Thanks Jebber! I just love that quote! I agree with it completely.
Abraham is right for me because I chose it! I asked, it was mine to have.
Kahil Gibran said 'the soul walks on all paths', there is not one path for everyone.
Plus there is a lot of value in all the world religions, all of whom say that God is within.
With love to all

Hi
I'm pretty much an abraham novice as well. I absolutely adore their teaching and words which all ring true in my ears. I've only met a couple of people who get it and I like others want to shout from the roof tops about how good it all is. I'd say most think I'm mad. It's funny how some get it and some don't. When I read The Law of Attraction after a particularly bad xmas (hate xmas, i know upstream, but i have to learn how to handle that one yet) I was completely calmed. How lovely was that and since I find the whole thing just expanding. I always want to know more. By what you would think is a complete fluke, I found out Jerry and Esther were having a workshop in IRELAND. Not fluke of course, I'm sure I attracted it. I went and it was the best experience. I could go on and on about that and all the funny coincidences and people I met. Then, I thought yesterday that I wanted to meet more people who like Abraham. Today I thought I'd google 'hicks forum' and what do you know.. here I am. It's brilliant and I hope to spend time here learnig and to meet nice new friends who have Abraham in common and don't think I'm nuts!
With love... Angela

Thank you Jebber for such a beautiful quote on coming into our own spirituality in our own unique way. Even within Abraham, we are all approaching it from different perspectives and experiencing it in unique ways; however, common threads such of love, joy, connecting with our Inner Being, reaching for downstream thoughts, moving up the vibrational scale and much, much more unite us.
I just love this this website because it is bursting with love and joy and such wonderful good feeling vibrations. I have learned so much from Abraham, including just letting it flow and those who are attracted to these teachings will come into our lives, as you have come into mine. Yeaahhhhh!!!
Remember that Esther's parents did not want anything to do with this, even though Esther knew that they could truly benefit from it. Esther eventually came to the realization that they were living their life just perfectly and it was o.k. not to share this with them. But she has many, many, many other people to play with!!
Love you all, Gail

Hi Linda and others,
I actually came to Abraham throught Judaism...I started saying the morning prayers, and one thing started jumping out at me- a prayer from Psalms that has G-d saying " I will satisfy all the desires of your heart.." It gave me pause, and every morning I looked forward to that part- it seemed like such a LARGE promise. I pondered it and pondered it...
And then, a few months later, my brother-in-law gave me my first Abraham book, and I understood Judaism in a whole different light.
I believe that these teachings are embedded within the world's "great" religions. For instance, in Judaism, upon waking one is to thank G-d for waking up. That is the same thing Abraham says on how to start a "perfect day." Judaism is about always being in a state of gratitude- one is to say at least 1000 "thank-you's" to G-d everyday- from when one sees a rainbow to eating a new fruit for the first time.
Abraham has allowed me to feel worthy to not only have desires, but to spend my day in appreciation and loving expectation.
And Linda and OT and Angela- one of my desires has been to visit Ireland and the UK .. and I am on that plane this coming Friday morning heading to Galway, Dublin, Cirencester and then London!!! ::frog
Love,
Aryana

Hi Happy2008
I had to stop by to tell you that when I saw your user name Happy2008 it made me feel very happy!!!
I'm glad you found Abraham and this forum.
You know, it won't be long before many people in the western world come to believe that we create your own realities.
Sience has definitely been catching up for longer than we realize. Especially physics, but so far it has been slow to trickle down to us "normal" folk.
At the begining of this month hrough a A New Earth forum I heard about Gregg Braden. Which, non-coincedentally, through Amazon's suggestion I found Abraham.
I looked Gregg Braden up on YouTube and he explains very clearly, how it is that we affect and form our bodies and experiences through shaping the atoms of the universe into whatever it is we believe. And that we use our human heart, which has it's own neurons, it's own mind!, that speaks the "language" of the universe.
There have been many scientific studies done reagarding the subject of belief and how they form the world, according to Braden. They'ved even figured out the percentage of a population needed to create changes within the whole population. And the trick? The people doing the believing have to consistantly "feel" as if their desire is already true within themselves, because when they go back to their normal thinking, conditions go back to the way they were.
I also noticed that there are other people who are writing about this subject mostly through a scientific point of view. Just do a little research, I would suggest start with Gregg Braden and you'll get many references to where he's getting his information.
But the answers science is getting are basically what Abraham teaches. Only with Abraham we get a much much bigger picture. YAY!!
So don't fret about and if you ever might feel that this is too good or too easy to be true, and that you might be loosing it, just remember that there is scientific evidence out there that states that you create your own reality.
Have a Dreamy Day,
