Hello beautiful creators!

Many have read the "My Process of Manifesting Money..." thread and asked me about my continued growth and progress.

As I was finishing the last of my financial manifestations - clearing around $800,000 in debt and raising cash too - my confidence in the law of attraction was very high.  I knew, beyond the shadow of a doubt, that the law of attraction was/is real.:beautiful:

I also knew, on a gut level, that what I really desired was not primarily money.  Nor was it any material possession, attainment, or achievement (like a car, a relationship, a promotion, a house, etc.)  What I really desired was self-worth.

The manifestation of such large amounts of money required me to push past both my victim mentality and also my self-defeating beliefs.  The process of putting aside my debilitating mentality and beliefs plainly illustrated for me just how low was my self-worth.  I had been pushing money away my whole life, I learned, mostly because I didn't believe I deserved it.  And so many other things, too, were missing from my life simply because I did not believe I deserved them (true and satisfying levels of love, security, peace, happiness, human connections, and material possessions - among others).

As I learned to believe and vibrate differently about money (and experienced wonderful manifestations as a result), it dawned on me just how many things in life I didn't believe I deserved.  I knew that if I could raise the vibration of my self-worth, as I had done with money, I would never again have to be miserable.  So I decided to work my way up Abraham’s Emotional Guidance Scale for my self-worth just as I had done for money.

I could go into detail about the actions I took to raise my vibration regarding self-worth.  But unless you're in vibrational alignment with such actions, they probably wouldn't do you any good.  That is because, as I’ll illustrate later, action is almost completely irrelevant when compared to how you feel and what your beliefs are.  Focusing on actions before feelings and beliefs is like starting your home construction project by building the roof first!

As Abraham teaches us, being in "vibrational alignment" leads to "inspired action" - meaning that as you work your way up the Emotional Guidance Scale, your new, higher vibrations will inspire you to take actions which bring about results more closely aligned with your desires.  So if you decide to take specific actions before you’re in vibrational alignment with your desires, you are tying the hands of the universe.  The universe will always deliver results which match your vibration and has infinite means at its disposal to bring you those results.

Actions I was inspired to take, in raising my self-worth, include listening to and reading Abraham’s teachings, going to therapy, being mentored, journaling in accord with self-help books, doing Emotional Freedom Techniques, etc.  These actions, however, might not be ones you become inspired to take.

Although I desire still more and greater self-worth, my journey has borne fruit!  I see the results of my wonderful self-worth every day: I love my 9 to 5 and it pays me very well, I love writing and earn a great income from that, I am the primary provider for my three beautiful sons, I have a phenomenal girlfriend who enriches my life on many levels, I live in a fantastic house in a great neighborhood, I am physically and spiritually fit and in the prime of my life at age 43, I have meaningful friendships with people whom I respect and value deeply.  I’m on cloud nine…and I want more!::rocket

And, in my search to align my vibrations about self-worth with my desires, I have discovered an even simpler method of moving up Abraham’s Emotional Guidance Scale than the one I described in my manifesting money thread: always tell the best story possible.  Tell yourself different stories and make them feel as good as you can.

And always telling myself the best story possible is what I continue to practice today!

If you stop and listen to the chatter in your head for a moment, you will notice that you tell yourself a story about every single person, place, thing, or circumstance you encounter.  You use these stories to give meaning to people, places, things, and circumstances - and to label them as either “good” things or “bad”.  You tell yourself, for example, that getting a pay raise is “good”.  Conversely, you tell yourself that losing your car keys is “bad”.  And on and on, about every single thing you encounter and/or experience.

There is nothing wrong about our telling of stories to label and give meaning to all the people, places, things, and circumstances in our lives.  And here’s the best news: just as there is no rule that we have to believe anything that makes us feel bad, there is also no rule that we have to tell any stories that make us feel bad.  So stop telling yourself stories that make you feel bad (or worse) about anything; always tell the best story possible.

If you always tell the best story possible, about every person, place, thing, and circumstance, you will work your way up the Emotional Guidance Scale in an authentic way.  Without slapping any smiley faces over your feelings of low self-worth.  However, I want to stress the word “possible” in “…best story possible”!  Because telling the best story possible means we should only tell the best story that we can believe.

It’s one thing to tell yourself, for example, the story that getting fired from your job “…might not be as big a disaster as it seems at this moment; that, although it stinks right now, with time I might actually come to see being fired as a blessing.”  That story feels realistic and believable and it’s definitely a better story than, “I’m worthless because I got fired; I’m a loser and nothing works out for me.”

It’s quite another thing, however, to tell yourself the story that getting fired from your job is “…awesome and I’m so happy it happened; I love getting fired and having no discernable means of income!”  That story will not feel realistic, will not be believable and, consequently, will be like painting a thin veneer of positivity over an ocean of negativity.  Unbelievable stories like that are "smiley faces", they will not result in real movement up the Emotional Guidance Scale.

So it is very important to make sure we tell the best story possible, i.e. one that feels better and is still believable.

Practice telling the best story possible about all the people, places, things, and circumstances and, over time, you will find that your feelings will change about lots of things.  Things which used to automatically signal you to feel like a loser, or unlucky, or down in the dumps won’t make you feel so bad; you’ll be training yourself to see, more and more clearly, the gifts and blessings inherent in everything.  And as your feelings change (with your practice of telling the best story possible), that will be your signal that your beliefs are changing too!::cool

Yes.  Practice telling the best story possible and, over time, you will find that your beliefs grow.  Your beliefs will become more closely aligned with your desires - you will feel optimism, you'll find gratitude, and you will see the gifts in almost all your life’s circumstances.  And you will experience much more of what you want from life.

