Hey Forum Friends:
Landed in LA to receive text that my house/dog sitter discovered that my car wouldn't start today. Fascinating contrast -- although my mood was so high it didn't bother me -- but (drumroll) everything was perfectly timed because my dog Belle had her first audition in 2.5 hours.
My AMAZING friend Kim picked me up and then loaned me her car and we got to the audition in time. Belle and I spent 30 minutes on camera and met the executive producer. Fingers crossed but we should know what's happening by Friday (which is actually my birthday).
[Funny that in NYC, I got locked out and in LA, my car conked out -- perfect examples of contrast that reflects the locale. I loved the NYC wine & escargot hang out moment and then opportunity for deep bonding with my friend Nicky. And then I loved Kim to the rescue in LA!]
This trip was so AMAZING from the Abraham perspective -- including being seated next to an old friend at the city's supernova hot new restaurant while having drinks last night + a billion other synchronicities!
1. Telling a new story about my family.
2. Wonderful times with Katherine and Leslie
3. Re-discovered my love of teaching
4. Enjoying my gallery show
5. Not worrying during two archetypal crisis on both coasts
And -- I felt this was like my cosmic reward -- I downloaded the new Orlando Abraham subscription to listen to on the plane. Track 11 -- where the guy talks about how his name is "Eddie" but people call him David (and my brother's name is "david"). And then the audience starts chanting "Eddie"...I mean....COME ON!
Thank you SOURCE!

I'm being selfish today...

How VERY LOA!! I had gotten all off-track on what page "goes" with which day and thought that today was the last day for this section of the book; so, this morning, I thought I'd like to catch up, and the page that really stood out to me the most was p.129. Then, I didn't notice others talking about a new thread; so, I checked, and today's page IS 129!! LOVE it!
"Your body is an extention of your thought. Your contagious or "inherited" negative symptoms are supported by your negative thought and could not occur in the presence of chronically positive thoughts no matter what..."
Later: "For example, worrying about work or feeling anger ... can cause physical symptoms -- you do not have to focus upon a headache to have one."
AND I LOVE the Abraham paragraph 2/3 of the way down the page, the WHOLE thing, particularly: "Speaking of what you do want while looking at what you do not want does not put you in alignment with what you do want. Take your attention from the things you do not want to attract and put it upon things you do want to attract. Focus on some positive aspect..."
Off to focus on the beauty of this day, the fun of hanging out with my son, the solution-oriented satisfaction of fixing a table, my clean kitchen, my strength and overall health, the deliciousness of summer,...

Oh My Source I love this thread!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Eddie Eddie Eddie!
And I'll have what she's having!
LOL!!!!
So guys, I'm going to start a new thread for July, let's just see what happens. I always LOVE that fresh energy!
Mi Alma, that quote from the book felt so good to me:
Do what is best for you.
Isn't that just perfect? wouldn't you love to hear that from every relative? Well, this is what my inner guidance is telling me. It feels SO GOOD.
I leave for a three week trip to the Philippines today. My kids are coming with me. It's exciting! And I want to be more 'friendly to myself' by not expecting too much of myself as I get ready.
Today's page 129 (so cool, Katherine!)
Focus upon some aspect of your mother that causes you to feel good, or focus upon something other than your mother that causes you to feel good.
Isn't that awesome?! The best advice for dealing with relatives. I adore my mother!
