Wow Dragonfly; Just finished reading your story and  it made me feel totally energized and inspired! What courage and faith you displayed  when faced with so many experiences that were tempting you to go upstream. But you stayed the course and look how it turned out! Awesome, Thanks for sharing!

It just shows you what a resistant being I am or was or have the tendency to be!  I know that now.  I did NOT get it before.

Excerpt from my Journal from April 19, 2008 (9 Days after the Storm)

"As I contemplate The Storm, I continue to find all of its blessings.

Knowing we needed new flooring, etc., would it have not been simpler to create the money to change those things ourselves?  I realize now that I was able to remain in 'somewhat" of a state of allowing while heading to the office.  I kept repeating, over and over, 'Go with the flow!, Go with the flow!'  I tried to wrap myself around some of the blessings we had uncovered in another little mishap in our home with a leaky water heater.  I tried to remember that I had spent all night doing different processes to raise my vibration and the energy was really flowing.  We were having an Open House that day, I felt the importance of all the people who would be introduced to our new business.  I had spent quite a lot of time visualizing providing meaningful service to our clientele.  I visualized several of the key players walking together in unison with more people joining in behind us.  It felt so positive.  When I heard that the roof was off the building, it could only mean that it was over for us, I was stunned.  How could a night of such positive work conjure up such a disaster?

Now, I know the storm changed me….it shifted my vibration and took me off in a new positive direction.  You might call it a paradigm shift."

Now there is something to ponder! Paradigm shifts, WOW!  .

I am learning that if I can take care of tweaking my vibration along the way, I won't have to be beaten over the head with the bad stuff to get to the good stuff!

More, more, more.....

Cld111, you are so right about that.

Today was a beautiful, energetic day in the showroom!!  We held an event for the DFW Chapter of the Interior Design Society and the vibration was so high, I actually got choked up! during my opening speech.  We had a packed house, and we rolled out some new programs that "we have attracted" that will help everyone involved!!!

I remember when I was in college (1971-76), I would have long disertations with myself as I walked back to the dorm.  I envisioned having (offering) a place where people could explore their creativity and find their center (I didn't define it quite like this...but it's the general feeling).  i am not kidding you...I have manifested that place!  It is magic!  We got so many compliments on the way our place was evolving.  At one point I said, "I honestly have nothing to do with it, it seems to be arranging itself!!!"  I am not kidding you!

The circumstances that are presenting themselves from my vibrational escrow are a combination of a college dream, the good parts of the retail store, my experience with the really big projects......... and it fullfills my need to be an uplifter!!  The designers are coming to me to help them realize their dreams, and I am showering them with Abraham yumminess!!  I am getting such joy from their success!!  Oh my goodness, this is co-creating at it's best!

YES! YES YES!

Ohhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!  My absolute favorite Abraham quote of all time comes from The Rampage on Well Being (access it from the website).

"We are all One, Playing off One Another for the Purpose of coming up with a New Idea!"

Don't you just Love it when a Plan comes Together!

There is Great Love here for US!

Dragonfly,

Wonderful story, full of wonderful insights. When rock bands play really well, they sometimes say, “We blew the roof off the place.” The intensity of your creating blew the roof off, literally. You “kept repeating that we were not ready for the public yet.” It appears the Universe both gave you a reason everyone would understand to postpone your opening and the missing pieces you needed to do it in the way you wanted. From what I can tell, nothing went “wrong.” You just couldn’t see the pieces (literally) falling into place.

You and your husband are powerful creators who decided coming in that you wanted to dig deep when molding the clay. Abraham says that you cannot take a negative path to a positive outcome. You also cannot take a positive path to a negative outcome.

If you decide to continue on such a sharp trajectory, then if you know you have lined yourself up, all you have to tell yourself is that no matter how it looks, it’s perfect. It seems, if you had that bit of clarity, there would have been no pain. (I’m not saying this would have been easy, but I know you can do this now.)

Imagine going back to that scene and looking at that hole in the roof with awe at the power of the universe to rearrange things. Imagine waking up and saying to yourself, “I don’t know how, but this will turn out better than what we had even expected.”

The other aspect of course, is the power of influence. You had lined yourself up. Maybe your husband hadn’t. You received not only the news of the event, but also his conclusion: “This is like a National Disaster area! We are ruined.”

What if he had said, “I don’t know why this happened, honey, but I know we are on the right path.” Would you have lined up right away? (This is not to blame your husband. He has to create in his own way. It’s just that when we co-create, there are additional influences.)

From what you’ve written, you already have used this event in a positive way, and the pain is gone. From what I can tell, both of you created the event perfectly. You just didn’t realize it at the time.

