Hi all!
Please feel free to post your focus wheels here, if it feels helpful for you to do that.

Focus Wheels are best used when your feeling on a subject ranges somewhere between Boredom and Anger.

Here is the emotional scale:
(copied from David's thread in the resources forum http://theabeforum.com/forum7/10001.html::TU)

Joy/Knowledge/Empowerment/Freedom/Love/Appreciation
Passion
Enthusiasm/Eagerness/Happiness
Positive Expectation/Belief
Optimism
Hopefulness
Contentment
Boredom
Pessimism

Frustration/Impatience/Irritation
“Overwhelment”
Disappointment
Doubt

Worry
Blame
Discouragement
Anger
Revenge
Hatred/Rage
Jealousy
Insecurity/Guilt/Unworthiness
Fear/Grief/Depression/Despair/Powerlessness

---From the book "Ask and It is Given", by Jerry and Esther Hicks, pg. 114

And I will post the process of the focus wheel when I have more time. If someone reading this wants to go to AAIIG and write the directions down, that would be lovely! Otherwise I'll do it later.

Basically:

1. Notice how you feel on a topic, then
2. Find a statement (like a PIVOT) that is the good-feeling opposite of that.
3. Write that statement in the center of the wheel, or in this forum, as your end goal of a list.
4. Next find a statement that feels slightly better than how you feel now, and that you can easily believe.
5. Write that statement at the top of this list. (Finding this first better-feeling statement is a challenge, often, but worth the effort.)

6.  Keep making statements that feel slightly better, until you can confidently write that final PIVOT statement.

I'll demonstrate in my next post.

How I feel now:
Feeling good cannot be the most important thing in my life.

PIVOT statement:
Feeling good it the most important thing in my life.

Wouldn't it be nice if I believed that?  Well, that's what the focus wheel is for.

My Focus Wheel on FEELING GOOD:

  • I do think that feeling good is important.
  • As I have done work to make myself feel better, good ideas come to me
  • Abraham seems to think it's pretty important.::devil
  • I like what Abraham teaches--it resonates with me.
  • They say, nothing is more important than that you feel good.
  • Well, that's good enough for me for now.
  • I do think nothing is more important than that I feel good.
  • If i don't feel good, I have nothing to offer other people.
  • I like being an 'uplifter' to the people around me
  • When I feel good, I'm a beacon for others
  • When I feel good, all the wonderful things in the world are open to me
  • When I feel good, my life goes really well
  • When I feel good, I FEEL GOOD!
  • I LOVE FEELING GOOD!
  • FEELING GOOD FEELS GOOD!
  • And it's important to me to enjoy my life!
  • And feeling good is a requirement for enjoying my life!
  • And since enjoying my life is important to me, and feeling good is a requirement for enjoying my life, then this statement now makes sense!
  • The most important thing to me is enjoying my life, and feeling good is a requirement for enjoying my life!
  • Enjoying my life is the most important thing to me. And when I feel good, I am fulfilling my reason for being, which is living a joyful life.
  • so, if nothing is more important than that I feel good,
  • then feeling good is the most important thing
  • feeling good is the most important thing
  • feeling good is the most important thing in my life!

Feeling Good Is The Most Important Thing In My Life!

 Nice to see you here, hon!  Focus wheels are AWESOME. I'm going to do one now!

How I want to feel: My happiness is not contingent on anyone else's behavior or choices.

  • I am already feeling better just by pointing in the direction of what I want
  • She's just trying to help
  • He's just trying to help
  • It will be fine
  • It's very sweet, actually
  • This is yet another opportunity to prove that I can get myself into the Vortex on any topic
  • Yet another opportunity to practice unconditional love
  • What I think about matters
  • I want to think the best
  • This is really a good opportunity to practice thinking the best
  • I know it will all work out fine.
  • I am a deliberate thinker.
  • I am deliberately thinking good thoughts.
  • I like thinking good thoughts.
  • It feels so much better!::dancemicky
  • I can be happy regardless of what anyone chooses.
  • I already feel better.
  • That is certainly worth celebrating.
  • I really appreciate that she wants to help.
  • This is an opportunity to get to know her better.
  • And I get to see R.
  • What a sweetie.
  • It will be fun.
  • I get to take the highroad!
  • I'm feeling much better.
  • It's really worth it to do this work.
  • I am doing so well.
  • I can be happy regardless of what she does.
  • I can be happy regardless of what he does.
  • I want to be happy. It's a choice!
  • I choose to see this the way my Source sees it!
  • My Source sees the bounce!
  • Healthy happy people.  People who love each other. People who get along.
  • I feel good! Nothing has changed in the circumstances, but I feel much much better.

