I have a good example of a wish being manifested.

Ten years ago, my sister and I, among others, lived together in a country house. We used to talk about how the perfect living situation would be us living close but in separate houses, able to share the same patch of land and share the growing of veges etc. I invisaged a big piece of land with our houses separated by a little patch of bush.

The years went by, and that particular dream lost its power. I decided I didn't want that dream because so many other exciting options had developed in my mind by then.

One dream that became really important to me, but seemed to illude us, was owning our own house. I spent a lot of time deliberately working on manifesting that one. Overnight the housing market in my beautiful seaside village went OTT, and many overseas immigrants taking advantage of the exchange rate moved in, pushing up prices so we could not afford to buy there. It was a painful time, because we had emotionally invested in the community, had lots of friends there, etc. But in any case I believed that if I want it for me, I want it for everybody.

We were forced to look further afield for places to buy a home, which would mean my partner leaving a good job and making a risky career move. One day when visiting my sister in a town I had no intention of living in (near where we grew up), we saw the house next door was for sale. It was a big old beautiful villa that had been empty for awhile. In many ways it fulfilled my requirements - close to the beach, sheltered garden, great soil for growing veges, spacious, beautiful... I knew when we walked through it the first time, that it was ours.

So my sister and I ended up living next door to each other - not quite with the bush between us, more of a tin fence. Our boys, born within three months of each other, have played together almost daily since the age of one.

We knew it would be a temporary thing, because there are so many dreams to pursue, but interestingly, moving into this particular house meant our oldest son being in the zone of a particular school, where on a "meet the new parents" morning tea we met the people who we are now in business with - in a business that is showing all the signs of meeting the financial goals I set for myself before we moved to this town.

Like us, they said they never usually go to that kind of meet the new parents thing. In the days following it, we kept bumping into them - whether we wanted to or not! If I didn't know it before, I knew then it was all in the hands of the universe.

Blissful Creator wrote: My question is: can you share some success stories about how Abraham's teachings have changed your life? I'm interested to know what kinds of manifestations have occurred, and how long you've been listening to/reading Abraham's teachings. For example, have any of you become millionaires or become famous or invented flying cars or established clear communication with your inner being (in a psychic sort of way, where you can just ask for help and you get it instantly-- obviously this is one of my goals)?

Dearest Dana,

Here's a good one for you. I started a job recently (4.5 months ago) in a new industry to me. This is something I have never done before, but it sounded sort of interesting. I had read some of Abe's stuff by then but not really practiced much of it - least not like I do now.

(Oh, BTW, the job was totally a fulfillment of some intentions I set out for myself and it manifested within 3 weeks of deciding I wanted one again)

In a nutshell, my job is to make phone calls to their current customers. At first I had a hard time doing it, but I found downstream phrases and reasons and lined up with making the calls before I made them (still pre-Abe here) and I started getting great results. My boss was so impressed with the results I was getting. Since this is a public company, we track everything quarterly. They had set a goal of how much money in my area they would get that quarter due to my efforts, and even though I came in late (half way through the quarter) I came within a hair of reaching that goal.

Ok, stay with me. That's just the background story!

After all that happened, I was very pleased, but starting to feel trapped by my job. I thought I had to be working every minute of the 8 hours they were paying me. I started to regret it and wishing I had more time. Or at least that it was easier.

About this time I got APOE and loved it. Started reading Abe quotes, got some more CDs and after reading and pondering quotes such as 'no amount of action can compensate for a misalignment of energy' and 'the most important thing is to feel good', I started to think.... Hmm... If I'm getting my work done and bringing them the money they want, then I don't think they will mind what else I do as long as I'm available. So if I wasn't lined up with my job during the day, I'd sit at my computer and write rampages of appreciation or watch the youtube videos with abe, or go virtual window shopping or play the prosperity game.

In truth, I spent most of TODAY even doing Abe related things, not too many job related things. Now that I have lined up with that, a funny thing has happened. People who I thought I needed to call have started calling me. People who I thought I was going to have to hunt down have started sending in their orders directly to my email. I've been having a blast here 'at work' and all of my work has been getting done!

Now, normally I'd feel guilty or something because, after all, they are paying me to work, aren't they? But then I saw the proof in the numbers. A few weeks before the quarter ended, my boss wanted me to run some reports and find out how close we were to our goal. Our conversation when something like this:

Me, emailed to my boss and to my boss's boss: "FYI, renewals [my area] are at [size=$181,544 as of this morning." (Our goal was $208,000)]

[size=Boss's Boss, who is not usually a very expressive person, says: "brilliant! this makes my heart go pitter-patter. Keep them coming!"]

