A person on the hotseat related that just before the cruise he'd been very happy and peaceful, sitting near his suitcase, he dozed off, and when he woke up, his suitcase was gone. He noted that he'd seen some "unsavory" people hovering nearby and had the fleeting thought that they might steal his suitcase if he fell asleep, but then willed himself to think "better thoughts" and pushed that guidance out of his mind. His question for Abraham was: WAS that guidance? Should he have heeded it rather than purposefully think thoughts that feel better? Or did he attract the theft because of having put attention, however brief, on the fact that his suitcaes MIGHT be taken?
Abraham answered that nothing happens to us that we are not a vibrational match to. Even though he was joyful in the moment, there was somewhere within him a lingering vibration that "people take things from me" (this is my paraphrase). As for the guidance, my take on Abraham's answer was that of course it was guidance, and if he'd moved away from that spot or stayed awake he would have avoided that particular theft, but that unless he cleaned up that lingering vibration, it would find a way to manifest some other time and place.
Abraham told us that Jerry is "paranoid" [they said this playfully] and often reminds Esther to "zip her purse"! It was a humorous and enlightening interchange involving Abraham and Jerry, and brought out some excellent points about "safety" and being taken advantage of. Esther and Jerry toured a church in Rome where some beggar children were versed in hitting on the tourists. A little girl who planned to either beg something or take something from Esther, approached her and looked up into Esther's eyes, and when she saw the love and acceptance shining there, the child became frightened and ran away! At first thought, this doesn't seem to make sense, but think again. The child intended to steal or beg, which was NOT A VIBRATIONAL MATCH to the love that she saw and felt in Esther. She had no other choice, by LAW (of Attraction) than to flee, even though Esther had intended to give her something! I found this absolutely fascinating. The story points out that it's not whether or not Esther had her purse zipped that would determine whether she'd have something taken from her - it was her vibration. It's vibration EVERY TIME. Vibration is everything.
So... does this mean we should all leave our doors unlocked and our purses unzipped? Not necessarily!! Again - it's VIBRATION. If your vibration rises in response to the feeling of safety you get from zipping your purse or locking your door... well... see where I'm going with this? This "zip your purse" theme was revisited several times over the course of the workshop. Abraham pointed out that because of some unpleasant past experiences, Jerry had "learned" that purses must be zipped (after all, Jerry pointed out "she has some of my stuff in that purse!"), but Esther has no such suspicion or worry, so she is "protected" regardless!
Isn't this fascinating?
At the end of the cruise David's wallet went missing. Pickpocketed? Dropped somewhere? I guess we'll never know. Several people we knew on the cruise lost their luggage (some was recovered, some was not) in the process of flying to Rome for the cruise. It seemed to be a recurring theme ... and I determined to learn from it ... Abraham was right in there explaining it all to us in their usual "right on" and synchronistic way.

Really great stuff, I can only repeat what Melina said.
The story about the child that intended to beg or steal, and then there was no vibrational match between her and Esther, that explained a lot to me, and also makes clear we can not draw something in others life, and no one can do it in our...
If we don't want to explore something, *good or bad*, there is nothing and no one that can force it to happen..

Hey Jody
Thanks for the notes! I have one question for you. How on earth do you manage to remember all the details? I experienced the two workshops that I went on, on such an energetic level that I cannot remember a word of what they said. I tried to write some of it down, but it I can't make sense of it now. My body remembers how it felt tho. Can't wait to get the cds so that I can remember the words!
so much love
