Jonquil,
That was fantastic! I had an eerily similar discussion with my IB. I was sitting on a boulder in the middle of the stream, refusing to jump in. I was trying to talk myself into a courageous leap into the stream but, as it turned out, I finally started feeling so good that, without noticing it, I was drawn little by little into the stream until, surprise! it was the Next Logical Step to just go with it. Wonderful! Your dialog has given me some great insights! I'm so glad you posted it!

Jonquil,
Did I say that you've given me some great insights? It just hit me what an understatement that was. I've been planning to ask a certain question of a local psychic/life coach and I've been mulling the question over in my mind over the past few weeks, trying to get at the essence of it (all the while knowing that the answer really can only come from my IB.) My IB has just shouted: your answer is in that post!

Wow, a life coach seems like such a good idea! Somebody who would take us under their wings and remind us to think appropriately 24/7 for a week or two, and then leave us when we were manifesting on our own?
The only "hard" part of manifesting good things is getting over our old programming and self doubt and worthiness issues.
But the more we do it, the easier it gets, and the better life gets!

I'm starting to see that my IB is my life coach!
But I'm sure my IB would lead me to a free-standing life coach with fingers and toes and a tummy button if I want one.

How great is that!
Or a life coach with threads and a David and a Jody (with or without cape)!

Ocean, I love that idea of IB as a life coach! I also love what you said on a previous post about learning to use less words.
I would love to post short sweet posts, but I use this forum to do my chewing sometimes, and they get long. Do you do your chewing first and then just post the results? But I like reading the longer posts. They help me be clearer too.
So is there a bias here for short posts? If so, why?

Hi Norma
I don't think there is any kind of bias here other than those we think into being! Or, at least, that's what I'm telling myself.
I'm not sure which post of mine you're referring to, but I always post what feels right to me in that moment. Some of my posts are long.
I do worry about it sometimes and you've picked up on that, or are matching that. The concession I make is to try and space it out well, but the truth is, that makes it easier on my eye and may not have any affect on anyone else!
Like you I also find this forum is a great place to do my chewing. I tend to post it all both for me to reread and in case my train of thought (which tends to be my movement up the EGS) helps anyone else.
Sometimes the short snappy posts can really hit the mark. Other times I feel they don't tell me enough and I need more to bridge the gap from where I am to where I want to be.
The short answer to your post would be: Both short and long posts are equally as valid and valuable!
...But if I'd only written that then I might not have told you what you were looking to find out!!
HUGS

Jonquil,
very cool post! I laughed out loud and saw 'me' saying these things also. My IB is sooo patient, sometimes! Others, she says 'okay, what part did YOU miss?!" I think her humor is (at times) sardonic!
I loved the thesaurus remark! Thanks for the great laugh!
As for the psychic/life coach, I had been thinking I would like to go see this palm reader who is sooo very head on. I kept hearing that all I needed to do was have a talk with ME!...but am I sure I know the answers?! OH my, She did not like that, I have been ALL OVER the EGS and mostly lower vibrations, the past 2 weeks, because I would not listen to my IB. LOL Duh, I GET IT NOW!
I guess I am going to listen to my IB today (have done plenty of talking TO her!).
Have an Awe Inspired day, everyone!
Love, Light and Peace,
Beth

I think that most of us have spent most of our lives on a path where we have received advice, solicited and otherwise, from other people.
We're kinda trained to look outside ourselves for the answers.
When we find a teaching that resonates with us, and we adopt it, this becomes a philosophy for our lives, but we're still so used to looking outside for additional revelations. At least we have that added tool of the "Ring of Truth" test for the new information.
It is no suprise that many of us find solace, hopefully temporary, in the advice of other teachers and advisors as we learn to trust ourselves and our own inner voice that we have ignored for so long!
Indeed, IB IS the best life coach!
