aniheart::music  I've always loved music - loved how it feels and affects my vibe.  So, a little while ago I put together an "Abe Morning Playlist" to be more deliberate in setting my tone and to keep what I am remembering through Abe at the front of my mind.

These aren't just songs which make me feel good - though that is enough, right? ::rollingsmiley - these lyrics keep me remembering!!

“The Middle”    Jimmy Eat World

Hey,
Don't write yourself off yet.
It's only in your head you feel left out,
Or looked down on.
Just try your best,
Try everything you can.
And don't you worry what they tell themselves
When you're away.
[Chorus]
It just takes some time,
little girl, you're in the middle of the ride.
Everything, everything will be just fine,
Everything, everything will be alright.
(alright)
Hey,
You know they're all the same.
You know you're doing better on your own, (on your own)
So don't buy in.
Live right now.
Yeah, just be yourself.
It doesn't matter if it's good enough (good enough)
For someone else…

Got any?  ::group

You're OK just as you are.  I'm OK just as I am.  We are all perfect!!

Everything”     Alanis Morissette

…You see everything, you see every part
You see all my light and you love my dark
You dig everything of which I'm ashamed
There's not anything to which you can't relate
And you're still here

What I resist, persists, and speaks louder than I know
What I resist, you love, no matter how low or high I go

I'm the funniest woman that you've ever known
I'm the dullest woman that you've ever known
I'm the most gorgeous woman that you've ever known
And you've never met anyone
Who is as everything as I am sometimes…

As always, thanks for this one AA ::hugging

I keep reminding myself that the answer never lies directly in action - but in me allowing more and more of the flow of Source Energy to run through me ...in me allowing more love.

“Let Your Love Flow” The Bellamy Brothers

Just let your love flow like a mountain stream
And let your love grow with the smallest of dreams
And let your love show
And you'll know what I mean, it's the season
Let your love fly like a bird on the wing
And let your love bind you to all living things
And let your love shine
And you'll know what I mean, that's the reason…

“More Love” Dixie Chicks

…More love, I know that's all we need
More love, to flow in between us
To take us and hold us and lift us above
If there's ever an answer
It's more love…

 John Mayer ...

"Belief"

Is there anyone who
Ever remembers changing there mind from
The paint on a sign?
Is there anyone who really recalls
Ever breaking rank at all
For something someone yelled real loud one time

Everyone believes
In how they think it ought to be
Everyone believes
And they're not going easily

Belief is a beautiful armor
But makes for the heaviest sword
Like punching under water
You never can hit who you're trying for

Some need the exhibition
And some have to know they tried
It's the chemical weapon
For the war that's raging on inside

Everyone believes
From emptiness to everything
Everyone believes
And no ones going quietly

We're never gonna win the world
We're never gonna stop the war
We're never gonna beat this
If belief is what we're fighting for

What puts a hundred thousand children in the sand
Belief can
Belief can
What puts the folded flag inside his mother's hand
Belief can
Belief can

I'm the only voice in my life!  I can listen to other voices and repeat their words with my voice, but it is always my voice that echoes in my realities.  And I can tell myself anything I need to hear!

“You’re The Voice” John Farnham

We have
The chance to turn pages over
We can write what we want to write
We gotta make ends meet before we get much older
We're all someone's daughter
We're all someone's son
How long can we look at each other
Down the barrel of a gun?

You're the voice try and understand it
Make a noise and make it clear
Whoa oh oh
We're not gonna live in silence
We're not gonna live in fear
Whoa oh oh…

I know she's a disney star, but I love this song :)

Miley Cyrus-The Climb

I can almost see it
That dream I am dreaming
But there's a voice inside my head saying
"You'll never reach it"

Every step I'm taking
Every move I make feels
Lost with no direction
My faith is shaking

But I gotta keep trying
Gotta keep my head held high

There's always gonna be another mountain
I'm always gonna wanna make it move
Always gonna be a uphill battle
Sometimes I'm gonna have to lose

Ain't about how fast I get there
Ain't about what's waiting on the other side
It's the climb

Love your Abe Morning Playlist Victoria!!

I Believe I Can Fly~~R. Kelly

There are miracles in life I must achieve
But first I know it starts inside of me, oh

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

Hey, cause I believe in me, oh

If I can see it, then I can do it
If I just believe it, there's nothing to it

Hey, if I just spread my wings
I can fly
I can fly
I can fly, hey
If I just spread my wings
I can fly
Fly-eye-eye

Its My Life~ Bon Jovi

This ain't a song for the broken-hearted
No silent prayer for the faith-departed
I ain't gonna be just a face in the crowd
You're gonna hear my voice
When I shout it out loud

[Chorus]
It's my life
It's now or never
I ain't gonna live forever
I just want to live while I'm alive
(It's my life)
My heart is like an open highway
Like Frankie said
I did it my way
I just wanna live while I'm alive
It's my life

Great songs!!  Here is one I love to start my day with.
Ziggy Marley has many great vibe songs!!