Warm thoughts,

John

Thank you John for your kind insights.  You give my experience validity.  It was so big and important, but most of my friends are not ready to hear it from my new perspective.  The paradigm shift took place, and it was just as you said.  It was perfect that day.  I had a knowing to wait for the outcome.  People were coming to me to console me, and I was in some sort exagerated state of appreciation as I uncovered each little miracle.  It really didn't take my husband long to shift his perspective.  After the initial shock, he was able to access the situation.  The 1st Miracle was the warehouse.  He walked into water raining down on everything.  He wasn't there the afternoon before when I told our warehouse guy to cover everything in plastic.  As we uncovered our little "miracles", we focused on the miracle and more kept coming.  We really fed off of each other.  When the Mohawk Truck pulled up to the dock at 4:00p with our backordered carpet, it was perfect.  We went to dinner that night and counted our blessings.  When I look back on that experience it seems like a walk through time.  I know it happened, and now I look at the completed manifestation and WOW!  i can feel the power in utilizing the Laws of the Universe, and i have Abraham to thank for driving it home for me.

When we realized that the business was DONE, I insisted that we go to a workshop.  We are in Texas but San Antonio is a trek from Dallas, and we just couldn't make it work.  So, we decided if we were going to fly to a seminar, we could have our pick.  We picked San Diego!  The 1st Workshop for 2008.  This was pre storm.  I sat on the second row just to the right of the chair.  I had a Texas pin on my jacket because for some reason I thought maybe J & E might be a little homesick. The message came through loud and clear that I needed to tell the story of my life the way I wanted it to be.  I make it point every day to spend time in appreciation, and i have to say my life is matching my new story!  When I take people on a tour of our place, I spend time telling them what I envision for our expansion (in vibrational escrow), I describe it so deliciously that they can see the vision.

i journal and i have written this story every which way.  I am happy to share it with poeple who understand the Laws of the Universe.  So Thank You again, it's nice when my journal talks back.

Hello 1Angel and Sanne,

It is so nice to be here with new Leading Edge friends where we can be "wierd and proud"!  I really do have so much to say, and I so want to hear everyone's stories!

I was at the San Diego workshop in January, 2008 when Abraham 1st started talking about "Telling a New Story, telling the story of Your Life the Way YOU Want it to BE!!!"  I Soooooo get it....I  have run across a couple of threads where forum members are having trouble with this concept.  They feel like they are lying.  I can't wait to get in there and mix it up with everyone.

Thank You, Thank You for the warm welcome ::hugging!  I look so forward to exchanging energy and ideas!   This is co-creating at its best!

Love,

Andrea and Joy-Lise,

What fun to finally meet you!  ::huggingI've been running into Andawe a lot in my discovery process.  This is fullfilling such a need that I have had to share what I have learned and to benefit from others who are walking down the path of awakening!

Thank you so much for taking the time to hear My Story, I kept trying to tell my story to friends who are not TITITO..That worked so well, I started journaling my heart out!  Now, I have truly found Nirvana.  I have found a Journal that talks back!!!::LOL

Our dear friend John Waddell has started a cool thread entitled Stories that We Tell (and hear).  His attempt to engage Dragofly worked, and we have quite a lively discussion going on.  I invite you to join in the fun.  Andawe, one of your quotes is referenced in a most appreciative way.  Check it Out!

Dreamrose, we are still awaiting your arrival!

A Downstream Day!:oars:

One day last week, I asked my beautiful, vibrant 80 year old Mom to go to Austin with me to reposition a model after a complete repaint.  She lives with us, but she never gets to see very much of my work because I do so much out of town.  I thought this would be perfect!  We leisurely drove in on Wednesday.  We got the model torn down and covered in plastic.  I met the painters at 3:30.  They were supposed to finish all the painting that evening, so we could get in early the next morning.  In and Out...a perfect, efficient plan.

At 7:30 the next morning, I got a frantic phone call from the Manager.  She was chewing on choice words as she told me the painters got two walls painted of a custom complete paint job and left.  I took a deep breath and made a downstream choice.  Instead of going into the Management Office grumpy and complaining, I fluttered in all smiles with my "we'll work it out" attitude.  Just as I was rewriting the story of the way my day was going to be , I ran face to face into the new Senior Vice President of the Management Company who had just "popped" in unannounced.  I have never met her, but she has seen years of my work throughout her properties.  There was instant energy between us.  When the Manager walked in and introduced us,  my little "Oh Yeah"! light flashed.  ::fireworks

So, we find ourselves with hours to kill in AUSTIN, TX.  Austin is really like nowhere else in Texas.  I claimed it as my Magic City while attending The University of Texas in the 70's (1976 Graduate).  We drove to the University and found ourselves on the Drag.  We drove around the campus and just had the best conversation about my life 30+ years ago.  I took her down the streets where I lived and found some of it looked hauntily familiar.  She also got to see me in action with my clients and doing my work.  It was such a gift.

I could not figure out for the life of me how the Crew Chief could have misunderstood the plan.  Knowing what I Know, I just let go of the oars.  The Universe had a wonderful day in store for me.

-I met a person who could have a huge influence over future business, and we struck such a positive note because of my downstream attidude.

-I spent time with my Mom that I could not have orchestrated more perfectly.  I got to tell her how much I appreciated what she and my Daddy did for me.  They gladly made sacrifices for me to have my education and the best life they could offer.

