Autumn, I am so relieved!! So it's not about my alignment after all!!!
::LOL

Did you check out that link above with the kabillion colors? (You have to scroll down through the basics and the grays, and then a whole world of codes and colors turns up...
...an' dey all work cuz dey be in dat nifty HTML lingo...)

You are showing in your drop-down list just what I am showing, so it's a compatibility thing. And I am having the same experience with the font size. Three is now smaller than 2 was, and here I am typing in 4.

Whew! Guess I can lay off the focus wheel I've been doing on tex
t colors!

I will be working on font sizes.  May take a day or so, and I may seek some advice from some serious techie pros I know.  I am not having a problem with the way the fonts are displaying, though.  2 is two. 1 is one.  3 is three.

Are you still getting this problem?  Anyone else seeing this?  What browser are you on if you are still getting the problem?

Firefox. This sentence is being typed in the default setting of 3, black, Verdana, that appears when I open the text box.

Then, I'll type a sentence in the default size and reset the font size by block-selecting the text and changing font size, as follows:

Here is 1. The quick brown Firefox jumped over the lazy dogs.

Here is 2. The quick brown Firefox jumped over the lazy dogs.

Here is 3. The quick brown Firefox jumped over the lazy dogs.

Here is 4. The quick brown Firefox jumped over the lazy dogs.

So you can see that somehow the 3 is smaller than the 2 when I do it that way.

Hope that helps.

________

And now I'll choose the font size first, then type, as follows:

Here is 1 typed after choosing the font size, then typing.

Here is 2 after choosing the font size, then typing.

Here is 3 after choosing the font size, then typing.

Here is 4 after choosing the font size, then typing.

Which is probably more what you were expecting! (this is 5, btw).

Surely some computer whiz will understand why that is the case...

Yes, I see there's a Firefox/IE issue with this.  :?

IE has no problem, but now Firefox is reading the code differently than it did.  I will work on this until solved, I am tenacious.

Law of Attraction and Alignment LOVE tenacity, I have found.

This may not be resolved for a while, but it WILL be resolved.

Oh My Source! I had no idea this was all going on the other day when David gave us Qzi-Teal. What a riot! I was just tired of using my pink and navy font so I decided to unlazy myself and use code.

Now I find out Leslie is hacking my Code! ::LOL

I love the excitement on this thread over our rainbow! ::rainbow

And I just realized that my IB knew all along what was going on over here on this thread -- my silly brain was elsewhere at the time. ::whistle

I love Colors! ::rainbow and the expansion here...

Between Leslie and I, no code, Sourced (from Source) or not, is safe.

Yes, as Hands in the Clay reports, mine is still the same. This font is the size 3 default.

No worries, it will all work out.  Be easy with it all.::LOL:kiss:

It's set now.  It will show "1" font, but as soon as you type, it will go to "2" in Firefox.  IE has no problem.  Verify if that is not the case and let me know.  Thanks!

Next up, set 3 to default.

Merci beaucoup.

Tenacity? Hmmmm....
Got your oars attached to the side of your boat?
Got your moleskin on?

Hahahahaha!!! Surely technical resolution is downstream.
Have fun getting there.:)

So funny how this all turned out.
All I was asking for was a darkening of the violet font choice, and lookee what happened. How glorious!!!

I just discovered something AWESOME!!! On the heels of Hands in the Clay's wonderful link to different colors (thanks HITC, and David for allowing one non-Abe link!) I realized that we can enter in color names, and they'll create an infinite number of delicious combinations, without our having to remember numbers like "#6000bf" or whatnot!

So This is color=hotpink.
Oh, yeah, you can add adjectives, and that affects the color!!!
like This is color=darkgreen
and This is color=lightgreen.
This is color=aquamarine
this is color=deepskyblue

Isn't that the coolest thing ever?!?!?!?
It is for me right now!!!!!!
