Oh, thank you David from the bottom of my heart! I used to work in IT as a systems and network administrator. I've even done some coding so I can appreciate the time and work it takes to keep things running smoothly online.

Here are some flowers of appreciation for you!

Have a great Sunday!

I see that.  Somehow the work that I am doing is being reset.  I will take care of this again and back up the code this time.

 I am on it.

Not that it changes things much on your end, David, but I have never actually had the Qzi teal and HitC purple
(:)) in my color choices - they just never arrived!  But I can type "bracket-color-equals-purple-bracket" with my eyes closed! ::devil It's rather "action-oriented" but does not yet feel upstream.

:kiss:Thanks for being so persistent with this! I imagine you are expanding enormously!!!

I've got the purple back, but Qziteal is being a bugger.  It comes up lime even though the numeric code I have is teal.  Something for another day.  I'm getting there.  If anyone here is a whiz at code, PM me.  I'd like to set the default to 3 and everything I've tried does not work.

Could it be something as simple as your using a name for the color that is not recognized??? That it needs the code and color name to match something that is standardized in HTML lingo, otherwise it doesn't hold on reset??? I'm totally right brain and not at all a codie, still, I was "asked" to send the question!

Good luck.

David,

I took a quick look at your html code and QziTeal should be #4FB0A -- right now you you have #009999.

However, since you are using Cascading Stlye Sheets in the software for the forum -- won't the default font colors reset from time to time? If you share more info with me about the software and version, maybe we can figure a way around this reset part.

I've changed the hexidecimal code to 4FB0A, and it still comes up with lime.  I must have something to do with the sequence of lines.  I will PM you the entire code.  Have a look and see if you can see why lime keeps coming up for Qziteal no matter what color code is there.  Also, see if there's a way to make 3 the default.

Thanks!

Hey! Things are happening over here on the other side of the pond!!!

This is what I am getting as the list of colors in the drop-down menu, and how they show up when selected/applied to text (the colors don't match their names, but I want to give you feedback, since nothing has changed on my end for weeks until today!). It is indeed ironic that purple is still not showing up for the purple petitioner! ::chin

black
dark red
red
orange
qziteal
green
newaqua (but shows up BLACK in the drop-down menu, turns text aqua once chosen)
blue
navy
violet
gray

Stay. Good boy. Woof!

Well, I think this is the first time since I launched this ::rocketthat the menu has actually showed a major shift, other than the removal of yellow, so the cooperative components are clearly increasing in number, there's just a jet-lag problem in getting them back over here. :-)

Definitely "you never get it done!"  Qziteal has to be made into Qziteal.  I forgot about fixing that.   I'll get to that.  Leslie thank YOU for your part in this wonderful asking, AND this amazing thread of how that happens.

Great news David! I was just leaving my office when I saw an email about this post.

I am going to send you a pm later today or in the morning about the resetting of code -- in regards to the font color and size.

I love my QziTeal and purple rocks too! ::bow

Sheesh -- I forgot to say ::TU