-My client was so appreciative of my attitude, we reached a new level of trust.

-In the middle of all of that, I recieved your beautiful story, Andrea.  It just made my day even more perfect.

After going through all of the "big" stuff.  I am ready to settle down to "Life" on the Leading Edge.  It is so nice when we realize it takes small shifts to tell a different story.  ...and that new story can open up so many blessings.  We just need to "ALLOW" the Universe to handle it!

Dear Dragonfly,

Ah, feels so good and sounds so sweet to read your words! You are living it and  loving it! And, to think it all began with the power of your decision to turn downstream and allow the good stuff in. How attractive! How magnetic! It's electric! woo-hoo for you! :)

::stardustDragonfly::stardust - you and your stories are nourishment for the soul! I am so glad this thread has stayed alive - cos I wouldnt have wanted to miss it.

And just last week I was sitting on our creek crossing dangling my feet in the rushing water - and focusing on a problem - when right beside me landed a brilliant turquoise and black dragonfly - I have never seen one so beautiful!!!! And she woke me up - reminded me to see the beauty of the creek instead.

Welcome dragonfly!!!!

Hey Crazy Cat!

It's nice to finally meet you!  I am always exhiliarated to find people who also love the Dragonfly!

The Dragonfly made it's presense known to me in a most interesting way.  I was at a crossroad in my life.  I had just split up with a business partner that I had counted on for 17 years.  She had a young child, and our work took us away from home alot.  I felt lost.  I wasn't sure where she left off and I started.  There was a time when we finished each other's sentences.

It was December, and I had the delimna of what to get the clients for Christmas and how to explain to long term client/friends that it was just me now.  The Dynamic Duo was now one Voice.  When selecting accessories for my 1st project without her, I was about $10.00 away from meeting a minimum at one of my suppliers.  I looked down and there was a set of 3 Dragonfly Paperweights.  They were bronze and pretty cool.  I added them to my order.  When I got to the job, these little guys popped out of the packageing.  I packed them all in my suitcase and flew back home.

I couln't wait to get to my journal to write about my experience.  Yes, I could do it!! YES, YES, YES!!  I was writing in a little notebook and suddenly I drew a line across the page and wrote "Send Clients Dragonflies!  Find out meaning!" then I drew another line across and continued with my journaling.  The next morning, I picked up my notebook, and there was my message.  It was nothing less than a message from God!  This was about 6 months prior to the Law of Attraction book landing in my cart at Walmart, but I knew this was important.  I picked up the phone and ordered 5 dozen.  I e-mailed my husband and asked him to research dragonfly lore.  He forwarded the following:

"Dragonfly is the essence of the winds of change,
the messages of wisdom and enlightenment; and the communication from the elemental world.
Dragonfly medicine beckons you to seek out the parts of your habits which need changing.
Call on Dragonfly to guide you through the mists of illusion to the pathway of transformation.
The number 2 is important to Dragonfly,
so think in terms of two year periods when you begin a change.
Dragonfly brings the light and color of transformation into your life".

I immediately knew the Dragonfly was important to me.  As I looked around my house, they were everywhere.  They have been gathering around me for years.  We went into inspired action.  We changed my logo and incorporated the Dragonfly.  I packaged my little messengers in cool way and sent out a wish for the New Year.

May the Dragonfly bring the Light and Color of Transformation into your life.

I signed the cards and made no mention of my former partner.  I also sent them to everyone who had ever helped me....bankers, my CPA, account reps that never let me down.  The list goes on. I have sent gifts out every year, but I never got the response that I got from these inexpensive little Dragonflies.  I got calls and e-mails thanking me.  I got stories back similar to yours where the Dragonfly showed itself to them in a special way.  The calls were backed up with orders, and I started wearing a little Dragonfly pin on my right shoulder to remind me to reach for my guidance in all areas of my life.

I was helping my cousin with her new 2 Million Dollar home::rocket, and we found a dead Dragonfly in her kitchen during construction.  I gently picked it up and simply said that I loved Dragonflies.  She said she did too.  I didn't tell her my story at that time because, I wanted to give her the gift.  She flew in to work with me at my studio, and I had a Dragonfly packaged up with her name on it.  I handed her my present just as she turned to me and handed me a small velvet pouch.  Inside the pouch was a beautiful Sterling Silver and Gold Dragonfly pendant.  She said she bought it Mexico.  She found it when she got off the ship then searched all day to find another one like it.  She went back and bought it at the 1st place at the end of the day.  She never wore it.  She put in her jewelry box and never thought of it again, until she was packing to come to see me.  She said she knew at that time that it belonged to me.  I wear it proudly.  The necklace is turly a work of art, but the Dragonfly is what makes everyone smile.

When I typed in Dragonfly as my Username on this forum, my pulse quickened and chill bumps went up and down my spine.

Suncat, my new friend.  I hope you will honor me with your story.  I love sharing in the stories that guide us to the Leading Edge!  ...and OH, What a Rocket of Desire I felt when you shared your Dragonfly story.
