Hi guys,

I am getting back into meditation after many years.  Back then, I used to use a CD that simulated theta (?) frequencies.  However, I wonder if there is a meditation CD that is Abe inspired so that I can get to a better feeling place easier.  Or, if anyone has used a particular CD to help them, I am open to suggestions!  In my current state, with traffic and house noise, etc., I won't be able to clear my mind without some kind of distraction.

Thanks and have a super day!

I went to some meditation classes last month and will be doing an intestensive yoga and meditation seminar starting in September--I absolutely love it!

The point of meditation is to clear your mind so that you can hear the voice of Spirit/Inner Being/Source and be more in tuned with your IB and gain more clarity and intuition as well is be more in tuned with your Guidance System.

I know CDs work for some, but I wanted to offer another suggestion that really works for me.  I have found after practicing meditation for a while that the CDs are actually more distracting for me and make it harder to clear my thoughts and turn inward.  What I use (and is suggested by the place that I go to), is noise eliminating (or decreasing) headphones.  Think the huge ones that cover your ears and shut out all noise like air traffic controller's use.  I guess it looks silly, but who is going to see you, right? :) I'm not sure where to order it, but the metaphysical shop and the meditation place that I go to here in Seattle sell them.  If you're interested, you can PM me and I can tell you the name of the place and give you their website.

Other than that, before I started using those, I used light noise nature sound cd's such as the beach or a running creek, etc.  If you have a metaphysical store near where you live, you should be able to find them in the meditation cd section.  If not, the same store that sells the headphones sells the CDs, so I could give you that info and then you could maybe contact them.

Hope this helps!:)::hearts

Hi, Joy!

There was a thread started not too long ago by someone else who asked about starting with meditation.  There are some good suggestions on here:

I use Dr. Thompson's Gamma Meditation System.  It has music only, no words (which I find very distracting).  And, they are widely available and not very expensive.  I got mine at a local bookstore.

Hope this helps!

Hi, SeattleSekhmet74, wouldnt you know some excellent quality comfortable noise cancelling headphones are making their way to me!

I am very sensitive to noise so I havent been able to get into meditation except late night & very early morning, I recently put out a strong rocket of desire for some so I know they are on the way.

joyfulveggie VERY GOOD meditation CD's that I have sampled & would definetly buy & use are the Thaddeus music CD's which is angelic music by this lady Sanaya Roman who is a channel, she is inspired & guided by an angel 'Thaddeus'. This music is excellent for meditation. Very HEAVENLY I will private message you the link,

love, SHARI

According to my understanding of this, meditation is a way to allow our mind to quieten so that we can connect with our inner being(the older,wiser,greater part of ourselves). So, whatever method or practice allows you to do that is just fine. In the book AAIIG Abraham spells it out pretty clearly as one of the processes.

Thank you all for the thoughtful responses!

SeattleSekhmet74 -- please, please email me the website to purchase those noise-canceling headphones (haven't quite figured out how to email privately yet!).  And thank you so much for the idea of the nature CDs!

Mochamajesty -- thank you for pointing me in the direction to the information that was previously posted on this subject.  I did a search but somehow got distracted by all the glorious posts -- like being in a candy store!  I have tried Dr. Thompson's Theta but perhaps I need to switch to Gamma.  Thanks!

ShariBlake - you are an angel.  The Thaddeus music is inspiring and you're right very heavenly, or at least what I imagine heaven to sound like!

Yeslist (Simon) -- thanks for your suggestions.  Will review AAIIG process of meditation.  Sometimes Abe gives us so much information, I get distracted.

Thank you all!::TU
