Hi Guys!

I manifested a rose tonight! I love that!

So, here we are, the last chapter of the Money book before the Transcription of the workshop.

I love this chapter. Careers, as Profitable Sources of Pleasure. That really says it all, doesn't it? Our career can be a profitable pleasure. In fact, it should be!

There are so many gems in this chapter that I remember from the last time we studied it, like: "The secret to all success is keeping yourself happy." or "Make a career of living a happy life"

So! Here is our page-a-day guide! I have loved how people on the last thread here:

http://www.theabeforum.com/forum8/18651.html

have just been posting based on the quotes that others have laid down! It is awesome! So anyone lurking, please join us if you feel inspired! You don't even need to have the book! Just read some quotes of the day, and apply the thoughts to your life.

There's more chapter than month, but we will handle that come September.

Hi Leslie:kiss:

Thanks for starting a brand new thread! How was the flight?::rocket

"Make a career of living a happy life" sounds perfect to me as I keep stumbling over my question What career shall I pick?

I just love `being`and feeling good. When I go further than that , I seem to lose myself in thinking thinking thinking and feeling -not so good-.:?

If there is fear underneath I will get rid of that, in time all answers will come to me...In the mean time I will enjoy my ride in being the best me I can be, loving myself and my son, who mirrors my fears and -out of alignment- feelings. ::rocketDealing with that is a career on its own!!

I will dedicate this month -again- to Alignment. I love this place and all the people in it, sometimes I laugh so loud my son asks me: What`s up mum?

I love coming here and feeling you are a part of my non- physical friends::LOLcause you`re all so freaking far away from me, but wow, ::woohooyou are all here, all here...

MMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, coming here is Feeling Good and ::stardustFeeling Better ::stardustas one writes along...

I wish I had so much money now I would invite All of you to Hollandia and we will have a blast! Where are all those jets? Oke, I get carried away and I love it! Don`t you just love feeling good and have a smile on your face?::devil

Here`s to a Career of Living a ::musicGood::musicand Happy Life

See you soon!

I just love the way they start this section by really breaking it down and challenging the assumptions about career and life's work.  p.171

Earlier today I read this wonderful thread that Leslie began for this section of the book....when I read the title 'Careers, as Profitable Sources of Pleasure'...I thought 'Universe I want my book!! I want back in the study-group!!'  and, guess what folks, an hour later both of my MLOA books appeared.....they were stacked neatly together just waiting for me to be aligned and able to see them again...dontcha just love knowing how LOA works::grapevine

I love Abrahams question to Jerry...

'Are you telling us that it is a wide-spread belief, or accepted desire, of your culture to choose a career and expect to live happily ever after within one topic, forevermore?'

Me too.  I was thinking that when I finished high school I had not idea what career I was going to choose when I started college.  I've always been creative and advertising appealed to me but my parents expected more from me so I ended up going to an Engineering school and becoming an Industrial Engineer.  I worked in that field for 1 year.  That's it.  It wasn't for me.  I worked in another industry for a while and now I am a SAHM that wants those creative forces to come out.  I like to paint and I think I want to do that for a living.  I am looking forward to my youngest to start her little school this year, that will give me some time during the week to give painting a try.  I can't wait to first get in the Vortex and then paint whatever I see in my heart.  Talk about a change in careers, it is more like a hobby I would say. I am hoping to be able to sell my paintings.  Let's rephrase that, I see myself selling my paintings to people that match the vibration of my paintings.  ::cool

I will hold that vision for you, Mi Alma! IT'S DONE!

and Sandra, I love your story! When we are ready, the universe just shifts! It's a beautiful thing.

So, I was in Santa Fe, and I just arrived back in NYC--I flew back Economy.  What I found interesting is that actually, the benefits of flying Net Jets in this particular instance were mostly the psychic benefits of thinking thoughts like "I've dreamt of this for so long, and now here, it is happening!" and "I feel so special."

As I started finding ways to feel special in Economy, I felt better.  It's all in my mind!  Feeling like I'm special is a mental thing, it has nothing to do with the circumstances, really.

Because, i AM special. It's a miracle that planes even fly! That I can be in Santa Fe one day and New York the next. That I have this level of freedom.  It is miraculous. I can think about Economy, or anything, however I choose.  It's best to choose thoughts that feel good!

So, back to the topic at hand--careers.  I LOVE this topic, and Abe's take on the subject.  As Katherine said, I love how they break it down on this page--like what does the word really mean.

Although I love my work, I like the feeling of relief I get from realizing that I don't "Have to do it for the rest of my life."  That's just a belief. PHEW!

Absolutelly Leslie! We can do whatever we feel passionate about! It may change as the years go by, or it may not, but it is all up to US! ::woohoo

I love today's page.  I highlighted most of it but the one that caught my eye the most was this:

Page 172

"...without joy, you cannot experience true expansion."

So, when we have contrast we expand, and then we turn our attention to what we want and then feel joy which helps us experience TRUE EXPANSION.  I don't know why I was thinking all this time that contrast is the only way to expansion.  I didn't realize that when I am joyful I am also expanding.  36_13_3 ::singer::singer::singer

This is my post # 777.

