"The birds of your planet are often messengers or translators of Non-Physical Energy; all beasts are, to a certain extent. But the birds of your planet are used often in that way. Non-Physical Energy, wanting to express something to physical, often finds a bird as a very easy messenger, because the birds are mobile, they are everywhere, and they are willing."
-Abraham Hicks 12/9/00

I'm wondering if anyone has had experiences where birds delivered some sort of message or acted as a messenger.  I don't recall such an experience (though I'll probably have one soon enough now that I'm asking!).

Hello youtooaregod,

I distinctly remember two occasions during the last years, where birds have given me a message.

On our spiritual wedding, my husband and I were standing outside in the courtyard, surrounded by our guests and family. All of a sudden everybody looked up, where a large number of birds circled quitely for several minutes over our heads. To us, it seemed like a solemn greeting and congratulation for our union.

On  another occasion I had been suffering from depression for quite some time. I was sitting in the garden and looked up in the sky and saw this huge flock of seagulls. Upon closer inspection I noticed it was a kind of "flying school" - adult seagulls teaching their young ones. The latter were flying much higher than their parents and had obviously a lot of fun diving from high above to where the grown birds were flying. Watching them I could feel their sheer joy of being in the moment and practising and experiencing their freedom. And I felt like they were bringing exactly that as a message to me - life is fun, just live it and be happy. Needless to say - my mood changed almost immediately through this loving message.

Wishing you all a week filled with joy and love

I have always loved birds. I often say, "hello" to them as I walk past. I have noticed a few occasions when I've been pondering Abraham's teachings and then arrived at a certain point of clarity and within a few minutes been very close to a hawk (sitting in a tree just outside the window, or sitting on a rail a few yards away - and looking at me). Crows will do this. Sometimes they'll give a quite, soft call.

Not long ago, when I was thinking about this phenomenon, I asked for a sign from a bird if my conclusions about what I'd been thinking were correct. Moments later, as I walked along, I began looking for a bird and I turned my head and my eyes fell upon a feather sticking straight up in the ground (fallen and landed on its quill-tip). There was no reason for my eyes to go right to it like that!

There seem to be other small signs - not things that I would ordinarily think of in those terms, but slightly unusual encounters or feelings, and I think that is part of it - the thing that is a bit unusual and the feeling you have about it at the time. That is most likely the "message". Not a big thing to figure out and struggle with.

I hope others have some stories too.

Love and Light,

Richard

Richard - I love Hawks!, and have always found them to be the most brilliant forebearers of messages / guidance.

I had posted on an earlier thread about manifesting this wonderful estate, where I lived free, for quite a long time. I had been looking for a place to live, and feeling very anxious about the whole house hunting / very little money / experience. When I finally came to the point of releasing my resistance about finding a home, I chose to place my focus on my intuition and use my totem - the Hawk - as my guide. The morning my friend and I entered the driveway of this estate - a huge redtailed Hawk swooped down in front of our car, and caught a fat little bunny for it's breakfast. In that instant, I knew that I not only wanted to live there, but that this is where I would be living. ::nod

The animal and bird kingdom is glorious and reveal so much of what we're wanting to know. If, we choose to pay attention.

Blessings - Tracy

Youtooaregood-

Yes, yes, I love those birds and have lots of experiences with them communicating with me!!! Especially hawks, hence my screen name!

I was going through what I like to refer to the Grand Resistance of 2006, huuuuuuuge contrast!!!!  I was fearful, business was awful, everything was wrong and I was out of money.  I was so down in the mire and I would sit on the deck and pray to feel better.  My home at the time backed an open space area and sometimes I would see 2 hawks out there. Well, all of a sudden I started seeing them more and more often!!! To the point where I knew this had to mean something! And I always felt they were from God or Source and there to calm me!

