Thanks for the thankses you guys ::hugging

but... uh, yellow roses ? Do you mean my pic ? Those aren't roses at all :?, in fact, they bloom only a day or two and then the flower shrivels up and falls.  Luckily the shrub gives lots and lots of flowers, and they bloom in spring, so it's a delight to see how the whole garden lights up when they come to bloom.  But the entire bush is full of little hairs that ache pretty bad when you touch them, the flowers as well as the leaves and stems.  They are so pretty that they felt the need to protect themselves from "touchers" and so they grew these hairs (my theory anyway)::devil

But to you they seem roses, so that's what they'll be to you ::flowers

Thanks, Belana:) I pop on from time to time (I'll be involved with the Money & the Law of Attraction study group!). But I forgot to come here and post something really, really great that happened to me, too!! This is from a few months ago... you know how I have a radio show? Well I've now been HIRED to host another show! Yep, I'm actually getting PAID to host a radio show:) It's pretty exciting:)

I basked in the excitement of it at the time, but I completely forgot to come post my success here:) So thanks to you and Lovely Leslie's threads for reminding me to share it!!

I'm THRILLED for you that you're experiencing the good stuff!! And thank you for sharing the steps you took internally to get to a point where you were able to attract it:) HUGS!!!

Yep, it's very important to share your succes stories, because when you write about them, you'll experience them again, over and over, and while doing that, you feel the deep appreciation again, and in feeling appreciation, you are at that exact moment attracting more things to be appreciative of.

We are now in the process of creating our new kitchen and over the weekend we went to this huge store that sells all the electric appliances that are needed in a kitchen.  And the people who own the shop are the most fantastic specialists you could ever imagine.  Whatever you buy there, you'll always get a fabulous explanation about what type or brand of the article gives you which kind of special advantages.  So when you leave, you always are exactly certain that the thing you bought is the exact right one for you.

I've always appreciated how that woman bends and stretches to give you the most perfect explanation of her article.  At one point yesterday I was reminded of the Abe quote that says as a sales person the only thing you really need to do is fall in love with your product and I was thinking about this while she was explaining things and it was clear to me that she really IS in love with her product.

Need I tell you that this store is a huge success story ?

So anyway, it's been so long since we've actually really bought stuff, that we haven't been up to date with nowadays' prices anymore for a long time.  And usually when we 'need' to buy something, we are startled with how much stuff costs nowadays and the only feeling it brings me is sadness. :(

But yesterday, while choosing the right kitchen appliances (and I mean the whole lot), I wasn't even paying attention to the price of anything at all, my focus was only on choosing the best products, on how much ease they would bring to our home, on how much more comfort, how much more "playfullness" and how much more I'm going to enjoy cooking. :)

Did you guys know they actually sell fridges now that have a special zone where you get zero degrees, to keep the veggies at the same temperature as in the shops ? Preserving them like that would keep them fresh and crispy for about 10 days ::cool

This new kitchen is going to bring us such an expanded feeling of luxury, we won't be able to stop attracting more goodies ::woohoo

Belana!!! I sure could use your wisdom in creating a new home for myself!!! I posted this in the Money & LOA book study group thread already. Then I thought of how you created such a wonderful place for yourself and thought maybe you could offer some insight?

My guidance system is telling me now that I'm not in alignment with what I want. I'm trying to reach for better feeling thoughts but it doesn't seem to be holding. Every time I'm faced with what is, and I have to look at what is right now, I'm shot out of the vortex again.

I'm looking for a new place to live. My budget is x dollars. I've stretched my x dollars to the highest they can be stretched at this time. The average apartment in the size and area I desire is around x + $200 on the lower end, to x + $1000 or more on the higher end. The one benefit I have is that I don't HAVE to find a place right away. I have the luxury of time, however my desire is to find a place sooner rather than later.

I'm doing my best to trust that the right place is out there for me. I don't have to focus on the "average" going rate of apartments because there will always be the odd gem out there that is a great place for a great price, with a great landlord.

I'm just having a difficult time remembering the new story when I'm looking at what is out there available to be rented right now.

Here's my story about the apartment:
I know the right place is out there for me. Yes, the average place is more than my budget right now, but I've found great places for great prices in the past and I can do that again. It doesn't matter that the average prices are high, because I'm not looking for the average place. I'm looking for the right place for me.... oh, man. I just can't do it right now. haha. I know in my mind it's possible, and if I focus on what I want I can find it. But that reality is so real right now. It feels too real.

Belana: you're a manifesting genius! Did you get caught in seeing what is? How did you focus on a better feeling thought when what is was so blatantly staring you in the face?? hugs

GV,

While reading your post a couple of things came to mind:

"She is too focused on what she wants, she'd be better off if she'd forget about it.   She's trying to bang things into place and puts way too much pressure, that's the reason why it isn't coming"

Does this ring a bell for you ?

To answer your question about my experience with this, I wasn't AT ALL expecting to get this gift/inherritance, whatever.  I haven't thought about that for a split second, the person who left the house isn't a close relative at all, so when the normal legal procedure would have been followed, there would have been numerous people standing in line in front of me, but that person left the house to ONE person by means of a will, and then that person decided to give the house to me.  I mean, would you be able to invent this as your new story ?  Maybe you could invent it, but while telling it, you would never believe it could happen, so that "new story" would have to power whatsoever.