Must be my lucky day. Why not my lucky week? Actually it is a beginning of new period in my life. My life is so good and appreciated, so I am not in an asking mode today. More like : bring it on! I’ll take it, bring some contrast and I’ll turn it into the vortex. I love all the people that read and write here, you are all welcome to my blessing, the more you take the more will turn back to me.

Happy birthday Elena, Sandra and Nancy.

I am living this p.172 "allow yourself to follow the flow of those inspired ideas."  I was not even thinking about starting a new business, and one morning in the span of less than an hour, I was inspired.  I "downloaded" a complete business plan, and it got me so jazzed and inspired that I dropped everything else and am implementing that plan.  It is awesome and fun, and I can't wait to do the "work" every day -- and I just love our ability to do tons of different things in our lives.  When I was younger, people tried to influence me to stick with a job for an extended period of time -- even after it was interesting to me.  The idea was that it would "look better" on my resume to have longevity with my employers.  Gack.  I'm so glad I've done all the crazy, wild different things I've done.  It has all led me to this moment now.  How perfect is that!! ♥ ♥

Anyway, as I follow my inspired idea, I see the forces of the Universe lining things up for me.  It is so awesome.  (And, the topic of my new biz is related to the LOA; so, I get to play with this stuff all day every day.  How great is THAT!!)

And, I also the idea of setting my "dominant intent and reason for existence is to live happily ever after."  YAY!  Reminds me of that song from the movie Enchanted "Ever Ever After" some of the lyrics:

...Ever ever after::music
Though the world will tell you it's not smart

Ever ever after::music
The world can be yours if you let your heart
Believe in ever after

No wonder your heart feels it's flying::music
Your head feels it's spinning
Each happy ending's a brand new beginning
Let yourself be enchanted, you just might break through

To ever ever after::music
Forever could even start today
Ever ever after
Maybe it's just one wish away
Your ever ever after

Katherine:

I was reading the Modified Prosperity Game that is on the forum and I read many of your posts and I was thinking that your new business venture and you playing that game had some sort of connection?  Because you don't know how big your business will get, it could grow so much that it could give you the level of freedom that you were feeling while playing spending a billiion a day.  What do you think? I remember reading Hands in the Clay post that she had increased her income considerably after playing the original game.

Yes, MiAlma, I definitely have that sort of big vision for my future, and I believe that this business will definitely be a part of that!  It is so exciting!  ♥

I have so much to write that instead I'm just going to meditate.

However, i just wrote in my book the day we're reading each page based on Leslie's entry at the top of this thread -- which I love doing, it helps me stay on track -- and love that we have a new day this month:   August 32!

We are manifesting changes in the calendar and time space continuum!

Me, too, Edward!  Seeing August 32 made me unbearably happy -- don't know why, but when I get that happy, I don't ask questions...

Just think of all the possibilities in that bonus day!!  ♥ ♥

Thank you, Leslie, for starting this new thread for the new section. I too am looking forward to reviewing the wisdom this section has to offer.

I've been silent*, on this thread, this past month as Section 2 (about Health) gave me an opportunity to fulfill my primary intention for this Study Group (to "get" these teachings in a practical way, learning how to apply them to my daily life. Note to Self: Next time let's do it without manifesting physical symptoms, ok?) Reading the last section (about weight) challenged me by illuminating my discomfort with my current weight/physique. Perhaps, allowing that issue to stick in my craw brought to head some work issues, so I am ready to get started on this section, too.

I'm warning you that I'll probably have "wacky" questions in this section as I presently work in Customer Service, but often I find myself challenged, in that environment, to apply these teachings, especially the ones about "not giving a rip."

I love that you, Leslie, are such a powerful creator that you've created an abundance of days for the month. (Meant entirely in a nice, loving, playful way!--I have to qualfy this because, this past month, it seems that I've been a vibrational match to people who want to co-create a contentious experience with me (see above).

"He's baaaackkkkk...."

Paul.

*I stayed silent to tend to my vibe, work on my story and many stories, it seems, needed revision at once. ;)

'...without a real perception of freedom, you will never be joyful; and without joy, you cannot experience true expansion. So, childish as it may seem to many, it is natural that your life inspires your next adventure and your next and your next.'

Ahh...relief! Thank you Abraham!! I get bored......I came I saw I conquered...and I get ready to move on...but wait!! you owe your employer loyalty...but wait!! you went to university forever and trained for this.....you're stuck girl...this is it for the REST OF YOUR LIFE!  oh those voices that I have heard when I have been ready to move on.....so much freedom in hearing this again from Abraham..it may seem childish, but it is natural that we conquer then want to move on....love these teachings!

'We encourage you to decide, as early in life as possible, that your dominant intent and reason for existence is to live happily ever after.'

My son graduated from highschool this year.  I am so appreciative that I have been studying these teachings and am so relaxed about his future.  It is HIS future not mine.  In my graduation card to him I wrote that my wish for him is to 'follow his bliss' and to do 'what makes his heart sing'.  He will be just fine, and so will I.