I looked up hawks in a book called Animal Speak, that talks about Indian beliefs of animals as totems.  Wow-it was amazing! It says that birds are between physical and non-physical, that is why they fly, going between earth and heaven. Hawks are a sign of increasing psychic senses and intuition among other things.

The book said if you wonder if an animal is your totem, ask it. One day, they were not around and I decided to close my eyes and ask. When I open my eyes one was circling above!!! It also said to ask your totem, what lesson are you trying to teach me? So I did - well, hawks soar on the currents. They don't flap and work hard, they just soar and let the current carry them. Like Abe's going downstream!!!  Such huge relief for me! Over and again if I was feeling down, sometimes crying, my hawks would appear.  I have so many stories of them bringing me calm and helping me reconnect, I can't even remember them all.

The biggest connection was that I was working day and night for 2 weeks. I had decided that one day I was absolutely taking the morning off!!! No matter what!!! That morning I saw something unusual flapping on the ground in the open space behind the house. Turned out it was one of my hawks, appearing to be stuck in the marsh. I freaked, called wildlife control and after no one willing to come help, was going to have to save this hawk myself!! I was scared!  Right as I was walking out there w/ 2 sets or garden gloves, a box and a towel, a bird rescue called and said they were sending someone out!!

I was very upset, this was my hawk!!!  My love!!!  They came and I watched as they put a towel over her head to calm her and snipped the fishing line she was tangled in. I was crying and adrenalin pumping fast and hard!! They took her to one reserve and then she needed to be transported about 50 minute drive to a birds of prey rescue! They had no one to drive her. I volunteered. They put her in a box with duct tape and off we went in my car. She flapped and flapped and I played some classical music and talked to her to calm her.

When I was nearly there she had been quiet so long I wondered if she was okay. Then she started flapping again, letting me know she was alive!  When I took her inside and she was on her back having her talon examined, I had the chance to put my hand on her chest.  It was amazing and I was crying!!!  She was okay and after a few weeks they came to re-release her and it was beautiful! Later that day she circled the house a few times saying "Thank you!" She and I are totally connected!!!

It was such perfect synchronicity that I happened to be home that one morning when she needed me and I noticed her out there!  They had always been there for me, literally saved my life (not kidding, I had been very down) and now I saved hers! I have such an immense love for hawks and really every bird, I totally love them!!!

On the hotseat in Boulder I mentioned that I had an incredible relationship with a hawk - and then Abe told a story of Esther driving in the monster bus and seeing a hawk which had just picked up a little critter for lunch. The critter was a bit too large, and the hawk was having trouble flying and crashed right into the monster bus!!! Esther was upset and Abe talked to her about what was going on in vibe at the time. She had been driving and thinking of all the things she had to do and how could she possibly do them.  She and the hawk had both "bit off more than they could chew."

Wow, that was long!  Anyway, I agree the birds and other beasts are incredible messengers for us.  Thank you for letting me share, I feel really good!

Lots of love-

Caroline

Yesterday, while leaving home in my car, I saw the shadow of a hawk flying near my car ... I tried, but could only see the shadow! What a fabulous message: soar, girl! Oooh, goosebumps.

this is so amazing...i was just thinking this morning that i was going to ask this very question!  a few weeks ago i woke up in the morning and i was thinking about a cd i had listened to the day before...abraham was telling a story about how esther was watching jerry from the monster bus and he was basking in the moment one morning just appreciating the day...and she saw him say hello to a little bird...and i remembered how i used to do that as child...and it was such a beautiful reminder for me!

so i got out of bed...and opened my blinds...and there was the most beautiful deepest red cardinal sitting on my window sill...looking right at me...saying hello...and i said hello outloud...and we just stared at each other for several minutes....i was covered all over in thrill bumps...it was so amazing!

since that day...ive seen cardinals every day!  seriously...every day!  they just seem to be everywhere now...last week i discovered a nest outside my office door of baby cardinals and i watch the mother and father go back and forth from the nest all day long...

