I love your answer!

I remember Abraham responding to someone who wanted to win the lottery. Abe said something like...

When we ask people what they would do if they won the lottery, they almost always say: Pay off debts, new house and travel. Those desires are puny compared to a big win. Their desire is no where near a match to the manifestation they are asking for.
The thing I love about this game and your answer is that it forces you to really contemplate desires on a really huge scale.

Cheers,

"People, all the time, are saying to us, “Abraham, I want to win the lottery.” Well, we know why they want to win the lottery. That is logical. We want you to win the lottery! We would like you to allow the abundance that is natural to you to flow to you. We know that money is synonymous with freedom, and that the more freedom you feel, the more your valve is open and the more of it you spread around to others, you see.

But there’s not one in a million of you who has opened enough outlets for that money to flow! You say, “I want ten kajillion dollars to come to me.” And we say, “What would you do with it?” And you can only tell us what you would do with a few thousand.

“Oh, I’d get out of debt,” you say limply. “I’d buy a new car,” you say limply.

We say, “You’re asking for millions and you’re [only] spewing ten thousand to the borders of the universe!” In other words, there’s a tremendous imbalance! You’ve got to BLAST those Energy dollars out there. “I’d do this. I’d do this. I’d do this! I’d do this! I’d do this! I’d do this! - I’D DO THIS!!”

And, in the identifying of what you would do, you open valves. You create Energy vortexes. You create a funneling sensation that literally sucks, from the boundaries of the universe, circumstances and events that will satisfy your desire.

This is what creation is!"

Hi James -- I did this game about 2 years ago -- it was super fun and worked wondering in bringing in unexpected cash. I only made it shy of three weeks and I wasn't good at spending it all!!! I saved...hmmm...so I think I'll try again and see how it goes.

I opened a fake Quicken account and it helped me write the checks and balance the numbers.

OK -- Here I go again! And I really appreciate all the ideas folks have given for providing funds to those in need. Very creative!  Here's to spending!

I went ahead and sent a PM to James so that I can enjoy the spreadsheet myself. I agree that $1,000 is too small as well, but I don't know if I can handle trillions of dollars in a month.

Therefore, I think I'm gonna start with like $50,000 and then add $20,000 per days and see how it goes.

So I started off with $20,000. No way I'm going to start with $1,000 since I already have that amount so there's not fun in trying to figure out such a small amount.

So this is what I came up with on day #1:

Going to travel to Europe for about 30 days during late summer/fall. I am always going to attend the "I can do it conference" in London which I'm really looking forward to. All the lodging and misc expenses added up to $8,000

I must say that it was so fun and life giving to log on to expedia so that I can shop around for hotel rooms. I guess my verdict on that though is that hotel rooms are all the same for the most part. LOL!

I will then move my butt over to Australia and Hawaii(Kona and Honolulu) for 3 + weeks. Not sure why, but the travel expenses added up to $8,800. Partially since I'll have a nice rental car the whole time + I'll be staying in nicer hotels.

With the remaining money, I am going to attend my beloved teacher Sonia Choquette's four day certification course in Chicago in November. Oh man, what an exciting autumn this is going to be!!

Oh and I cannot wait until tomorrow when I'm going to spend $40,000 on a brand new ride! More than likely a BMW but we shall see. I also cannot wait until it gets to the point where I can start writing $10,000 checks to people whom have really helped me in my life.

I'm now realizing that this game is not just a "let's work on this so that we can get rich" scheme...Because spending the time to figure out how we are going to spend the money is so much fun!

I'd create my own version of Dubai's 'World'. That would be fun!  My very highly paid team of experts is looking into that right now.  I'll do it here, where I live, in Weston Super Mare in South West England.  Of course it will be designed in such a way that it doesn't cause any detrimental effect on wildlife or tidal currents or shipping, so the cost will reflect that.  I will be employing thousands in the logistics and construction and they will all be well paid and have great benefits.  And of course I will have to provide housing for the workers so I'm looking into renting and buying property in the area.  There will be a knock on effect in that other businesses will be attracted into the area so I will have to build a new major road into the area and a new airport as Bristol airport won't be big enough.

I know ... instead of shape of the world, I shall have the islands spelling ABRAHAM so as I fly over in my private jet it will look amazing from the air!  Just beautiful.

I'm in! I did my own version of the prosperity game as well. It's the lottery game. I'm playing the lottery in real life. Every time I buy a ticket I think of all the things I'll spend it on. I got up to $144 million advertised jackpot. That's the highest the jackpot has gone since I started playing, so I'm excited to see how this game will take me beyond that number.

I love all the ideas for altruism - before you know it, we will have solved all of the world's problems, paid for space shuttles to colonize distant planets ($10 trillion ought to get things off to a good start) and who knows what else :)

BTW, in my lottery game, you start at $12million and add $12million every 3 days. However, I do think it is beneficial to start at smaller amounts so you can PRACTICE THE VIBRATION OF FINANCIAL ABUNDANCE ON A DAILY BASIS!

I'll send a PM for the Spreadsheet! Thank you TallJames!!!!

TallJames, I had this fabulous dream one time, where I was helping Oprah Winfrey raise a school wall~ like, literally, we were raising up the wall of the school like we were at some barn-raising get-together. I heard someone saying, "She gave $150 million to this school."

I had read in RL that Oprah spent that much on her school in South Africa, so you can imagine my surprise when in the dream I realized they were talking about ME!

