Golly Jeeps, y'all!  I so love this thread.  Catching up a bit on the reading and your brilliant postings this morning and intending to truly be "very particular about what I think" today!

I am getting some evidence that my vibe is not as clear as I think** it is; so, today is going to be completely dedicated to BEING SUPER-PARTICULAR ABOUT WHAT I THINK and keep tabs by noticing how I feel.  After posting this, I'm going to put Post-Its up all around my house -- some saying "How Do You FEEL Right NOW?" and some saying:  "What Are You Thinking Right Now?"

I am always putting up Abe-related Post-Its around my house.  Right now I have little messages to me from Source.  I think I'll leave those up and add in the new ones -- different color, of course!  :)

Those examples in the book of creating ill-health in such short order are really so true.  I've seen it in action in so many ways in my life -- going both ways.  I think that my mom actually clued me into this early.  She mentioned to me that she had noticed a correlation between people training to take care of "Special Needs" children and those people then actually having "need" to use that expertise within their own family.  (She trained as a teacher.)  And, she said that's why she steered WAY CLEAR of THAT specialty!

All of us here Know intellectually and also Deeply that our thoughts are where it's at, but the Everyday Understanding comes in waves.  Today, I'm catching a new wave of understanding that and "getting" that in my Everyday Understanding.  (I studied a lot of philosophy in college and always loved how Kant broke things down into categories like "pure reason" and "practical reason" -- we may understand things in a certain way from a purely clinical scientific way but when it comes to our everyday behavior, we often have different criteria for our behavior.  As human beings we tend to have a lot of inconsistency between the two.  Yet, to the Universe/Source/our IBs, it is all one and the same...  Anyway, I digress...)

p.148 "the Universe does not distinguish between your thoughts of current reality and thoughts of imagined reality.  The Universe and the Law of Attraction are simply responding to your thought -- real or imagined, current or remembered."

::LOL** upon re-reading my post, I notice some small irony in this statement -- since what I'm writing about is what we THINK is what is more true -- so, if I think my vibe is high then I am thinking it high -- oh, golly!  I see a rabbit hole here.  I'm going to step over it and keep moving...  ;)

ETA: Ooh, Kant, Katherine! And Lewis Carroll!
I love the idea of notes all around the house--thanks! I love the way you work this stuff.

Eddie--LOA magnetics!
And Su, I love your new avatar--you are beautiful!!

Nicolette, I was very moved by your post. You wrote: "WOULD LIFE REALLY BE THAT SIMPLE?"

and that is how I feel, too! And again, I like posting this because it is reminding me of the simplicity of the formula. (I seem to forget it so quickly! Although, since posting, I have had magnificent day, with flowers and laughter and two standing ovations! (yay!) So maybe I don't really need to actively remember it unless I am out of the Vortex!)

The formula: Think thoughts that feel good*=a good-feeling life

*think good-feeling thoughts regardless of 'reality'

=joyful life!!!

SO SIMPLE!

Another thing I just read in the AAIIG daily calendar: (paraphrase)" It is possible to modify a bad-feeling thought to one that feels better."

IT IS?!?! How did I not know that until now? Well, who cares? I am getting it now!

If my thought feels bad, make a deliberate effort to modify it into one that feels better!!!!!!!!

This honestly feels like magic to me. It is so simple.

Manifestations don't matter.
Only my thoughts matter.
If I care how I feel
and
Notice when I feel bad
I can CONSCIOUSLY
Modify a Bad Feeling Thought
to
One That FEELS BETTER.
And that is the secret to a joyful life!

I feel like I am discovering the cure for cancer!
!!!!
It IS the cure for cancer!!!!!::LOL

And Susan, thanks for the awesome story of your hubby in PPJ (what does that stand for?)

Pure Positive JOY!!!!!!!!!

AND, just noticed today's quote fits quite nicely into the conversation (my bold):

Many people protest when we explain to them the power of telling the story of their finances as they want it to be rather than as it is, because they believe that they should be factual about what is happening. But if you continue to look at lackful what-is and speak of what-is, you will not find the improvement that you desire. If you want to effect substantial change in your life experience, you must think thoughts that feel different as you think them.

One fire, Leslie ... on fire :exactly:

Quote from the Health and the Law of Attraction cards-card #14:

Front:  "Rather Than Seeking Cures, I'll Address Vibrational Causes"

Back:  "When you begin to look for and understand the vibrational causes for diseases rather than looking for cures , then you will come to the end of the pile of diseases.  When you are able to deliberately accomplish the emotion of ease and its accompanying vibrational alignment, it is possible to live disease free.  When you focus upon disease, you perpetuate more disease.  But you can break the cycle at any time and achieve wonderful physical wellness yourself-for your natural state is one of wellness."

