I used to come to this forum from my work without any problems until yesterday. That's after the site was down for a little while.
Do you know if there's any changes made to this site? I don't know why they would deny access to this forum from my work.
Now there's nothing to do at work anymore! ::LOL
Thanks

No changes were made that I am aware of.   Is it possible your employer changed a setting?

I thought I'd ask here first. Most likely it's on my side but I just don't see why they would deny access to this site. I mean there are a ton of other websites that are not appropriate but are accessible. hmm...
I work for the Government of Ontario in Canada by the way and they work in their own mysterious ways. ahh well...

Thanks David

Since the site seemed to have been hacked and routed clicks elsewhere, security software at your work might've picked up on that & put it into a mistrusted site list.

That's true.  This site was directed to a spam site.  It went on quite a journey.  Making a new Abe forum that is more secure is on the top of my priority list.

You can also access the Forum through the link on http://www.abrahamappreciators.com

Sometimes at my work place I cannot access the Forum directly as it is considered a chat site. However, this link only works when the Forum is up and running. Thank goodness for David!

The Appreciators page has tons of things to read, and also includes a link to the forum, but it would be like going to the forum directly to click it.  Give it a try, who knows?  :)

Nope, didn't work. Oh well. Like you said David, there's a ton of good stuff on that site as well so I've just been reading that today from work. :-)
Thanks

If you cannot get the site from being filtered, you can get all the posts as email, or any post from any forum.  See:

http://www.theabeforum.com/my_account.php?watched_forums=1

You can select either individual posts or digest mail delivery options.

Hope that helps.

Technical issue ...
Every time I load a new page on the site in the past 45 minutes or hour I'd guess, it takes a long time to load and the loading wheel keeps spinning, like it's loading my computer or hacking your site. Is it behaving strangely for other people?

Occaisionally there is a slowing down or hanging up of the site.  I don't know what I can do to change that.  I don't see any replies yet, though.

Something weird is going on. Sometimes when I click on the link to the forums I get through but then I can't browse because "access denied" and sometimes I can't even get through.
No worries, I think I might have found a workaround the security to access this site. Way to access sites that're denied. hmm.. hopefully security doesn't catch on. Hopefully none of the people working in gov't security are members here.::chin Oh well, we'll see

And who says I am not working for goverment security making sure we're all safe?    :)

Hope you find the workaround.  So far all is well as far as I can tell.  Must be a local issue to you and your network.