My Boss: "Great. That's awesome.  Just make sure we aren't over estimating how much we are going to get in for the quarter. Better to under estimate."

Me, to my boss: "No, you misunderstand. We actually have [size=$181,544 IN already. Finance has the cash in their hand."]

[size=Boss: "Excellent! How much more do you estimate we'll get?"]

[size=Me: "Well, we have received purchase orders for a lot of these.]

[size=(Boss and I have a conversation and she tells me that if we have a Purchase Order, we should count it as received because it will be closed. Asks me to go back and add up all the purchase orders too)]

[size=Me, to both of them: "Ok, new total! $181,544 (currently paid invoices)][size= +]$23,721 (additional POs received) = $ 205,265."

[size=]_____________

[size=I love telling that story! But yes, it gets better. That quarter just ended. Their minimum goal for me to bring in was $194,000. Their crossed-fingers goal for me was $208,000. I ended the quarter at...]

[size=Drumroll please...]

[size= $246,000!!!]

Hot diggity! Funny, it turns out that the last 3 months I have brought them 80% of what they were hoping to get for the entire year. Whoo hoo!

What a big learning for me this has been. I knew people had been spontaneously paying, and I had been doing what was expected of me every day - just in an easy, trusting manner rather than like a headless chicken.

Basically it boils down to "It's not WHAT I do, it's how I do it. Because nothing is more important than that I feel good."

A few days ago someone posted a thread about being paid to feel good. Well, I have just spent 3 months seeing proof of that with my own eyes. When I feel good, the dollars received kept increasing. When I feel good, the meter goes up!

That was so much fun. More please!::cereal

In fact, NO, they are NOT paying you to work, they are paying you to bring in the results and your story is proof of that.  They are not really worried or asking questions on what you're doing all day, they're not checking up on you to see if you're doing your work, they trust you, they trust your working methods because they see the results you're bringing in.

If I were to hire you and you brought me those results, I wouldn't care if you sat arround the office enjoying yourself all day as long as you're bringing in the results.  And that's exactly as it should be ::cool

You are a wonderful creator, Laughing Wolf, I'm saving your story on my computer, it'll be a wonderful uplifter if I'm having a down-day

That story is JUST what I needed to hear!! Lately, I too have been spending a big part of my day doing Abe related stuff instead of doing 'proper' work. Last night I had a sligthly guilty dream about me not feeling like I was working, and it made me think that maybe I would 'get caught' or something (you know, dreams are an indication of what you are about to manifest). But now I realised I have been doing most of what is required, and now I know everything will just flow! Oooh reading your story made me feel so much more confident and good. Thank you for sharing!::hugging

Oh, I forgot about that part!!! I don't even sit around an office now! This company's office is across the water and it's about 1.5 hours commute each way from our house. When I accepted this job, it was supposed to be temporary.

After the 1st quarter ended, I told them that I enjoyed the job but the commute was basically the reason I was unsure about staying. So they gave me a company laptop and reimburse me $110 USD for my cell phone expenses each month. :)

I go into the office once a week. The rest of the time I'm sitting at home with my dogs and my husband, lovin' my life and playing the prosperity game! Hee hee hee!

For those of you that want to hear more about this, I wrote something different about this same job on a different thread. Enjoy:

http://www.theabeforum.com/forum2/6392.html

And now, honey and I are off to our lovely dinner. My boss and her boss were so grateful for the quarter, they gave me a $150 gift card to take my husband out to a nice dinner - wine and everything.

Adios!

Wow.  LW/CS.  The better it gets, the better it gets.  ::singerThis is more of exactly what I wanted to hear.  I've been loving my job to this point but recently started getting dissatisfied with my performance and I want to do some realigning with that.  Your story is so so perfect.  I'm off to figure out what it is that I want so that I can let it in.

Thank you.

Hello you beautiful creators,

it's been a while that I've posted here. All the more so, I'm happy beyond words about my latest manifestation. And I would like to join you and your great manifestations in this thread.

My second novel is doing so extraordinarily well (without any marketing done by the publisher!) that a huge German book company has bought the rights and will publish it, by the end of this year, as a HARDCOVER with an extra book-jacket (right word?) and an extra bookmarker (right word?).

I'm flying sooooooooooooooo high!!!

I'm in author's heaven!! This huge success is what I have been dreaming of, living in, for months and months.

And guess what my boy-friend said: "Hm, sweetheart, this took you a veeery long time. I'm sure you can do this much faster!"

Doing the happy dance and hoping to inspire especially all the authors around

:beautiful:

I think it was only last week that I asked for an increased monthly income for this year. I am expecting things to be a lot bigger this year, but in the meantime, our monthly income has been just getting us through.