Eddie: In the groove posting, yesterday.  I loved the same quote you picked out, but you added so much zing to it. ::TU  UNIVERSAL MAGNETICS, INC.   crazy on target, Eddie::woohoo

Katherine:  Inspired game, you have connected with, girl.  As with most everybody else, I plan on permanently borrowing it and adding to my game board.  I already have a bulletin board which is solely for quotes and feel-good things, but I love that the post-it plan has the perception of flowing the feel good thoughts and quotes with the deliberate intent of being constantly reminded of the Truth.  And you have to do it with more concentration than just pinning something to a bulletin board only to be seen when in the vicinity of the board.  I'm In ::TU:kiss: Then, as if this isn't grand enough, you are inspired with this magnificent totally awesome insight ... thinKING

Thoughts RULE.  Can you be anymore hot::LOL

Page 148:  "But we want you to remember that the Universe does not distinguish between your thoughts of current reality and thoughts of imagined reality.  The Universe and the Law of Attraction are simply responding to your thought-real or imagined, current or remembered."

There are a couple threads I have been following (can I mention this) that speak very specifically to this reminder, especially in connection with virtual reality.  I haven't received my copy of the Boston workshop, yet, but I gather, from these other threads, that quite a bit of the workshop was devoted to this topic....  visualizing and using our imagination BEFORE anything else.  Making contact with our virtual reality and bathe (bask) ourselves in the joy of fantasizing. (One member likes to substitute the word 'fantasizing' for visualizing.  Makes it more fun for her. ) I'm so on board with this reminder.  Just the idea of 'going away in my mind" takes me to far away places of bliss and joy and magic.  And as we all know, we all KNOW this ... it is nothing foreign to us.  And we've all  done it as little kids.  I used to LIVE in those far away place of  the mind, but recently got away from it as I allowed myself to become hypnotized by others during my husband's adventure.  Now, it's time to return to my magical land of dreams and beliefs.  As I told Sandra about her perfectly timed post, it is by no accident that all of these extraordinary messages (coming at me through the phenomenal posts & threads here on the forum) are showing up telling me I had it figured out ... long ago ...  all along.  It has been a mystical journey to this moment since my darlyn crossed through the veil and, whether in or out of my vortex, I have loved every moment of it because deep within I could still hear my IB whispering to my heart, "Feel the joy- Feel the love- Feel- Feel- Feel it all and don't turn away. You are the power.  You are the freedom. You are the magic. You are the love".   Yep, the Universe is responding to my imagined and remembered feelings!  Isn't life in the physical smashingly fab!!

Conjuring only feelings that thrill me...

Now, this struck me when I read it. This reminded me of a little clip from Louise hay where a young woman is walking the streets with all different thoughts in her head. Its like a constant reminder to be ThinKING deliberate. How many times I don`t?

So new story...stop the stream of being unclear, and ride this Wave -as you put it- in pure positive energy...Well, at least be deliberate about whatever you`re  thinKING.
Stop. What am I thinKing? Stop. What am I thinKING?

And: How does it feel? How do I feel?

Well, I love coming here, and I appreciate ALL of you.::grapevine

Eddie Neptune wrote: Last week, I was telling a new potential colleague a story about a past project, one that had previously made me feel quite negative mostly because of one detail (the distributor went bankrupt).  On all other counts everything about the experience was triumph after triumph after triumph.   There was a completely wonderful version of that story that simply omitted that fact;  there were dozens of other equally true positive facts about it's successes both personally and professionally.
Hello, MLOA friends. A quick drive-by (and I'll be gone for a while, traveling, but Abe-ing daily and thinking of you), and a "I hear you, Eddie" on this excerpt above. It is here on this thread that I am practicing telling my new story 100%, because I was brought up in a "find the flaw" environment (which was helpful in that it brought me to a level of perfectionism that serves me well in my business, but it is hard on the self-esteem). This "find the flaw" environment means that it is "wrong" to "boast" or to "toot one's own horn," and that any success must be modestly downplayed or paired with a "drawback" for it to be real, realistic, or acceptable. "Pride comes before a fall..."
In other words, the "yeah, but..." that must qualify good things. "Yeah, you're translating for huge companies, BUT does anyone who reads that stuff know your name?" "Yeah, you'll have a book coming out, BUT do you honestly believe you're some big-time writer and that you'll be able to live off of that?" "Yeah, you can dream big, BUT how long is it going to take for you to have what you want, and how bad is it gonna hurt if you don't get it?" "Yeah, you're in great shape, BUT what about that cellulite right....there?"

