, but it is fine to do if you are wondering about that, or anything!

I think you will agree that adhering to these guidelines will help this forum maintain its difference and its special feeling.

David likes to say that the forum should feel just like an Abraham - Hicks Law of Attraction workshop.  I know most of you have not yet attended a workshop in person, and it's our honor and pleasure to provide this space in which to feel, hopefully, some of the love and truth that abounds there.  And it is our intention to keep the vibration of that alive in this little corner of cyberspace.

David and I and my co-moderators could not possibly personally acknowledge all of the appreciation you send us daily - here on the forum and by PM and email, but please know that it is more than mutual.  The forum is what it is because, yes, of David's vision, but much more so because of the membership's daily and hourly bringing of joy and love to this space.

If you are new to the forum and have not yet posted, please read a bit first to get a feeling for the tenor of the conversation here.  Then feel free to join in.  We are blessed by your presence and your intentions.

You should put one of those little "i"s on this so everyone gets to read it - you did such a lovely job of explaining the nature of the forum!

Thank you, Jody. :exactly: Well said.

What does it feel like when you hit the send button?  Does it have more energy of what I do want or what I don't want?  The Abe Forum is a collective of amazing people ::hugging

It FEELS GOOD.  This is the best place on the internet to discuss Abraham in a forum.  And Abraham is everywhere we are, just like Love and wisdom.  When threads are started, keep that in mind, and be downstream in your intention for what you say and feel, and especially for your questions.  I am sure if you do that only wonderful results and Love will return way beyond your expectations!!

I just read this thread again this week, and it has helped me so much! It made me so much more aware of my EGS while posting. How do I feel when I press "send"? that's so good!!!!!! I edited a post because of this idea, and I felt so much better afterwards!
Thanks.
Love

Hi Everyone,
It's been a very long time since I've posted an "announcement" regarding what the forum IS and what our (mine, David's, Scott's) expectations and vision are for the forum.  Today I noticed some of what we don't want (that great blessed contrast!) going on in a particular thread and I felt guided to post a reminder.  Subsequently, one of our members asked me for more clarity in a PM, and she has graciously allowed me to post our interaction here as well.  I hope this will add clarity for all of our members.

Jody

(posted in a thread earlier today):

I have my moderator hat on just now, so this post is a bit off topic for the thread, but I want some things to be clear and this seems a good place to interject.  I just deleted some posts in this thread, so I want those members, and everyone, to be clear on what the forum is, and is not.

The Abe Forum is for the purpose of discussing the Teachings of Abraham, and how we are using those teachings in our lives.

The Abe Forum
is not an advice column, hotline, support group, or crisis center.

The Abe Forum is not a place for us to advise one another on how to live our lives.  It has a NARROW INTENT AND PURPOSE - to discuss how we are using the TEACHINGS OF ABRAHAM in our lives.

Now all that said, of course there is often a fine line between advice and discussion, and of course Scott and I and David all have to use our judgment when it comes to moderating and monitoring the forum.  But if we would all please keep in mind the above points, we'll stay on topic and continue to have fun.

Now, if there is any discussion about THIS POST, it is off topic for the open forum, but you are invited to PM me or email me and I'll be happy to take as much time as I can to clarify anything that any member wishes to discuss about the forum and its guidelines.

Hi Jody

I am seeking clarification on what you posted on the thread regarding a member's son being kicked.

Admittedly I only read the thread after you had posted your last reply, so I am not sure what was removed.

As we are from source, as we are lovers to our very core, what is the balance that you are looking for when uplifting others with Abraham's teaching...when is support of others on this forum not appropriate here?

With much respect, Sheilah

Hi Sheilah,
I appreciate your question.  I guess with regard to "support", I just want members to be clear that we are not a "support group", but rather our very specific purpose is to discuss our use of the Abraham teachings.  Often a traditional "support forum" will simply hold members in the same vibration that caused their "problems" rather than uplift by power of example and expectation that a better vibration will be the result of happier thoughts.
So, of course support is appropriate, but only within the specific guidelines of the Abraham Teachings.  I truly believe that the best way we support one another is to expect the best, and with the power of influence and by discussing Abraham, uplift one another.  In other words, a lot of "yes, I've been there and here's MY sad story..." posts are not the purpose of this forum.  We don't want someone who is experiencing something unwanted to come here looking for "kindred spirits" that have gone through the same thing, or people who will offer sympathy ... this is not the "support" we want to see here.  Of course, having gone through something similar and USED THE TEACHINGS is a PERFECT example to post!

Does this provide you any clarity as to where we're coming from?
Thank you for asking and don't hesitate to request more clarity.

Love,
Jody

Thank you Jody and yes that clarified for me what this forum is about and frankly it is the reason that I love this forum...we assist and support with the intention of reaching for a higher vibration...I have seen you do this many times on the forum.:)

With regards to the thread in question, I found your last post confusing and am wondering if further clarification, as you just have done here with me, can benefit others that will read it.

As always, you lead with a generous and loving heart

Thank you again, Sheilah::hearts