For some reason this month has been tighter than ever. Also, being school holidays, we have a lot on, so I have felt like I had to conserve what we have.

Anyway, so there is a bit of contrast this month, including being turned down for a mortgage extension, which would have provided a bridge.

So while thinking, what am I going to do about it - I am happy about our long term scenario, just this little bridge we have to cross - I decided, OK, I better request more money coming in each month.

Yesterday, I got offered a job minding a shop one day a week, that I can do on the day I usually work, by taking my work with me to the shop, but getting paid for it at the same time - $50 a week. So that's $200 a month extra. Then my partner said, hey guess what, my student loan is virtually paid off. The tax department had found $300 odd that it had owed to him for three years and were putting it on his loan, so after this month, it will be paid off, freeing up another $200 + a month.

So just like that, within a month, our monthly income has increased by $400. Just about the amount we need to clear the bills and get through the next few months easily. Thanks for the increased inspiration I am getting from everyone on this forum to focus on asking for what I want!

This is an awesome thread.

:beautiful: I started reading Abe books in February of 2007. I had been listening to the audio cd of Dr Wayne Dyers book the Power of Intentions.

He described in there that when you use negative self talk, you are criticising the "source" part of you. Since part of you is created as "the god part" then you are criticing God when you use negative self-talk.::chin

This was a turning point, "Ah ha" moment for me. From that point on it became easier for me to "let go of the negative thoughts that priorer to that had been on a continuous rerun loop in my mind once they landed there. LOL"::frog

I started looking more and more into this power of cocreating stuff, and in Feb of 2007, read both "Ask and It is Given" and the Power of Deliberate Intentions. They were library books and although the processes made sense at that time, I didn't hear enough of what was needed for it all to sink in.::chin

However, things kept falling into place just when they needed to that I knew that there was something more powerful than life itself behind it all.

For example,

When I moved into the current duplex we live in, I failed the credit screening, but the landlord had gotten to know me so well and already liked me by the time the results came back she didn't care that I failed and took a chance on me anyhow.

When we were moving, I had no idea how I was going to pay to rent the uhaul truck, right up to the day we needed to be out of our current place. I had been moving stuff to storage, and on the last day of the month, I was asking any and everyone I knew if I could borrow 100 dollars until the next day, (promising to write them a check they could deposit after my check went in direct deposit that night.)

I went in to tell the lady at the storage shed that I needed another unit, the one we had rented wasn't big enough. She had been watching the numerous trips I had made in my beat up old little red datsun pickup and was impressed with my determination and stamina, having seen how many trips I had made so far already.

I told her, well except for the fact that I needed 100 dollar for deposit on the truck rental and couldn't get anyone to loan it we were doing okay. She said, "well why didn't you say something sooner?" She reached in her drawer and handed me a hundred dollar bill. She said you can pay me back when you can. She explained she kept a little slush fund to help people who were really struggling. She was a very religious God loving person.

I was so appreciative. I rented the truck we got moved, and I paid her back the next day. She told me I was one of the very few to ever pay her back. I looked at her from that point on as my guardian angel storage shed lady.

This actually happened before I started reading the Abe Stuff.

I could fill a book of these types of scenarios in my life.

But currently the manifesation of owning my own ice cream truck which allows me to set my own schedule, keep my money flowing on a daily basis, giving me a way to tie my favorite hobbies together in a lucrative way, (taking pictures, building websites, enjoying the bueaty of nature outdoors, loving and interacting with children, seeing bueatiful sunsets......) is the one I am most excited about.

I plan on incorporating a small trailer to pull a lending library of the "Sarah" books to get them in the hands of the kids who really need them. The lower socioeconomic neighborhoods where I sell the most ice cream.

I will have them read and write a report on them, (younger ones can draw a picture of their idea of the story,) and when they return the book and report they can get a free ice cream.

This is my goal for my ice cream scooter for next spring, as I live in Washington State and the ice cream season will be over here by the middle of October.

I also plan on putting my website on my scooter, scanning in and making all the ice cream novelties I sell into coloring page to put up as well as other fun stuff to keep the kids entertained reading and writing during the winter months.

::boat I am definitely on a downstream ride this summer, have been enjoying my days tremendously with joy and adventure, doing what i want to do, in freedom and joy!

Attending my first workshop in Bellevue on July 31, 2008 was just icing on the cake for me in my downstream ride this summer. There has been some contrast with my current prosperity and abundance, but I am really making a priority of turning it into joy with the use of the processes.

Laurie