That is because, as our beliefs change, the universe will change with them.  As we feel better about ourselves, we will manifest things more and more aligned with our desires.  Relationships, peace, serenity, career opportunities, health, and self-acceptance are but a few of the joys the universe will automatically manifest in response to our new beliefs.

And, if you’re like me, you will discover that the Quantum Field (the name I believe science has given our vibrational escrow) has always been infinite, abundant, and ready to deliver all those wonderful things to you.  Even when you felt your worst about yourself!  The stream of good will didn’t increase through my practice of telling better stories (it couldn’t get any larger!); only the bucket I dipped into the stream of good will got larger!  ::bow

You see, you are the bucket that gets dipped into the stream of good will, the universe.  And the size of your bucket is dictated by how much self-worth you feel; the greater your self-worth, the bigger the bucket you dip into the stream!

Now that our self-worth is on the rise, we’re going to continue shouting with joy, “Fill ‘er up, universe!”  And we’re going to love what we find!

Greg

Greg, this post was so rich. I know I'll be coming back to it several times.

After reading this, I realize that I've been "settling" in a lot of areas in my life. Since things are better than they were, I got complacent, forgetting where I ultimately want to be. This evening, something happened in my life that reminded me of my power to create. It was a wonderful moment of realization. Now here is your post. Perfect!

Thank you.

Thank you so much for sharing your story! I am printing your post and will look at it often. In fact I started telling my new story from where I was on the EGS earlier on. It was believable for me and as I go up I will tell another story. ::woohoo::TU::TU::singer::singer:kiss::kiss::kiss::oars:

Thank you beautiful creators!  Thank you for sharing your loving energy with me; that is certainly my intent when I post.

I was listening to Abraham last night.  They said that beliefs are simply thoughts that we've thought repeatedly.  Long enough for the thoughts to take permanent residence (that is my own add-on to their words).

So, as I tell myself the best story possible, for any person, place, thing, or circumstance, I am building new beliefs.  Like building a house, one "brick" at a time.  I've seen it working and it's fantastic.

For example, I enjoy jogging.  But sometimes, while jogging, I used to say things to myself (tell stories) like, "This is hard" or "I can't wait to get this over with" or "Oh crud, another hill".  I remember, clearly, that I usually had to make myself go out and jog back then.  Because, guess what, jogging was hard and I didn't enjoy it! :?  Those were my beliefs.

And, consequently, my desired manifestations from jogging were elusive and frustratingly absent.

For the last two years I have chosen to tell the best story possible while I jog.  I started saying things to myself (telling stories) like, "This is great" and "Thank you for this opportunity to move my body" and "Oh darn. Only two more hills after this one; I love hills!".  ::tramp

And, over time, I've thought myself into new beliefs about jogging.  You know how I can tell?  Because, unlike my previous experiences, I get excited now when I think about or anticipate going!  ::woohooBecause jogging is fun and it is a wonderful gift to move my body.  Those are my beliefs!

And the results in my life are fantastic (I love getting second looks from women half my age ::devil).

I've found this process works beautifully for me regarding my weight/food (struggled with my vibrations there my whole adult life before Abraham), self-worth, intimate relationships, friendships, money, career, and parenting (I'm still early in the process on that topic - I've held on to my upstream thoughts there longer than others!::LOL).

My new beliefs (and results) about jogging (and weight loss, and money, and love, etc.) have nothing to do with any actions.  As Abraham teaches us, its not about the action - its about the vibration
  1. We hold beliefs.
  2. Our beliefs create vibrations (which I like to also call our expectations).
  3. Our Vibrational Escrow (which I like to also call the Quantum Field) delivers exactly what we vibrate/expect (which, as we know, is not always in alignment with what we desire).
  4. Our feelings tell us whether we lack alignment or have it.  If we feel good, we have it; if we feel bad we don't.
It is so simple and it is always there for us to tune in, turn on, and tap into (Gee, where have I heard that before?) And, as Abraham also says, there is no need to fret is we don't have alignment.  We can never get it wrong and we are never done!

To the GOD in YOU,
Greg

Thank you, LaughingHeart, I recently read the thread about your journey, and it felt so-o inspiring. You mentioned you were writing a book about it. Is it released yet?
I would definitely want to read it.

Hi Greg. I love all of your posts and sharing how you told your new story every time and how it worked for you. ::TU::TU. I asked the LOA to give me something that we would work for me::rocket and then your thread was bumped up! Ask and it's given. ::woohoo::woohooYour processes feel really good to me.

"I also knew, on a gut level, that what I really desired was not primarily money.  Nor was it any material possession, attainment, or achievement (like a car, a relationship, a promotion, a house, etc.)  What I really desired was self-worth."

:exactly: This is what I feel as well. I have been going up the EGS on all of the same issues as you. Still following your good ideas, I added the telling of a new story from the perspective of where I am on the scale.

"And, in my search to align my vibrations about self-worth with my desires, I have discovered an even simpler method of moving up Abraham’s Emotional Guidance Scale than the one I described in my manifesting money thread: always tell the best story possible.  Tell yourself different stories and make them feel as good as you can.

And always telling myself the best story possible is what I continue to practice today!
"

I had to experiment with a few and if they didn't feel believable I kept on changing them till I found one that fit from my present perspective. I am not able to see myself slim and fit yet. I just can't reach that vision. So I am seeing myself 3 pounds lighter for now and a little fitter by doing some walking. That, I can believe.

"I've found this process works beautifully for me regarding my weight/food (struggled with my vibrations there my whole adult life before Abraham), self-worth, intimate relationships, friendships, money, career, and parenting".

Greg, Law of Attraction in Action, here. I was hoping to read a post like yours, and here it is today, and I read a quote just before I popped onto the forum that set me up for your post and already got me thinking:

"We first make our habits, and
then our habits make us."
- John Dryden

Thanks for the continued inspiration!