I CAN BE HAPPY REGARDLESS OF ANYONE ELSE'S BEHAVIORS OR CHOICES!::tramp

Here's a great Focus Wheel from Abe on Relationships.

Outside the Vortex Statement:  I feel discouraged that my life has helped me to carve out an image of me in a relationship that I have not been able to fulfill.

Inside the Vortex Statement:  I'm exhilarated in the knowing that the relationship of my dreams that I have been creating is there and ready for my discovery.

12: I am a pretty good creator.
1:  I'm good at this when I focus and that's why I'm doing this focus wheel.
2:  When I take the time to focus, I get better and better.
3:  It's always a little shaky in the beginning but once I get going, things go well for me.
4:  I've been in situations before where it started off sort of shaky and I figured it out as I went and I don't see why this is any different.
5:  This Vortex idea is a new concept to me but I can feel the resonance of it.
6:  I don't believe that all those relationships I've lived were for naught.
7:  I can feel that I've gotten very specific about what I want.
8:  I love the idea that it's percolating there in my Vortex of creation and all cooperative components have been assembled and I am determined that I'm going to be one of the cooperative components.
9:  I don't have to find the person this red hot moment.
10:  I'm certainly comfortable in allowing myself vibrational alignment.
11:  I wouldn't want to bring someone into my experience before I'm up to speed with my idea.  I think that's why I've been slowing this down so much.
12: I've created the perfect relationship and I'm not yet a match to the perfect relationship and I'm wise enough not to settle for something that I can feel is less than the perfect relationship and now I can see my work is cut out for me.
1:  I'm going to keep doing these focus wheels until it's fun to do these focus wheels.
2: I'm going to start taking pleasure from the idea of focusing myself into alignment with who I really am.
3:  I believe that I should get what I want.
4:  I know that I can do this.
5:  I know that the Universe is on my side.
6:  I can feel that LOA has assembled the cooperative components.
7:  I believe that my partner is waiting for me.
8:  I believe that I will recognize this person when I see him.
9:  I'm good at this.  I can do this.  I want to do this and I don't have to do it all right now.  It's fun just to think about it.
10:  I like the unfolding of my life.
11:  I like moving into alignment with who I have I become.
12:  This is going to be really fun watching the Universe respond to this better way that I feel.  I haven't felt this good about this relationship in a very long time.
1:  It's going to be really fun to watch the movement that this much conversation that I've had between me and me has stirred up for me.  It's going to be really fun watching what comes.
2:  I might meet my partner tomorrow and I might meet someone  close tomorrow and one thing is certain -- it's on the way and it doesn't matter when it comes because it is coming.
3:  I don't have to take score every day, "Is it you?  Is it you? Is it you?"  When it's you, I won't be asking, "Is it you?" I'll be saying, "It's you! It's you!  It's you!"
4:  And I'm looking forward to meeting this person and until then, I'm happy to do this focus wheel.  I'm happy to get into the Vortex because I believe in the power of the Vortex and I believe in my ability to get in.

Thank you Leslie for starting this thread! I've been struggling with focus wheels so I'm so happy to be able to see and feel them here.

I absolutely love that this thread focus wheel is just a list because to be honest, one of my big problems with this process is the BIG WHEEL. I hate that you're supposed to make it so big and then try to write on the outside of it. Or even the inside of it. Too messy for me!! It makes it difficult for me to focus when my thoughts are all jumbled together on the paper. I constantly get distracted by trying to write smaller and smaller to make it fit on the page and then I scratch it all out and get frustrated and lose my focus and there you go, end of focus wheel!

I've tried making the 2 circles smaller so I have the "vibe" of the focus wheel while I write a list. But then I stare at the circles and it starts to look like a donut and there goes my focus again.

Are you starting to see a trend?

LOL Fireball!
Well, give it a whirl!::vortex1a Doing it as a list of progressively better feeling steps feels good to me in this forum.

And Marc! Thanks for that excellent example. I especially love that they keep going around the circle until it feels better.

Leslie!!  Thanks so much for this thread!!  I gently thought, "Wouldn't it be nice to be able to do focus wheels on the forum without having to have my own personal thread?"  Et voila!

I've been lurking on it, unable to complete a FW due to my intense Step 1-ing lately ... but just knowing that this is waiting for me here has provided a measure of relief.

