I am wondering if Abraham has given suggestions on how to view others? Are we to look for positive aspects in them or would that be a personal and biased judgement and not my pie or business?

Are we to look at them through the eyes of Source and if so how does one do that?

Or are we just supposed to focus on our own alignment with inner being and react from that?

Hi Dreamrose

It seems to me that you answered your own question.

My 2 cents.

Yes, I understand Abraham as saying that ultimately since we are Source Energy, those are the eyes though which we are to view others, since they are Source too. Is this easy?  No.....we see their personalities though the filter of our own personality.

Just takes time and patience on our part- and certainly in the beginning, our focus is only on our own vibration. There are many spiritual teachers and regular folk alike who have been able to achieve the high vibrational state where they can to this.

And yes, focusing on their positive aspects is the start. The more we give our attention to that, the more we will attract and experience that which is positive.

I think Abe said to look at the people from the broader perpective. Everything is always good and everything can get better too. Every person is on her or his journey, and no matter where they are, it is really good.

If you judge, you disconnect right there from your source.

To me it is the hardest part - to allow others to be who they are and know that it is good. Even when they judge me or others, it is also good. It is just where they are now.

It is all just a game anyway. We all are of value, and we all are a pure positive energy in our core.

This is also a difficult spot for me.  I have friends that complain, and I want to be supportive, but at the same time, I can feel myself joining them emotionally and getting upset with them.  So, this is what I've been working on:

When the person is in the middle of a complaint session, I try to basically ignore what she's saying, while still allowing her to say it.  I will look at her and do my best to picture her happy and allowing all the things that she wants.  I think about a time when that person was enjoying herself, etc.  I found that this allows my friend to let out her feelings, while I stay in my own place emotionally.  I don't respond in any way that would encourage her to continue, but I don't try to get her to stop either.  (As long as it doesn't get out of control.)  When she seems to be done, I gently change the subject to something she would want to discuss.  Such as her cute earrings or shoes, or anything in her life that I know is going well or at least better than what she was going on about.

But, seeing people I don't even know that are doing things I don't necessary agree with isn't quite as easy for me.  I do my best to see them from the best possible angle.  I caught myself saying to a friend at lunch that Hitler even has good qualities.  Trying to see everyone from a place of pure love.

I'm looking forward to reading what others do!

I think a very powerful tool is first understanding that we all come from the same eternalness love and that the only difference is the thoughts we choose to think and the emotions we feel on a day to day basis and the subsequent actions. People are in fact not their actions or words, they are Source energy. Everyone is on a different path and everyone is vibrating differently. It doesn't make one person better or less then the next.

Once you genuinely understand that, it's easy to feel love for the people around you. When people complain around me, it's usually no big deal. If they're complaining I usually just listen, but I am detached emotionally. When they're finished or sometimes in between, I usually try to give them some thoughts of relief. These words are usualy coming from my core. At some point I might just change the subject all together, but only if it feels appropriate. If we're in a group, I might just walk away.

As I live this more and more I think that transcending above the judgments is the only way to live. When you allow others to be and you can feel good within yourself, in other words, when you follow your Inner Being and listen to your emotions, only good things will come forth from interactions with people. Just have fun with it. Nothing very serious is going on, but it sure is to fun to feel that vibrational shift from judging someone to finding things you truly enjoy in them. I love that!

Thank you everyone for your thoughtful replies. It sounds like the best stance is a blend of all three perspectives. To see the best in them without judging, knowing that they are eternal Source beings and to want the best for them by holding the thought of them being happy and at peace.::hearts

Hi Dreamrose

I just realized having read Inner Guidance instead of Inner Being and they are two different things.  Inner Being sees everything through the eyes of Source where Inner Guidance speaks to us through our emotions letting us know how we "feel" about a situation.

I just came across this Abe quote on another post and it really emphasized for me that everyone on this planet is my co creator. So this is how I will view them!

"From your non physical perspective, you launched a thought, you imagined a physical Universe of exaggerated contrast, an arena of fine tuning, an arena of delicious experience and as you and others like you from your Nonphysical experience imagined it - physical earth began, as a physical manifestation of the thought that was once only conceived.

Now here you exist, as physical counterparts of that Nonphysical Energy.

Now you exist as a creation having been created by a creator which is also you.The creator and the creation being one in the same.

Now, from your perception of creation, you vibrationally intend, with all your heart, to allow the energy that created you to now flow through you.

So now the creation vibrationally achieves hamony with the creator and vibrationally reaches back and summons the very Energy that created it, to begin with, through it - for the purpose of expanding it forward into the Universe.

Can you feel the perpetual evolution of that which you are?

In other words, you envisioned you.

Now you are you, now you summon you back through you and extend it further.

That is the reason for physical experience.

You are not here to prove worthiness.

You are here to extend the creation, creator, creating that you are."

One of my favorite quotes from Abe:

"If you want to be of greatest value to others, see them as you know they want to be."

And another...

"Tell everyone you know;"My happiness depends on me, so you're off the hook" and then demonstrate it. Be happy, no matter what they're doing. Practice feeling good, no matter what. And, before you know it, you will not give anyone else responsibility for the way you feel - and then, you'll love them all. Because the only reason you don't love them, is because you're using them as your excuse to not feel good."
