Hello everyone!  I just joined and I wanted to introduce myself!  =)

I'm Shay also known as Sidhe Lion and I'm a 27 year old woman living in South-Central Missouri.  I've got two cats, Marley & Luna, and I'm a Reiki practitioner.

I found out about the Teachings of Abraham and the wonderful Esther & Jerry Hicks from Louise Hay and Doreen Virtue, two of my most favourite authors (besides Abraham!)

Anyway, I'm so happy I found this site!  I hope I can make lots of new friends!

(By the way, I can be -very- verbose...Is there a set limit on how much we can write in one post?  I was going to write a bunch of stuff about myself, but I didn't want to come off as overwhelming.)

Peace and Love!

Shay / Sidhe Lion

Welcome Shay and have @ it. If your life experience has caused you to prefer to be verbose well I'd say thoroughly enjoy expressing your valuable self. No one's got the same perspective and life experiences and desires quite as you do so yours is uniquely valuable and welcome.

I'm glad you've joined us and look forward to what you have to share.

Hey, thanks so much for welcoming me!  =)  And thanks for encouraging my verbosity!

Here's lots more about me!

I consider myself a spiritual growth counselor, even tho I have never had any formal training.  I know that my "supervisor" is Archangel Michael and that my "boss" is God / Source.  I am on call 24/7, 365.  It's a wonderful job and I am a very happy worker!

My life is one of spiritual devotion. This is not to say that I'm some holier-than-thou kinda person cuz I'm not, but my spiritual path is very, very important to me. I am embracing my life and living it to the fullest, while being a spiritually-minded person and finding happiness in every moment and joy around every corner. Sometimes I find myself holding on to nothing but hope and coasting only on faith, but I wouldn't have it any other way.

I am a Pagan and I believe in Nature Spirituality.  I follow the path of Green Witchcraft, which places an emphasis on working with plants, flowers, and herbs for healing, as well as incorporating crystals and gemstones, and working with the Elementals and the nature spirits / faeries. My path is also influenced by Celtic Paganism, Goddess Spirituality, Native American Spirituality, Shamanism, and Hinduism, as well as the Gnostic Gospels, the Nag Hammadi, and the Gospel of Mary Magdalene.

I also consider myself a student of the Teachings of Abraham by Esther and Jerry Hicks. The Teachings of Abraham have changed my life in many wonderful ways and I'm very, very grateful.

In addition to following the Teachings of Abraham, I also follow the New Thought Movement which is a spiritual movement that emphasises the effects of positive thinking, the Law of Attraction, healing, Life Force, creative visualisation and personal power.

I'm a third generation Reiki practitioner, trained in the lineage of Diane Stein.  For those who don't know, Reiki is a form of energy healing in which I allow myself to become a conduit for the universal life force energy, which is what Reiki is. Rei = Universal Life Force and Ki= Energy. So, basically what that means is that I tap into the Divine Source and it flows thru me and thru my hands and into the person, plant, or animal that I am helping. I really love Reiki. My Mom, Aunt, and Gramma are all Reiki teachers and they got their initiations from Diane Stein. Diane is a well known author and Wiccan high priestess. My Mom gave me my Reiki initiations. I'm currently a Reiki 2 and I've got one more level to go before I'm a Reiki teacher, so I'm excited about that.

I've been studying Paganism for about thirteen years, and I've been a Reiki practitioner for about two years. I also enjoy studying mythology and Jungian psychology too, as well as different religions.

I'm into herbalism and I'm a student of the Herbal Healer Academy. After it gets warmer, I intend to plant a healing garden full of herbs and flowers that I will use to make teas, incense, tinctures, etc. When I plant my healing herb garden, I may do it in a medicine wheel shape because I really like Native American Spirituality.

In addition to being a student of the Herbal Healer Academy, I am going to be taking some correspondence courses offered by Susun Weed.

I may also venture into making my own herbal body care items (shampoo, lotion, soap, etc.), as well as making my own herbal beeswax candles.

Adjectives That Describe Me:

Multi-layered
Astute
Elliptical
Elusive
Dichotomic
Contradictory
Paradoxical
Archetypal
Stereotypical (for a little giggle)
Mythical
Mystical
Mercurial
Mythological
Metaphorical
Magical
Vibrant
Visceral
Voracious
Vivacious
Leonine (esp. in regards to my physical appearance...My thick, dark mane of hair and my build...Kinda broad at the shoulders and a little trim at the hips. I've also got the heart of a lion, and on occasion, the temper of one as well.)

I would imagine that some people think that I am certifiably kooky. I've also been told (jokingly?) that I'm a 24 carat fruit loop.  I take this with a delightful grain of salt.

My screen name really represents me on many levels. I'm very into faeries and Sidhe (pronounced "shee") is the Irish word for "faerie".

Sidhe Lion is also a reference to a lioness ("she-lion") and that's fitting because I'm a female Leo so I often refer to myself as a Lioness.

My name is also a reference to Sekhmet, the lioness goddess found in Egyptian mythology (and one of my best gal pals!)
I am proud to say that She has claimed me as one of Her cubs.

Robert Plant, now that's a fascinating and juicy vibe to match. Didn't know he was a Lion, you'd think I would have made the connection with the passion and the mane....I've got my own personal Zep concert in escrow; it IS and some how, even if it's in nonphysical or dream world it's gonna manifest. Then there's Pearl Jam...haha. Eddie Veder, another Lion??? just wondering. Nope just googled it it's
23 December, 1964. Oh well. I'm not that much into scopes just a fun past time when it feels good to me...haha.

We're in good company!  =)

Other famous Leos include:

-Ron Paul (politician)
-"Dimebag" Darrell from Pantera (RIP)
-Isaac Hayes (RIP)
-Mae West (RIP)
-James Hetfield
-Madonna
-Robert DeNiro
-Edward Norton
-Sandra Bullock
-Tori Amos (my favourite!)
-H.P. Lovecraft
-Estelle Getty
-Daniel Radcliffe
-Bret Hull

Also, according to some of my research, it would seem that maybe even Krishna might be a Leo!  (And quite possibly even Jesus, since some documents claim that he was born in late August.)

As far as Eddie Vedder, I believe he is a Capricorn.

Ooooo...May I accompany you to the Zeppelin concert?  Even if we only rendezvous in fantasy with Bobby Plant, that's good enough for me!

oooh Edward Norton "moves" me, something about his resonance resonates with me...haha...Have you ever seen him in American History X? One of my vry favorite movies...first half is totally contrast though (big warning, lot of contrast) but the ride that his character takes in releasing his resistance and aligning with his Self is one of the most dynamic and richly woven inspiring makes my heart soar kinda rides. I give him the oscar and the grammy for his performance as well.

Accompany me...oh girl, I've had that personal solitary vision of just me and them way back; Nope can't do it...can't have any one accompany me...well, at least not for the first set; than Hell yes, come right in and enjoy the party plzzzzz....and while we're at it what else could we dream up? how about Pearl Jam joining Zep and doing a few of each others songs...that works for me. and???

A few years ago, I dated a guy who looked a lot like Edward Norton.  It was a very intense relationship and provided much contrast.  While things did not work out with me and the guy I was with, I am happy to have spent time with him.

I've seen "American History X"...Very intense movie.

Another movie that really moved me was "Precious".

I can't wait for you to experience your Zeppelin concert!  Oh, how exciting!  I know it will come true for you and when it does, I hope you have a WONDERFUL time!  =)

Zeppelin AND Pearl Jam??  Sign me up!  LOL!
