'The way to get to where you want to be is to give your full attention to what you do want, not to give your attention to what you do not want.'

Just today I pondered about how much my life has changed since I began to practice the teachings of Abraham.  I didn't realize how much of my life I spent focusing on what I didn't want.....'magnifying' the unwanted so much that I banged into it again and again and again.  Miracles are all around me now, I live a miracle.  I focus now on what I want, and I get it!! I live it!!  Attracting these teachings into my life feels like a miracle.  Being a part of this forum with all of you wonderful people who are traveling in the same general direction as I am feels like a miracle.  Making a few very special friends, who must be soulmates, feels like a miracle, Leslie beginning these study group threads feels like a miracle.  The ability to touchbase here on the forum enables me to keep my focus on these teachings and on my chosen path to joy...miraculous!

I love all of you and thank you for being part of my journey

::woohoo::woohoo Sandra, what a beautiful rampage of appreciation and love! Your post made me reflect on how much my life has changed too and I also feel that there have been so many miracles, although they didnt feel like miracles at the time because I had so much faith in their manifestation from understanding these precious, divine teachings!

I love the magnifying miracles Nancy and Susan!!!!!

::grapevine It's Friday and I am so excited for the weekend! Lots of fun and love in store for me this weekend!

This is jumping a head to Saturday and Sunday's pages, as I will not be able to post this weekend! This first one is an amazing quote that I repeat to myself all of the time:

p. 147 "You are very prticular about what you eat and what you wear and what you drive, and yet you are not particular about what you think. We would encourage you to be particular about what you think. Keep your thoughts on the side of the subject that is in harmony with your wanting. Think about wellness .... Think about being as you would want to be ...."

[Edits mine for emphasis]

"Train your thoughts on all subjects in the direction of what you desire, and through the improved emotional state that you accomplish, your physical well-being will then be assured"

Evey, page 147 is about MIL rocket launchers!! ::LOL

"Thought is very powerful."

p. 148 "Everything that you are living is as a result of the thoughts that you are thining, and there is no exception to that."

And finally, in support of how powerful going into our VR is, "The Universe does not distinguish between your thoughts of current reality and thoughts of imagined reality."

::stardust No wonder it feels so good to tell the story of the life experience we want! I am practicing telling and being the new story and I LOVE feeling giddy and inspired by it!!

I love remembering that it is my job to take care of how I feel, that I can always depend on myself to feel good. I love our miraculous forum and how we magnify the miracles in our lives with this abundantly loving spiritual community. ::hugging::grapevine

Wishing you all a most happy weekend!! ::hearts

Vavi - wonderful quotes you picked out

Here's one, even though its not from our Moolaw book , it fits perfectly .....

See yourself in perfect health, and if you will do it right before you sleep, then there will be many hours where you will be unconscious, where you will not be doing any miscreating to counteract that.

Thank you Dee!! :kiss::kiss:

Leslie, borrowed from Suzi's thread, this quote made me think of the brilliant post you made yesterday!

"It is SO MUCH the beginning steps to be manifesting the things that you’ve been asking for. And it is SO MUCH the advanced course in creation when you get it that the only reason you want that stuff, is so that you have a reason to measure your alignment with Who You Are. And it is the alignment with Who You Are that is the big prize anyway.

Jerry asks Abraham a question regarding a friends health.  The friend was perfectly healthy and volunteered to participate in a medical study to help others. In a short time the friend was diagnosed with the disease and died, i.e. croaked.

Jerry asked: Did he create it in his body by merely focusing on it?

Abraham:  It was his attention to it--(snip) The potential for wellness or illness is always within you.  The thoughts you choose determine which you experience and to what degree you experience it.