Beautiful Day by Ziggy Marley:
Take a look into the sky
'Cause the world is not so pretty
Free myself from worries
So I can see
It's just a beautiful day
It's just a beautiful day

You could be sad
But I rather you not be
Don't dwell on the negative
Just the positivity
And it's a beautiful day
It's just a beautiful day

We're always trying to satisfy these wants and needs
Take you some time for that inner peace
When your eyes are open
You'll see things differently
There Ís so much gloom
Hiding the reality
It's just a beautiful day
Yeah, It's just a beautiful day

Take a look into the sky
Wake up
Take a look into the sky
Keep your head up high
Take a look into the sky

I take a look into the sky
'Cause the world is not so pretty
Free myself from worries
So I can see
It's just a beautiful day

I could be sad
But you rather me not be
Don't dwell on the negative just the positivity
And it's a beautiful day
And it's a beautiful day

We're always trying to satisfy these wants and needs
Take you some time for that inner peace
When our eyes are open
We'll see things differently
There's so much gloom
Hiding the reality
It's just a beautiful day
A beautiful day

Take a look into the sky
Wake up
Take a look into the sky
Look in the sky
Keep your head up high

It's just a beautiful day
I know it's a beautiful day
It's just a beautiful day
I know it's a beautiful day
No one can take that away
It's just a beautiful day
I know it's a beautiful day
Don't you feel no way
It's just a beautiful day

OMG Love this thread!!

Defying Gravity from the play Wicked!

Rachel:
Something has changed within me,
Something is not the same.
I'm through with playing by the rules
Of someone else's game.

Kurt:
Too late for second-guessing,
Too late to go back to sleep.
It's time to trust my instincts,
Close my eyes and leap.

Both:
It's time to try
Defying gravity
I think I'll try
Defying gravity
Kiss me goodbye I'm
Defying Gravity
And you won't bring me down...

Rachel:
I'm through accepting limits
'Cause someone says they're so.

Kurt:
Some things I cannot change,
But till I try, I'll never know.

Rachel:
Too long I've been afraid of

Kurt:
Losing love-- I guess I've lost.

Both:
Well, if that's love,
It comes at much too high a cost!

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity.
Kiss me goodbye,
I'm defying gravity.
I think I'll try
Defying Gravity
And you won't bring me down.

I'd sooner buy
Defying gravity.
Kiss me goodbye,
I'm defying gravity.
I think I'll try
Defying Gravity

And you won't bring me down.
Bring me down!
Ahhahhoahh

Call It a Lullaby by The Scene Aesthetic - this one got me through some HARD times

I've started to pick myself up, cause Ive fallen to far to admit
Its my fault for considering it
And these lies go too far to cover them up so I fall
Its your fault and I have to admit, you were wrong
Its about time I stood up, give myself sometime to forgive
Listen up and start writing it in
Cause these lines are screwed up, I wish I could ignore all the things
Its your fault for considering it

And you've finally started seeing yourself through my eyes
Found time and I have to admit you were right
Yes you were and I'm proud to announce
That in time you'll feel fine, you'll feel fine

Cause you're taking control, making sure that youve got things figured out
I'm finally taking control, cause I've got things in better perspective now
And I want you to know, and I want you to know
That we're expecting the best, we're expecting amazing things from you
Break out of this home broken town and I've got something for you

Leave me to my desperation, have somethings that might just hold me back from it
I've got time and an ear to listen and a feeling that you're really needing this
I cant help it and I'm really sorry, Im hurting more than I've ever hurt before
Crossed lines and a calm surrender, lots of compassion but you've got no where to go

And I've finally started seeing myself through your eyes
You have to admit I was right
Yes you were and Im proud to announce
That with time I'll feel fine, I'll feel fine

Cause you're taking control, making sure that you've got things figured out
I'm finally taking control, cause I've got things in better perspective now
And I want you to know, and I want you to know
That we're expecting the best, we're expecting amazing things from you
Break out of this home broken town and Ive got something for you

Saved me from myself today, heard from someone you needed to be saved
Saved me from myself today, heard from someone you needed to be saved
Saved me from myself today, heard from someone you needed to be saved
Saved me from myself today, heard from someone you needed to be saved