So if I were in your shoes, I'd focus on feeling good as much as possible, without a hidden agenda of trying to get something out of it.  So don't go "If I feel good as much as possible, I'll get good marks and eventually end up with a new place to live".  Just do it for the fun of it.  There is no rush for you to move, so there's no pressure and that's a HUGE advantage, there's no reason to stress, so no cause for closing the doors to your escrow.

You could also sum up the positives about the place where you live right now, so there are only a few simple things to do in my opinion:

1. aim for feeling good, just for the feeling good in itself, without a hidden agenda

2. look for the small positives in your present situation and really feel it

3. when you catch yourself thinking of a new place, redirect your focus to something else that's pleasing but without a negative end of the stick, just think about a pet or a flower, or whatever works for you, any subject that's far enough away from "home/appartment"

Does this help you ?

thanks, Belena :) You're right on the money. I'm not even sure I'm going to move right now as I seem to be getting myself really stressed out about it. However, I do eventually need to move to a new place (nothing wrong with my current place, I like it, but my room mate and I want our own separate places).

Thanks for posting that link, wakati! I'll check it out:)

Hi ya, Belana!

I haven't been on the forum for quite awhile now but I wanted to log on to say what a source of inspiration & encouragement this thread has been for me today. Thank you sooo much for sharing your experience, Sweetie!

I also wanted to address the posts below & share my own experience, if I may...

Belana wrote:

So if I were in your shoes, I'd focus on feeling good as much as possible, without a hidden agenda of trying to get something out of it....Just do it for the fun of it

In 2008, I identified a desire to go on a cruise. I became very passionate about my deliberate focus in doing so. I allowed in quite a bit of driftwood in around the Caribbean cruise at that time but alas, I received no door prize. Again in 2009, I came very close to attending the Mexico cruise; getting closer to going than I did the first time around, but still no trophy.

After I cancelled going on the Mexico cruise & experienced a bout of sadness & disappointment, I finally surrendered my desire to the Universe. I resolved that instead of trying to force my desire into manifestation, I was just gonna trust that The U would orchestrate the perfect time & details for me to have the cruise experience that I so desired. One day, soon there afterwards, while thumbing thru a travel zine, I found a picture of a large yacht sailing in waters that I perceived to be the Caribbean. I smiled in appreciation at the driftwood and placed the photo into my "Dream Basket" and I naturally forgot about it.

Last September, a dear friend of mine invited me to go on a sailing trip with a small group of his friends. At first, I perceived it as a thoughtfully kind & generous gesture but nothing more. My friend continued to prompt me about the said trip, always assuring me how much fun it would be if I went.

Then I realized one day, that I was discounting this wonderful opportunity that the Universe had so lovingly orchestrated especially for me. And WHY was I saying NO??? Hella-fino!
[[[hand-to-forehead-slapping-sound]]]

In that moment of DOH! realization, I began saying YES! with heart-felt appreciation to the U for the opportunity. Even if nothing came about, it was certainly VERY JUICY driftwood. As I continued to appreciate the opportunity without attachment, I witnessed an amazing, ALL EXPENSES PAID, 10 day sailing trip in the Caribbean on a privately chartered, catamaran yacht to unfold before my very eyes.

::stardust::stardust::boatwave ::stardust::stardust

I visited one of the most BEEEEUTIFUL places in the world at a delicious, leisurely pace.

On a daily basis, I...
basked in tropical beauty & luxury, dined on beautiful/flavourful food, sipped on icy-sweet tropical goodness, swam & snorkelled in mesmerising waters, hiked adventurously in tropical rainforest, danced with beautiful islanders & friends, strolled upon the very same picture perfect beach where Johnny Depp filmed Pirates of the Caribbean (hubba-hubba!), frolicked in my bikini from morning to dusk, rode a thrilling roller coaster of waves, laughed at being doused by invigorating waves over the bow of the yacht....
(I could go on but I'm basking in my Appreciation glow right now.)
::thumb
It was a most MAGICAL experience FAR BEYOND what I could have imagined.

And the Universe says,
"Hold on, Baby...Cuz we're just gettin' started!"
::stardust::woohoo::stardust::woohoo::stardust
Dreams do come true. ::hearts Natty

Hi GV!  Hope you don't mind me jumping on here, but I am also moving soon.  My circumstances are a bit different, like I don't even know what city I am moving to yet so it is hard to house hunt, LOL, but I have a few processes that I feel are working for me.

My favorite is one my forum-friend Kristin and I made up, based on different writings here on the forum.  We call it The Match Game.

While searching for apartments, write out or note all the things that DO MATCH what you want.  If the price is too high, just leave that out for now.  So your list might look like:

::lovenoteApartment 1: lots of windows, a view of the park, large closet

::lovenoteApartment 2: easy commute, nice kitchen, pretty paint

::lovenoteApartment 3: good price, short walk to coffee shop

Read your list often, milk the good feelings of loving those things.  Do little virtual realities, like pretend you are looking out over the park or walking to the coffee shop.

When I am already feeling really good, sometimes I'll bring in those things that Don't Match, using different processes with the intention of feeling some relief on those.  Not necessarily to come into complete alignment, although that would be nice, but reaching for that relief.

I have seen good movement on this already.  For example, the city where I thought we were going to move has a high cost of living.  I was distressed about the prices.  I kept playing my match game, even with houses that were not realistic (like looking through slightly more expensive houses on-line and enjoying what Matched).  All of a sudden, that city is no longer an option for us!  The place we will more likely live, our housing money will go MUCH MUCH further!

Play this game with a sense of wonderment and anticipation at what will happen!

Have fun! ::hearts WB