To be honest, I get so embarrassed when I have a Step 1 moment ... like I'm not applying myself well enough ... like I'm a bad focuser ... like all this Abe stuff has just dissolved into a sea of worries ... so here goes ... but in case I can't complete my FW, I'll sign off here with a HUGE CHICAGO HUG to my VANCOUVER BABE!!!

There was a co worker in my office. I don't want to write about his actions, All I can say is that I gave him a nickname : Mr. Stepone .

What happened to Mr. Stepone ? I focusewheeled him out of the company!!

He got a great job offer (3000 miles away from me !!! )

I must say that it took a while and required a few pages of BOPA too.

Hey babes!!!::grapevineLisa, I'm glad it's RESONATING with you!:)

And Ez pz, it's so good to *see* you!!!! We've been vibing on different threads, isn't that funny? Well, that hug is coming right back atcha!!! ::hugging::wide::nodWith a smooch!

And re: Step 1--I know just what you mean.  It's like kicking myself when I'm down!::devil When I feel that way, something that helps me is--"This thought is just another 'Out Of The Vortex' thought. I'm going to find a way to feel better."

Which, by the way, was how I felt this morning.  I started the day so out of alignment with myself, I could have done all sorts of nasty actions. ::LOL Thank SOURCE the kids were still asleep!

I went for a LOOOONG walk by myself at dawn, just to get back into the Vortex, and it WORKED!

That is actually one of my favorite focus wheel statements:

This is another opportunity to prove to myself that I can get back into the Vortex.

(I was about to write 'yet another opportunity' but by typing it here, I realize that has resistance and self-judgment in it! It's okay for me to be in Step 1! It is why I came to this earth.)

Anyhoo here's my focus wheel for today:

Where I want to be:  I make good decisions
  1. I want to remember how I felt when I first made this decision
  2. It felt good. I thought about it, and it was absolutely the right thing for me to do.
  3. I just found the PERFECTEST quote about this topic!
  4. I think I'll post it here!
  5. I'm feeling fantastic right now!
  6. Every major decision I have made has eventually worked out well
  7. And nothing is finished anyway
  8. And I'm here to have a fun and interesting experience anyway
  9. And every decision I have made has led to an interesting experience
  10. And I am feeling good about my life right now
  11. I DO feel good about my life!
  12. I'm proud of my decisions!

I MAKE GOOD DECISIONS!!!!!

I am glad to find out I can go round a focus wheel more than once and I often end up running out of space and doing a list going up the EGS.

I also get mad at myself when I get thrown OOTV. I have been having some anxiety for a couple of days related to my new job starting Wed. Before Abe I had manifested serious contrasts due to old feelings of unworthiness and the LOA brought me bosses who used to put me down and so I have been doing loads of focus wheels, meditations and BOPA and got some relief. Then today the anxiety came back. I panicked thinking that I am going to manifest the same situations. I realized today that my determination to fight this had got me upstream so I let it go for now. I am going to bask myself to sleep now.

I just did my first successful Focus Wheel!::woohoo

Leslie and Marc, thank you so much for the great examples!

It was helpful for me to write the "Out of the Vortex" statement and also make sure I identified a starting point feeling. Then I wrote the "In the Vortex" statement and the feelings I wanted to have.

Finally, it was awesome to draw the swirling Vortex image. It really helped to have it as a visual reference that I could go back to! In fact, I'm changing the name of the process for my personal use to:

"Vortex Wheels"

Hello there! I love focus wheels...

Starting: Ugh, I'm getting tired and I really don't think I can muster the energy to do this work...

1. It's all about balance. I played earlier, and agreed to do my work now.
2. My body has stayed up much later than this and done perfectly fine.
3. I remember that one day where I took naps, that really helped me feel refreshed.
4. Most of my energy comes from alignment anyway, not physical SLEEEP.
5. I feel happy that I rearranged the brochure for that one class just now. It came out pretty nice.
6. It's still really early, the night is quite young and I have lots of time.
7. The actual work that I have to do is easy. I can study for that one midterm just by doing questions.
8. What work I can't get done tonight, I can do tomorrow during my time in between classes.
9. And when I think of my priorities, I handled the huge things already. All I have left is a few questions about a subject I already learned about.
10. Studying is quite simple, and rereading my notes will be enough to refresh my memory on that one class.
11. Yeah, I'll get that done and leave my spanish work for in-class. It won't be difficult.
12. I feel a lot more eased. I think I'll take a nap, get up, and then complete my history work.

Ending: I have great strategies lined up to help me complete my work quickly and easily.

Where I am:  Overwhelmed by all the artistic "work" I have to do.  Feeling "less than capable."