"Aftermath" - Adam Lambert

Have you lost your way?
Livin' in the shadow of the messes that you made
And so it goes
Everything inside your circle starts to overflow
Take a step before you leap
Into the colours that you seek
You give back what you give away
So don't look back on yesterday

Wanna scream out
No more hiding
Don't be afraid of what's inside
Gonna tell ya you'll be alright
In the Aftermath
Anytime anybody pulls you down
Anytime anybody says you're not allowed
Just remember you are not alone
In the Aftermath

You feel the weight
Of lies and contradictions that you live with every day
It's not too late
Think of what could be if you rewrite the role you play
Take a step before you leap
Into the colours that you seek

You give back what you give away
So don't look back on yesterday

Wanna scream out
No more hiding
Don't be afraid of what's inside
Gonna tell ya you'll be alright
In the Aftermath
Anytime anybody pulls you down
Anytime anybody says you're not allowed
Just remember you are not alone
In the Aftermath
In the Aftermath

Before you break you have to shed your armor
Take a trip and fall into the glitter
Tell a stranger that they're beautiful
So all you feel is love, love
All you feel is love, love

Wanna scream out
No more hiding
Don't be afraid of what's inside
Wanna tell you you'll be alright
In the Aftermath

Wanna scream out
No more hiding
Don't be afraid of what's inside
Gonna tell ya you'll be alright
In the Aftermath

Anytime anybody pulls you down
Anytime anybody says you're not allowed
Just remember you are not alone
In the Aftermath
In the Aftermath
Gonna tell ya you'll be alright
In the Aftermath
In the Aftermath
Just remember you are not alone
In the Aftermath

Imediate bounce for me::tramp

Come with me
And you'll be
In a world of
Pure imagination
Take a look
And you'll see
Into your imagination

We'll begin
With a spin
Traveling in
The world of my creation
What we'll see
Will defy
Explanation

If you want to view paradise
Simply look around and view it
Anything you want to, do it
Wanta change the world?
There's nothing
To it

There is no
Life I know
To compare with
Pure imagination
Living there
You'll be free
If you truly wish to be

Message to Myself by Melissa Etheridge

I’m sending out a message to myself
So that when i hear it on the radio
I will know that I am fine
I will know that I am love

I warned myself of the blackness in my chest
The razors in my heart would never rest

It’s funny how you find just what you seek
Love is what you get,
When love is what you speak

I’m sending out a message to myself
So that when I hear it on the radio
I will know that I am fine
I will know that I am love

I made every choice along the way
Each day I spent in hell, I chose to stay

It’s funny what you fear can make you weak
Truth is what you get,
When truth is what you speak

I’m sending out a message to myself
So that when i hear it on the radio
I will know that I am fine
I will know that I am love

So if you are listening
I am just passing through
You can take some for yourself
‘coz it works that way too

Sha la la la la la la la la la
Sha la la la la la la la la la

I will know that I am fine
I will know that i am love

I’m sending out a message to myself
So that when i hear it on the radio
I will know that I am fine
I will know that I am love

Oh, I LOVE "Let your Love Flow" by the Bellamy Brothers - the words, the music, the vibe- it's just lovely.  I don't know the Dixie Chicks one, but I really LOVE those words. ::hearts

I adore Matthew's Southern Comfort's "Woodstock". I love the whole Summer of Love, 60s vibe!::rainbow The words from the chorus move me deeply and give me shivers:

We are stardust, we are golden
And we've got to get ourselves back to the garden

And I particulary love this verse:

By the time I got to Woodstock
They were half a million strong
Everywhere there was songs and celebration

And I dreamed I saw the bombers
Riding shotgun in the sky
Turning into butterflies
Above our nation

And....just as I was typing the words to the song - it came on the radio....thank you, perfect!!::thumb ::hearts

I have what I call my "vortex" playlist on the iPod.  It isn't necessarily inspirational music, but "physical" music that I can't sit still listening to.  Makes me feel GOOOOOOOD!

Midnight Train to Georgia.....Gladys Knight

Little Pink Houses......John Cougar Mellenkamp

Hold My Hand......Hootie and the Blowfish

Do It Again......Steely Dan

Too Low For Zero......Elton John

Ain't Too Proud To Beg......The Temptations

Fever......Adam Lambert

Hallelujah......Lee DeWyze (gives me goosebumps)

Take It To The Limit......The Eagles

Many more, but you get the idea.

Blossomgirl, if you love the 60s (I was there) and want to blow your mind, listen to anything (and everything) by the Moody Blues.  I have all their albums on CD.  I will make a seperate playlist for them on the iPod.  They are in a class by themselves.  Nothing else like it.