I worked for a nonprofit that was doing a capital drive for a cancer treatment center.  Every day I heard the word cancer, it was on every document, discussed in every meeting.  We were building a monument to the disease.  I thought I was taking part in something wonderful...we were helping people that were very ill.  We were making a difference.  We were making the world a better place.  I feel very righteous and good....at first. This was when I first began studying LOA, pre-Abe, but I was reading other non-channeled teachers.  I began noticing that I wasn't happy and the people around me weren't happy even though we were doing such grand work.  My spirit began nudging me to 'get out of that place.'  It wasn't where I needed to be.  I was learning to pay attention to that quiet inner voice of my spirit, my IB, ME.  I resigned and have never regretted it.  Sandra doesn't need to save the world...ahhh, relief.  Of course it took one more position with a non-profit to finally really get it....no one needs saved.  Now, I still love to do work to uplift others, but I trust my IB to lead me toward what feels good for me, I will base my choices on what makes me feel GOOD, feel God, not on what makes me feel guilt.

It really is all about me and how I feel.....who'd a thunk it folks ::whistle

Love y'all!!

This thread ROCKS!  Love and hugs to each and every one of you.

From page 147:

Abraham:  The potential for illness or wellness lies within all of you AT ALL TIMES.  And whatever you give your attention to begins to foster within you the manifestation of the essence of that thought.  Thought is very powerful.
(emphasis mine)

You said it, Abraham!  One of my favorite things about the Abe truths is that I now have a completely different view about my health.  In the past, when I'd begin to notice a little twinge or an ache, it would then have my attention, and then I would keep "monitoring" the situation and, of course, it often grew into a sickness for me.  Now, at the first twinge or minor symptom, I just refocus my attention on something else.  I try to give no attention to it at all.  I KNOW there's nothing to worry about, and that my thoughts/feelings/stories created it, so I can easily just let it go.

For example, last night:

I'm in a wedding tonight (I'm the best "man") and I was super tired after a busy prep week.  I was at the rehearsal last night and was kicked WAY out of the Vortex by the bride's "not-so-aligned" words and behavior (can anyone say "Bridezilla?!")  Anyhoo, I realized later that I was still stewing about it and it was having a negative affect on my physical body.  When I crawled into bed later I started to feel like I was coming down with something.  I felt my throat was getting scratchier by the minute...that kind of thing.  I was starting down that path of creating sickness in me.  But it only lasted a couple of minutes.  I'm getting so good at this now and I stopped myself as I decided right then and there that I was going to let go of my negative thoughts about her and I was going to think only healthy thoughts about my body.  I blissfully fell asleep a few minutes later, with my brand new kitty curled up next to my face (SHE helps me back into the Vortex all the time!) and I slept like a baby.  Well, better than a baby - they wake up a lot!  And, drum roll please...

OF COURSE I woke up feeling great and with a sunny attitude.  All is well.  I am going to keep my thoughts on the happy couple and the wonderful evening we're going to have together.aniheart

Does this stuff work?  Heck yeah, it does!

Awesome, Sandra, quite simply awesome.  This is one of the most widely held false premises and I, myself, go in and out of my vortex about it.   I love love love being reminded ... or remembering on my own ... that I am responsible for no one and nothing but me.   Simply allow others the freedom to follow their own paths ... play their own games.  This was such a huge contrast for me while my husband was moving through his adventure with cancer .... you can only imagine how I wanted to "fix it" for him.  There is still some residue that lingers and pops up now and again .... sometimes in the form of friends and family wondering why didn't I MAKE him do this or that.   But when I remember this was his game and he played it the way he wanted to, I, again, can feel the joy of his release and re-joining in PPJ.   I am at peace with where I am, with what is, as it is on this topic, and I thrill myself as I get better and better at soaring and it gets easier and easier to make the magic I can make when I deliberately think the thoughts that thrill me.  It is by no coincidence that your post came on the wings of perfect timing .... I needed to be reminded today.  ::hugging::ilu

Love so much page 147 quote encouraging us to be as particular with our thoughts as with what we eat and drink and wear and drink.

That is such an amazing concept and no one ever tells you that in such a straightforward, comparative way.

It's funny because I know so many food-obsessed people (myself included) in different ways.  Through the yoga community I know so many highly specific vegans and raw foodists and vegetarians.  Through the restaurant food world I know so many foodies and food snobs, most of them obsessed with details and new experiences.  And then I know tons of diet obsessed folks (everyone from normal folks to models/actors/dancers/fashionistas).  So many people in different ways and for totally different reasons (ethics / culinary delights / being incredibly thin) obsessed with food.  [And I straddle between all those various camps, too!]

