Good morning fabulous Super Moderators!  I'm sure there's a way to do this... I just can't figure it out... ::chin

I'd like to set a font preference for the messages that I post -- for example, I tend to enjoy having a size 3, navy, Tahoma font.  Is there a way that I can set this as my personal "default" for my posts?  I change it each time I post a message... guess I'd like to skip that particular step.

Mucho Thank You!!

I know what you mean, I change mine for every post as well....

The forum software only allows David to choose a default for the entire group, and we don't have the ability to individually change our font preferences and make it permanent.  I always type my post in the default font (which is Verdana black #2) and then I "select" my entire post and then change it to the font, size and color I want.

Maybe if we all INTEND with a lot of positive focus the software people will come out with a new version of this board that includes that option! Can't hurt to try, right?

I've been hoping there was a way to create a default font, but it looks like it's not available.  That's okay ... I just added default font selection to my Source's to-do list.  It's done, folks!

This is an amazing forum, and I so enjoy being here!!

I will put this out there:   If there's anyone that knows of a board software that will not only allow member preference settings like this AND will import a WowBB database of over 500Mb, please PM me.  Oh, yeah, I have serious step one asking going on!

Every time I attempt to change my font color and size, it doesn't take. It puts the instructions in the box, but my actual post still comes out in the the default. I highlight my entire post, then change the preferences, but it doesn't work. Can anyone help me on this one?

If you have another browser try that.  Also, if you are on a Mac, the board looks and works differently.  That's all I can offer for information.

I'll second that!

Also, totalmacfan, my experience with my mac is that in Safari, I have to use html tags. like color=red or size=4.
But in Firefox, which you can download for free, the buttons work better.

I have to admit, though, I still use the html, because it makes me feel cool!  Like I'm a programmer!

As far as I know, the default size for this software is as it is.  If it can be changed, that is not in the setup adjustments.  Sorry, I don't know of a way to change the global preferences for font size here.

Can I just add my ::rocket for a default font of 3 for the entire forum !

Also another ::rocket to get rid of the yellow, aqua and lime colour options that are so hard to read against the white background!

Finally, a giant ::TU to David (and the mods) for a simply brilliant forum.::woohoo

Yours in middle aged eye sightedness!

You may not be aware of it, but there are 2 other ways you can view this forum.  Go to "My Account" then "Preferences" Under themes, see that there is default and default 2.  Select either and save.  One of these may be easier for you to read.  Try them.  Also, it's good to know that you can easily and quickly change your browser's display to a larger view.  Just click Control/+  to enlarge and Control/- to reduce.  That's a really quick fix and works on all websites.

As far as default as size three font, I feel your pain.  :)  As one with the same thing going on in the eye department, I'd like to have larger fonts all the way around.  There is not a control for default font size in the software, so I cannot change that part.  One positive aspect of smaller fonts is that there's less scrolling.

Keep those ::rocket rockets flying.  And thanks for the appreciation too!
