Hi happy members!
I have just started on the LOA path. I am delighted to see such a great community for Abe fans on the web. It is a great boon for newbies like me.Thanks David for starting this and thanks dear members for making this fun.
I would like to know of any of your best practices that helped you when you started on the route to be deliberate creators.
cheers!!

Welcome to the Forum!
I'm going to take a little different approach to your question while still attempting to stay on the topic. I've been studying the Abraham teachings for the past 5 years or so. I am very clear that my path up to this point has been perfect and nothing has gone wrong with it. What would have been nice for me to get right from the start (and it wasn't for Abraham's lack of trying) is that it's all about how you feel.
My journey from where I started was about "the stuff" and I thought these teachings and processes would be for a way to get "my stuff." But it has become more and more clear that "the stuff" comes as a result of feeling good. Doing it the other way around makes feeling good so conditional and requires waiting for the next thing to manifest.
As you check out this forum, you will find your colleagues describing the Abraham processes that work for them and some have even taken them to new levels of insight. But no matter what you do with those processes, do them (if you're willing) for the purpose of feeling good and releasing resistance. Then let the rest fall into place and allow the Universe to orchestrate the perfect rendezvous' for you.

Toot! Toot!
The best practice you can use is "Just focus on what you want, and have fun!'
There you have it. The secret of all deliberate creation. The only basic process you'll ever need!
Welcome!

Welcome, Monk-In_Merc. Looking forward to your contributions!
My own little trick was to walk around silently chanting "Abundance in life," syncopated with breathing and looking at all the things I appreciated around me. It was my own idea and great launch.
PS: "Silently" is a key word.Last edited on Wed Jun 11th, 2008 09:29 pm by davestone13

Hi monk-in-merc :-)
I'm new to this forum too... actually an occasional lurker for a while, but this is my first post.
I've been immersed in Abraham for about 3 years now, and really "getting it", the FEELING place of it for the past 7 or 8 months. What Scott said is the key, it's not about "the stuff", it's about how you FEEL.
I listen to Abraham everyday, and no matter how many times I may listen to the same CD, my depth of understanding expands more and more everytime.
When I'm sensing a turn upstream, I walk around silently saying "I am where I am and it's OK" until I feel the OKness inside again.
When I want something, I drill down the best I can to discover the "essence" of what it is I am wanting... what is the FEELING I'm looking for? For instance, how will "more money" make me feel? Safe? Secure? Free? Well, once you understand and KNOW and feel to the very core of your being that you ARE source energy, then you will know that you already ARE safe, and secure, and free... then you carry that feeling around in your gut and then you begin to see the perfection in how your life has unfolded so far, which then gives you the faith to trust that if it's been perfect up until now, it will be perfect going forward.... so... no worries... be happy!!

Big welcome and
I feel it appropriate to put my most favourite Abraham quote and the first quote that I saw and latched onto when I started to become a conscious creator of my reality.
'First I seek JOY, and all else follows' Abraham

Hello,
Monk-in-merc. Welcome. The thing that i did when starting, and still do, is to carry a book with me and when i feel inspired i read it. I had many insights into this because often something would happen in my experience and then i would be inspired to read the book in my bag...and i would really start to understand about the experience from what i was reading. I love reading.
I think it was in AAIG that it says to be a conscious deliberate creator its neccessary to have to have a understanding of the LOA and how it works.
Enjoy the adventure
love

Good point, songbird. In the preface to Ask and It Is Given, Wayne Dyer suggests carrying the book with you, even if you're not ready to read or absorb it yet. The vibrations will help you feel better, just from being close.

One time i saw a monk in a merc! I was walking in the busy town where i live and being mindful putting up posters for a friend who teaches qi gong, when he past in the car with his shaven head, i felt such a strong recognition from him and his beautiful clear eyes. I will always remember that.
Heres to all the beautiful monks in the world x

Wow!!!!
I am pleasantly overwhelmed to see so many responses for my request for best practices.
Thankyou so much Scott, Natasha, Steve, Davestone, Anni, Karen and Songbird for you loving suggestions and posts!
Anni, I particularly like the affirmation: 'First I seek JOY, and all else follows'
Here's something I do that some of you may find helpful for connecting to Joy:All through the day, I keep wishing for things playfully, and I keep a journal of successful manifestations. I write it just before i go to sleep. It helps build the belief that 'miracles are normal'.