on saturday i put 2 bird feeders in a tree in my front yard and one outside my daughters window...it is as if that one little cardinal from my window sill told all of his friends that the party was at my house!

at first i thought...well i am just paying more attention now to the lovely birds and i am just seeing now what has always been there....but it seems to be so much grander than that....i feel like i am in that scence on snow white when all the birds flock to her while she sings to them...

my daughter and i were sitting on our porch on mothers day and she said i just do not remember seeing this many birds at our house...we need to get a bird bath for them and many more bird feeders because they are everywhere!

it all began the morning i remembered to say hello to the birds...i just love love love it!!

thank you for posting this!

Joyhawk!  What an amazing story!  :beautiful:

I have a humming bird that visits in the summer & will fly right up in my face - litterally inches away.  I've never thought to ask it anything before.  This summer I'll be sure to look at it in a very different way.

cigi

P.S.  We have 2 hawks that live in the woods behind us.  A couple of years ago, one tried to eat my puppy & then it saw me and backed off.  A few days later it flew really close over my head & screeched a little.  I couldn't tell exactly what it said - but I'm sure it wasn't very nice!!::LOL

Flowertea-My brother talks about the "red bird" and I don't know if he heard it somewhere that when you hear or see the red bird, it is a sign that prosperity is coming to you!! Sounds like you have lots and lots of prosperity coming your way!!! We already knew that!!!

Cigi-I love hummingbirds!!  I had one get in my house one year, a lot of work and about 15 hours until he/she finally flew out!!  I heard of someone who had a hummingbird land on their finger!!!  Amazing!!! Can't wait to hear what your hummingbird tells you!

Of course for all of us - Birds of a feather flock together!!!!

I'm plumping my own feathers for a glorious day!!!

Hello,

I love this thread and just thought i would add an experience of birds.

Once in a meditation i was given a clear message about details of a situation and it was showing me how i was tied up and i felt the ties all around my body.  I was receiving clear guidance.  But the next morning i was doubtful.

Then the next evening there was a seagull resting in the courtyard up against the door.  Which was very unsual.  He was still there first thing in the morning so i went out to see him before going to work.

Then i noticed that he was all tied up in wire.  He could not fly away and he could not open his beak because it was tied up in wire.  I dont know how he got into the courtyard as it was surrounded by a high wall.  I tried to help get the wire off but he was distressed so i called the rspb to come and help rescue him.

He was a clear messenger.  (But sad to see also).

Love to you all

songbird

(Oh...just realised...no wonder i was drawn to this thread...songbird is a vibrational matchxxxx)

I love this quote because it reminds me of a wonderful experience I had with a dove a few years ago.  I was driving on the highway, took an exit ramp that was curvy and as I was driving a white dove all of a sudden flew about 4 feet directly above my car and it kept encircling my car as I was driving for a few seconds.  It was an amazing experience to show me that all is well.::nod

I have to post this because I think it was so cool.  A few hours after I made that last post yesterday, I had dinner and was feeling rather down.  After dinner, I got into my car and then I heard this thud.  I turned to look thinking it was something with another car and bam, right in front of me perched right on the side view mirror was a robin staring directly at me.  I literally gasped and could not believe it.  Then it proceeded jump down and jump on the car parked right beside me...it kept hopping from the ground to the side view mirror and right by the window and it would just stare at itself in the mirror.  It kept doing this for about 10 mins.  I have never ever seen a bird act that way before!  I know that had to be a message from nonphysical telling me all is well.

Every blessed day! I love my feathered friends, and for some reason, they love my garden.  I literally spend hours watching them visit, nest and frolic among the trees/bushes.  And as the weeks and seasons pass by, different birds visit the garden, and I am lifted to great heights of joy - thus aligning myself with my Inner Being.

Every morning for the last two weeks I've woken up to see a beautiful parakeet in my garden.  Her breathtaking beauty is a sign to me from Source that I am loved, and that there are great things in store for me!
