Additions for an Alaskan cruise.

Last year I was very cold on the AK cruise.  I read the weather forcast and believed that days would be in the 70's.  One day it actually snowed.

I only brought one wool sweater, no gloves and no scarves.  I wore that wool sweater three days.

I am leaving my summer clothes home and bringing several heavy winter sweatshirts, wool sweaters and lambswool and cashmere sweaters.  (Remember: I like to be warm.)

I will bring my favorite winter gloves, a rain poncho and a couple of scarves.

I did bring a heavy shawl last year and was very grateful for it.

I bring those Thermacare heating pads and wear them over my kidneys -- if I keep my kidneys warm I can handle much cooler weather.

If I did not mention binoculars they are great in AK.

A warm coat plus a light weight rain proof coat.

I will be comfortable this time.

Thank you all for the wonderful packing tips!!!

I think I posted this in the wrong place, so I am trying again.

I'm looking to share a cab from the airport to the port. I'm getting dropped-off (not flying-in), so I'm flexible.

Anyone interested?

My cell is 202-255-3502

Can't wait!

xo,

Lisa
