Here's what I envision when it comes to the vortex. I just imagine being right in the middle of it.

I (and others) see the human energy field as a torus shape (giant donut that includes our body and extends beyond it) . It is made up of a field of energy and beliefs. In the center is a whirlpool, and the vortex goes to our heart, the zero point space in our center. When we are still/aligned and in our vortex, we are not in definitions and judgments of the energy field, but resting in the magic field of all possibilities. Your vortex is the center of you. Be in love/joy which is the vortex of the Self.

Autumn, that was a GREAT thread. It had vortex pictures, but the energy of the thread was out of this world, especially as it built moment-to-moment.
But I also love having a new vortex image thread. Not being an artist myself, I am an appreciator and I would love to see some original vortex art here.
Here's one from the phenom that occurred over Norway last week.

| Being in a Vortex for me is like riding a bull. This is from Zen ox-herding pictures. They are showing stages of Enlightenment. This particulate picture - bull#6 is about merging with your Energy, living the life of your Energy, trusting the "Stream", going with the flow, riding the Bull. I don't know the protocol on pictures found online, but felt compelled to mention this one as being by Spencer Finnley on Flickr.
Alice: I've had nothing yet, so I can't take more.
The Hatter: You mean you can't take less; it's very easy to take more than nothing.

It's Dichroic glass It's glass containing multiple micro-layers of metal oxides which give the glass dichroic optical properties.
Had to look that up, good question. Made by Joe Crisanti in oregon.