I am getting better at this, with you, my friends, as listeners/readers, and I so deeply appreciate you for that. To let myself say that I am a powerful creator, and to SEE that it is indeed MY efforts with the universe that are bringing me all the good I have in my life, to accept that I am worthy, to let myself focus ONLY ON THE GREAT STUFF AND LET MYSELF TAKE CREDIT FOR IT is one of the greatest challenges that has sprung from all this Abraham work. It is so easy to find the fault, or to fear seeing only the good, and that habit shall be released - snip, snip, snip - letting go of that whip that beats me when I'm proud of myself; so important to find the GOOD first, instead, and then tweak the creations as desired. Getting there. With practice.:shock:

Whoa!!  I was so feeling out of The Vortex these past few days... so many not-feeling good thoughts snowballing with more not-feeling good thoughts.  Not even coming here could help me - in fact, it made me feel worse.

I was beating myself up so badly for not being able to find better-feeling thoughts!  How ridiculous is that?!  Now, looking back at the last few days, I'm choosing to see it as a wonderful reminder at what a powerful thinker I am.  If I can make myself feel that badly - I am equally capable of making myself feel amazingly wonderful.... which I'm feeling now.

Glad to be back..... loving all the new posts on this thread and all of you!!

The same quote resonates with me Susanna. I know how you feel. I had  a panic attack today regarding money and I was desperate to find a process and nothing seemed to work so I went up the EGS reaching for a better feeling thought, then I made a list of all that I have in my life that is good. I was so exhausted. I meditated, fell asleep and now I feel so much better.

Thanks so much Susanna,  Me too!!!

I feel encouraged from your post to just make peace with where I am and jump back in to the mix of things.

I got back a week ago from an amazing cruise with Abraham. I definitely felt that my vibration was higher after the cruise than before. The issue for me has been how to maintain a higher vibration in the context of the momentum I had going on prior to the cruise.

My stream is moving faster than ever before & it was going well until I hit that tree at 100 mph.  Whoa baby!

I was out walking one of the dogs from a shelter and decided to do a little arm wrestling wtih the asphalt.  The dog just stood there looking at me looking at the asphalt.  I felt mad b/c I was out of the Vortex and didn't even realize it. I asked my IB what thoughts I had been thinking that brought about the temporary indicator and at about 2am I got the answer.

I was "doing" everything right in terms of dog walking but I was "thinking" thoughts that did not serve me, thoughts about all the 'unbalanced dogs' , how hard it is to walk them and thoughts about how the other walkers don't do it this way or that way.  Then LOA answers my vibrational signal, I trip over my own feet (losing my Balance).   balance.

And, then I read, most appropriately:  PG 149, "There is no such thing as an unchangeable condition...But it requires an understanding of the LOA, the guidance represented by emotion, & a willingness to deliberately focus upon things that make you feel good. If you could understand that your body is responding to what you are thinking... Theresa wouldn't be dancing with asphalt.

Thank you for the wonderful contrast. I so appreciate that I have a resilient body, that my injuries were minimal, I so love the way well being flows immediately when I turn and go with the expansion. I so love how much more aware I am of the negative stories I tell myself daily about the most ridiculous stuff. I love how a focus wheel or two can really change the vibration on a subject that keeps coming up again and again. I love my expansion. I love walking the dogs and enjoying the sounds of nature, the breezes, the blue sky, the companionship of homeless dogs. It feels great to be back on the thread with fellow thread mates, sharing their own stories in relation to this amazing book.

Lovely to be back!

Theresa

Molly! What a lovely memory To share with us all. I am glad it posted twice!:beautiful:::LOL

Theresa, I love the lighthearted way that you wrote about your fall! 'Dancing with The Asphalt' sounds so sweetly funny! And what wonderful realizations you have had.

I love this thread. I love the understanding that I am coming to. I love being in the Philippines and performing and feeling the love from the Filipino people who come to the show. I am half Filipina, and I am feeling my roots completely! It is SO WONDERFUL. They are very religious here, but in a very practical way, meaning, people really try to live as good Christians. That means, prayer and bible study and living a Christlike life. Well, it is so lovely! It is so easy to translate Abe into Christianity! "The kingdom of Heaven is within." "Our fight is not with the flesh, but with the spirit." Meaning--it is not about changing other people, it's about aligning ourselves with the divinity within.

Ahhhh. I feel so happy right now. The kids came to the theater with me last night. I was an hour early for my call, and a lighting guy was playing around, putting different colored lights on stage. The kids were entranced. They ran up onstage and played for 45 minutes straight! It was incredibly entertaining! And then, they decided to create a show! They did the Three Little Pigs! One played the narrator and the Big Bad Wolf and the other played all three pigs, and a chair stood in for the houses of straw, sticks and bricks, and it was completely adorable.

I took so much pleasure just from watching them. Life is so good.

MLOA page 149
"Focus upon more things that feel good."

I can milk this Three Little Pigs story for a Loooong time.