It was completely mind-blowing, because I'd never thought about being a part of something like that, before~ having so much money I could give $150 million, easily?? WOOHOOOO!

And because it seemed so real at the time I was dreaming it, it had that kind of affect on my brain~ opened my mind to vistas I'd never dreamed possible, before! For maybe the first time in my life, I can imagine/picture getting on a private plane, walking across the sunny airport runway to it in wonderful heels and in a chic little silk dress....happily boarding the plane with my perfect mate, planning the fun of our romantic getaway, 'this is something I do all the time, la dee da, I think I'll shop for some things for my daughters while on the flight~ or make plans to install that water garden one of them wanted, or maybe I'll install a home theater system in the other daughter's wing of our house....I'll be taking them to swim with dolphins next month in a beautiful tropical setting, we'll be staying in our private cozy little mansion'...looking forward to that...!

It's opened up a whole new world for me, of possibilities that I can actually imagine, and I'm hoping this new openness will have an ongoing positive affect on my financial well-being!

I LOVE this quote!  Thank you for posting it  I think this money game is the perfect opportunity for me to BLAST those energy dollars out there.::money

James thank you for your speadsheet.  It is perfect.  I LOVE the cheat sheet.  Just look at how fast those dollars add up.

Seems like there are quite a few of us playing this right now.  Looking forward to hearing all the success stories!

I have a confession to make.

I didn't tell you guys everything about the Spending Money Challenge when I posted earlier.

It turns out there were some pretty severe side effects...

1). Extreme Difficulty In Worrying About Money

Ever since I played this game, I have had a very hard time being concerned about my finances. I just can't bring myself to do it anymore - no matter what is manifesting in my life.

This is a very serious condition in our culture.
It felt really weird at first but I am learning to live with it.

It has gotten so bad that in the past 17 months I have only worked at at job for 3 of those months. Yet somehow, I have managed to enjoy a six figure income the whole time, All of my debts are gone, and I have been forced to live in a beautiful 5-bedroom home in the mountains.  I know this sounds impossible but it is all absolutely true.
(side note: During the 3 months, I only worked 4 days a week and the company flew me down to San Diego on the weekdays and back to Seattle on the weekends)

I'm not saying this will happen to you, but if you are not careful something similar might.

YOU'VE BEEN WARNED.

2) Your Altruistic Intentions Start Manifesting Without Your Personal Involvement

This one really freaked me out.

Remember all those college funds I doled out in the exercise?

Well, I learned a few months later that the kid closest to college age wound up getting his tuition and books paid for by some random distant relative.  The next year, his brother got a full scholarship.

The essence of my desire fully manifested but I had "nothing" to do with it.

Honestly, WTF is that? ;-)

Abe always says to ask yourself what you want and WHY you want it.

In this case I wanted financial relief for the parents and cool college experiences for the kids.

I have seen manifested evidence of many of my other altruistic activities related to this game.

This has really trained me to relax in knowing that my desires are always answered.

I don't need to be there right on top of them. The Universe has got it handled.

When I really think about it - I wouldn't enjoy the work of logistically managing college funds or I lot of the other stuff - But I really enjoy seeing the results.

There maybe more I haven't told you yet.

I'm just saying...

BE CAREFUL with this one!

;-)

Love,

- James

Hey I've stumbled upon this question and any suggestion would be much appreciated.

I'm on day #2 and working on spending $40,000. I'm allocating $10,000 toward Abe's Australian/New Zealand with a nice suite room. Other than that, I need to get some ideas on what you can buy with tens of thousands of dollars other than a car and things like that.

Thanks a lot!

Various ways to spend ~$30,000
Motorcycle
Second car
sailboat
down payment on a house for someone
really nice jewelry ($18,000 diamond ring or watch or celebration rings from Tiffany in platinum with precious stones)
someone else's credit card debt
the average wedding
scholarship
kitchen remodel or other part of the home
collector's items
a modest salary so someone you know and love can take a sabbatical
A personal assistant for oh, six months
a beautiful vacation to anywhere - rent a villa, live first class, etc (Switzerland skiing, Italian or French wine country, Bali, St. Thomas, Argentina, all kinds of cool places)
charter a big boat and have a sunset party for you and your favorite friends
furniture shopping spree for a new house

Fun, yes?

Thanks for the ideas Rebecca!

I will certainly study your list for tomorrow when I have to spend $60,00.

As for today: Upon much deliberation, I have came up with the following ways to spend my $30,000:

-Upgrading both of my flights for the Abe cruise to first class(tack on  $15,000)!
-Going to the I can do it conference in San Diego + renting a $4,000 San Diego beach mansion for a week after the conference.
-Paying off some personal debt.

Not sure if this is directly related to this "money game", but I've somehow manifested $250 in the past 24 hours since I started this game. So the party must continue!

OMG I so love this thread and all my fellow players' ideas. I started the day before yesterday and I bought 500.00 Sfr (Swiss francs) worth of Abraham's materials, then I put down my deposit for the Australia cruise. Yesterday I bought my return flight to go to the cruise for 1500.00 Sfr, and Cougsatoshi I will later also upgrade to a top suite on the ship and rent a private jet to go there ::boatwave. I am having so much fun with this.
More ideas later::woohoo.

Have fun everyone ::grapevine. Wonderful thread James::bow ::TU::TU. ::hugging::hugging. Emilie