Where I want to be:  Confident in my abilities; eager and excited about watching the process unfold!

1.  This just feels heavier than it really is ... I've been here before.
2.  This is about doing the vibrational work first ... and heck, that's what I'm doing right now!
3.  I wouldn't have been hired for these jobs if I were way out of whack ... and actually I can feel that I'm qualified.
4.  There will be a time when I look back at this and say, "Wow, that was a whole lot of worry over nothing."
5.  I've worried less about bigger things -- look at the amazing vibrational work I just did with the day job ... this is pie compared to that.
6.  I know this feels different because my heart is in it ... but that's what I want - to be expanding my heartfelt endeavors ... so this is all mileage toward San Diego.
7.  I've done most of the work already, or these manifestations wouldn't have shown up ... so, let's take a minute to bask in the 90% that I DID accomplish and take the pressure off the 10% I have yet to accomplish.
8.  Wow ... I vibrationally manifested two bands and a play ... and a couple of commercials and ... well, wow.
9.  I feel lighter already.
10.  I love feeling lighter.
11.  The bandmates I'm meeting tomorrow are really wonderful people.  And if I've been brought together with them, I must be a vibrational match.
12.  I love the idea that I'm a vibrational match to great musicians.
13.  I love that this new music is taking me to new places.
14.  I love that I'm one of the most versatile musicians I know ...
15.  I don't have to have the "chops" this red hot minute.
16.  I already have my "chops" in my Vortex ... so there's really no "problem."
17.  Won't it be great when I have my chops?!?!?!??!
18.  I already have some new chops that I didn't have before ... and that's already fun!
19.  Chops come ... I want to have fun and joy while I'm moving toward my chops.
20.  The only relationship that matters is me having fun and joy with my music ... and that's a relationship worth vibrationally working on ... and here I've already done some of it!
21.  Music loves me and wants me to love me ... no matter what condition my chops are.
22.  This is actually a focus wheel about me loving me unconditionally.
23.  Won't it be nice when I have a great handle on this unconditional love thing???  Wheeee!!!
24.  The fact that I'm able to get this far means I can do it again, and I can go even farther the next time I'm not loving myself the way my Self loves me.
25.  I can pretend to not love me, but really I'm always loving me.
26.  I love that I always love me.
27.  I sure signed up for a wild and crazy ride ... and I LOVE that I did that!!!
28.  I love that I have the exuberance to come down here, remember who I really am, take all these breathtaking risks, and still remember Who I Am!!!
29.  I love that I'm going balls out into the world.
30.  I LOVE that these bands are feeding me right into where I want to be -- out there on my leading edge!
31.  I LOVE that this play is putting me downstage center on my leading edge.
32.  I LOVE that I'm living my leading edge life.
33.  I love that this focus wheel brought me to this place ... and by posting it, I'll be able to return over and over and over again.
34.  I LOVE that I can proudly post this FW and just feeeeeeeeeeeeeeeel great!!!!

I'm still a bit new to focus wheels, even though I hear Abe talk about them from Esther's POV all the time.

I have a couple I'd like to start off with.

Out of the Vortex: I don't feel worthy/experienced in relationships enough to be the Mate of a successful man

In the Vortex: I am worthy of all my desires, and I am excellent just the way I am

1. I am making this out to be more of an issue inside my head than what it really is.
2. I am making too much of an issue about labels, and am eager to let go of the labels
3. I know and accept that the larger part of me IS vibrational, and that my Mate IS in my Vortex.
4. I don't actually feel bad about being inexperienced, and I am quite pleased with the decisions I've made that affected my relationship experiences.
5. I really do like myself the way I am, and I appreciate all my preferences I've racked up along the way.
6. "Successful" men have been attracted to me before
7. I am eager to co-create with a powerful creator
8. I am a good and caring and open person, and I was always appreciated and valued in my past relationships
9. I have proof of manifestations every day - I am a powerful creator and Source flows through me.
10. I have experienced appreciating myself makes me more confident and more attractive
11. I know that my Mate in my Vortex is thrilled to have me in his Vortex, too, and that we are steadily moving towards each other
12. I am so excited for all that I have put into my Vortex!

I am worthy of all my desires. I am a worthy and powerful creator, as is my Mate. I am excited for what's in my Vortex and I am excited and eager to co-create and see where it takes us. I feel good about myself, I feel like anyone would be lucky to attract me because I am such a powerful creator. I feel ready and eager for a relationship unlike any others I've had in the past. I feel more self aware and more self confident.
I am worth it all.