But it's fascinating how much less picky we've been trained to be about our thoughts!

I have been really working on the New Story stuff and I was thrilled that the quote of the day today on the Abraham homepage is from our study book:

"Many people protest when we explain to them the power of telling the story of their finances as they want it to be rather than as it is, because they believe that they should be factual about what is happening. But if you continue to look at lackful what-is and speak of what-is, you will not find the improvement that you desire. If you want to effect substantial change in your life experience, you must think thoughts that feel different as you think them."

What stands out for me in this quote is the last part:  that we must "think thoughts that FEEL different as you think them."

Last week, I was telling a new potential colleague a story about a past project, one that had previously made me feel quite negative mostly because of one detail (the distributor went bankrupt).  On all other counts everything about the experience was triumph after triumph after triumph.   There was a completely wonderful version of that story that simply omitted that fact;  there were dozens of other equally true positive facts about it's successes both personally and professionally.

I realized and stopped myself just as I was saying it that I never really needed to include that element to the narrative again.  It felt like I had to be "truthful" and offer a complete picture of what went down, but I realize how silly that is.  First, they were not auditing my financial records for one thing and secondly, since I don't want to recreate that element, why ever mention it?

I am also -- as of today -- beginning a new alignment fitness regime for an unscheduled photoshoot in 4 to 6 weeks.  I'm having fun aligning with how I want to look for the shoot (versus being critical of how I look now).

I also think it's interesting on page 145 that Abraham says "every subject is really two subjects."  That's really interesting because I think we tend to think of things as basically good or bad, versus each subject having the potential for either element.

A few other thoughts...

I realize my career vibration has had a lot of mixed energy in it.  It's been a combination of joy and bliss and positive expectation with elements of frustration to powerlessness.  In this case, every subject is not only two subjects -- it's like 50 subjects!  But it was very helpful to realize that the energy can be quite split in different directions.

Finally, I like creative projects (obviously), so I'm having fun trying to come up with some new way of telling my new story.  Am I writing X new stories a day?  Do I create a bunch of them? Do I paint/draw/collage something them?  Do I refine one story more and more?  Do I rewrite old stories...FUN to think how I will explore and plunge into this!

"physical evidence seems more real to you than a thought. You say things to us such as: 'Abraham, this is really real--this isn't just a thought," as if what is really real and a thought are two separate things."

But a THOUGHT is the NOW REALITY and the MANIFESTATION is actually OLD NEWS!!!!

So all that really matters is: what am I thinking right now? And I can tell if it is good by THE WAY I FEEL!!!!

Oh My Source, it is so simple!!!!!!!

My thoughts are all that matter!! Don't complain about WHAT IS--just change my thoughts to WHAT I WANT!!!

'Manifestation of the essence of that thought'...since learning how LOA works I notice not only how it affects my life, but how it affects others around me.  A lady has a very powerful position and earns in the top 5 percent of U.S. salaries. She is financially wealthy in comparison to worldwide stats.  All of her basic needs are met and she has more than enough financial means to do almost anything she desires.  Yet, she has a cause.  She is angry about the injustices of those that she considers persecuted. She has lived her entire life with this feeling of the need to fight and win the cause.  This pushing against as caused her to have serious health problems.  She can barely walk, she lives with the knowledge that at any moment in time she could have a fatal blood clot.  Her body is pushing back against her need to fight for justice.

Amazing thought Leslie -- and I mean that on multiple levels!

Also, Abe Friends, just wanted to share that I got a government notice today seemingly intended for the last person in this space, a company apparently named:

UNIVERSAL MAGNETICS, INC.

I guess this is really an L.O.A. headquarters of sorts!

Wow.

I pondered this for a while...and thought about my `work`and how chickenshit I feel. Then something funny happened: I thought about this fear feeling and then wondering: "Well, if it is only a thought in my head I keep thinking and When I change my thought I will be allright...Gosh WOULD LIFE REALLY BE THAT SIMPLE?"

And...would I finally be oke then....Pfff.

Fear, Tears, Ahhh sweet Relief....

Thanks for stirring this up Leslie::hugging

( Same words different vibe....heard it all before and then suddenly you get it!)
