Hi there,
I'm brand new to the forum (not-so-new to Abe), and I just couldn't resist requesting that my name be added to the roll call for the Alaska cruise! I am so, so, so excited about it. I am just loving the feeling as it comes closer and closer. I just finished watching a couple of parts of the video from the Alaska 2005 cruise - absolutely amazing.
I've wanted to do the Alaska cruise for a long time anyway, and to couple that with an Abraham-Hicks workshop is WAY beyond the best thing ever!
So...please add my name, Joan Ging, to the roll call! I'm coming with my boss and my mother (but haven't asked their permission yet to put their names up, too). Yippee!!
I did have one question - what are the age mixtures on these cruises? Wondering if there will be other 20-somethings like me? Although I tend to love everyone of all ages. :-)

Yay! Joan, you are going to LOVE this cruise. The Alaskan cruise 2007 was my first Abe cruise and the energy on board is amazing. There is a pretty big age range, although the teens and younger have "club HAL" which our 5 year old loved.
The people who go on this cruise are amazing, and even though the cruise boat is not even close to half full of Abe people, the workers, and even the naturalists on board, commented that amazing things seem to happen with this odd group of happy people!
One of the wonderful things I find about being around people with the same world view (read students of Abraham) is that you really can feel however you need to feel and won't be judged. And if you want to beat the drum of something bad, you'll be gently guided to a better feeling instead! It's like magic.
I'll be leaving on my 2nd Abe cruise on the 19th, going to Mexico. I'll also be on the Alaska cruise next summer too, and probably pretty much every year that Esther and Jerry agree to keep doing them.
Welcome!
Love I AM,
Carol

(Top right) That picture was taken before before David and I were surgically separated. Funny thing about that is - we don't even have the same parents! Everything has been fine since. We've both been standing on our own two feats.

(okay okay, I woke up early today and had coffee)

Hi Joan!
Welcome to the forum and especially to the cruise roll call!! You are going to have an absolute blast. Your age group is probably the least represented but you can start listing the positive aspects of that right now - and that will not only attract more in your age group, if that's what you want, but it will also put you right into the jumping up and down category of cruisers (of all ages) where you will join ME, for sure!
Glad to have you and Mom and Boss on board (we'll talk later about this interesting combination of cruising buddies! )
Love,
Jody

Rick, as usual you are cracking me up....
I'm having MY first coffee of the day (3 hours behind you now - Pacific Standard Time!!) and couldn't figure out what you mean in your post... then I realized... David took that picture and later photoshopped himself into it! Interesting that he picked YOU to stick himself to in that picture... )

I'm up early too, but no coffee yet. Just lots of restless sleep, with a young son who just yesterday really "GOT IT" that I'd be gone for 8 days and immediately manifested a headache, body soreness and a fever. So we've spent a great abundantly wonderful time snuggling and since he is a wiggly sleeper, I've been waking up all night. I don't mind though. He's such a lover. I've promised him to write every day on e-mail just for him, but as his brother is also out of the country, (for months... may be back by June) my David is feeling a little extra insecure.
So Good morning!

Love,
Carol

Hmmmm Did David add a little height there?
I'm the one who isn't looking at the camera, but at my darling son, Young David.
Added: And of course at my beautiful wife who is holding him!Last edited on Mon Jan 14th, 2008 10:46 am by CarolSmile

And let's remember to toast everyone's great sense of humor!
Carol, when I saw that you had commented on my comments so quickly I thought "She's up early. It must be time to milk the chickens."
Buhgawk! <----- Phonetic chicken sound.

Rick, not even the chickens are up yet. It's still dark here. Here in the Pacific northwest we've all celebrated that the sun now reaches about a 25 degree angle before heading down again. We are pretty close to Alaska, you know...
Chickens are hard to milk. Have you ever tried? Maybe when you come visit...
Love and Hugs,
Carol

Yes, that is the wonderful Tom that I am cozy with in the picture, and I think David had to do some photoshop magic to be taller than Tom, but still a few inches under Rick!!!

Well, being 5'2" makes everyone tall to me! Not to mention exactly the right size!

Hey guys,
Thanks so much for the warm welcome! My boss says (if you would be so kind) to add her name, Cindi. And you can add my mom, Nancy. We're in intense manifestation mode right now!
Yeah, pretty cool to have a boss that's totally into Abraham. I turned her onto them, but she's a pretty hardcore devotee now! We talk about how to incorporate their teachings into our work all the time, but also into our personal lives. And anyway, she's really more my friend than my boss, though she technically writes my paycheck.
She and I are actually starting an Abraham Study Group in Bellingham - we are having our first meeting on Wednesday! The response has been phenomenal. We are completely stoked!
How we met and started working together is a very good example of how well the Law of Attraction works when you get yourself into alignment. Maybe we'll get a chance to tell it to y'all on the cruise... ;-)

Joan, I hadn't noticed how close you are to me! Bellingham is not too far from Seattle, and Bainbridge Island is a 1/2 hour ferry ride from there.
I know some people who went to college in Bellingham, and I love the little hometown feeling that your city has. Kind of like my Island, which is technically a city but really a town.
You are right on the ocean and it's so beautiful, not to mention the relaxed feeling that Bellingham has.
Welcome and I hope we meet before the cruise.
Blessings,
Carol
PS, I'm looking forward to when you feel relaxed enough to show us your whole face! It took me about a year before I changed my avatar from this:

Oh, I'm relaxed, I just think that picture's funny. :-) Lord, there's pics of me ALL over the Internet!! <LOL>
Here's a normal photo of me:

Carol, I would love to meet you before the cruise! Let's keep in touch on that! I think we all may be coming down on the train, so we might come the day before. We could have dinner or breakfast or something! Your son looks so cute, too, hope I get a chance to chat with him. :-) Will your wife be coming with you this time as well?
I actually live on Lummi Island (which is less than 1,000 residents and accessible only by 25-car ferry), so I know everything about island life...and island time...and island neighbors...and ferry line etiquette... :-) I love small communities. I love Bellingham, too, especially how much it supports the arts, but Lummi is where I truly feel at home.
I love Bainbridge, too! I've been there many times. Everyone I've ever met out there I've really enjoyed.
