TRUST YOUR OWN INNER GUIDANCE

Hey Beautiful, I totally agree, I actually do not refer to the emotional guidance scale at all because I find I get stuck worrying about and trying to define where i am. (I say things like- OOh damn, thats low, thats not where I want to be!) But the next one up usually does not feel comfortable either. Sometimes, trying to feel a particular emotion is upstream for me. What I do is I say, am I feeling negative emotion? Yes? Then I need to find a better feeling thought. I wonder what I can think about that would make me feel better? AND IT IS DIFFERENT THOUGHTS AT DIFFERENT TIMES... Sometimes I think positive thoughts about the same subject, sometimes I change the subject, sometimes I do a process called asking source to soothe me into my connection, sometimes I get up and move...so I couldn't even classify it! The most important thing is that you find relief! Catch yourself in the act of thinking a not-so-beneficial thought and pivot!!

Richann, very often my relief is much greater than one or two points up the scale because my stream is moving quickly and I have tasted that sweetness of feeling REALLY GOOD so when I release the cork so to speak, it floats back up to that good feeling place that I have established as my vibrational set point.

It is so good to feel relief. I say pay close attention to your guidance. If it feels bad,  is bad. If it feels good it is good. What works for one person, doesn't necessarily work for another person.

I am so happy you are feeling positive emotion Greg! That is what we are all here for.

Here is hoping we all find relief in our own way!

I love you all,

Richann and Shari, your posts made me feel better! I've been thinking quite a bit about the process Greg describes and I get it.

One of my thoughts is about the 17 seconds Abe describes as the point where other thoughts join that one and get stronger. I totally understand that if I'm feeling worried, I should just admit it but do I need to go with it and wallow in it? Can I say "I'm worried but things always work out for me." and mean it and then get to hopeful really fast? I think I can but maybe I'm fooling myself.

Also, if you have some physical symptoms that are causing fear, couldn't you jump right up to worry and skip anger, revenge, etc. since they wouldn't really be significant in that case?  I can see going from fear to worry and back and forth with none of those other things in between (7 emotions left out!)

It's so nice to have this space to chew on this and all you bright and wonderful beings here to do it with. :beautiful:

I love our variety of understandings and the knowing that it WILL work out for all of us. It so much fun to have so many processes to play with.

I'm still going to try your process Greg. I started at overwhelment instead of worry. Only 4 days to contentment and that ain't bad! :)

I'm appreciating all the clarification I'm getting here.

Thanks Greg, and everyone, for this most stimulating exploration. I appreciate the subtle nuances of everyone's communication - indications of how this material is really being lived and worked in your lives...it so nourishing to tune into.

I too am going to work very consciously with your suggestions, Greg...(have already started!) and will be reporting back next week too. It's feels so delicious feeling you kindred spirits alongside, also dedicated to freedom and delight.

When I was little I used to love the Passover holiday because I found it so exciting that people world-wide were focused on a story about liberation -- all at about the same time.

Since finding the Abeforum it feels like everyday is Christmas - or Passover...with all of us reaching each day - each moment - to expand the degree of  magic and freedom we are ready to ALLOW. ::dancer

...ps. Thanks Marcin, for requesting specifics about the form the money came in...it was great fun to hear Greg's response. I was wondering the same thing but it didn't occur to me to ask!

Richann and Shari,  thank you for pointing out a bevy of wonderful points.  I agree with you!

Let me clarify: I'm only using this process on issues which are causing me pain and ones where I am having obvious, long-term difficulty manifesting within.

For example: this process took my family from sure bankruptcy to a release from litigation, debt forgiveness, and financial excess within a two month period.  And, as amazing as that might sound, I'm trying not to overhype what has happened to us finanically since I employed this process.  What is actually happening is much, much grander!!!

I don't use this process when I am having a bad day, feeling low energy, or feeling down.  And, certainly, for instances like those, it would usually be silly to work my way up the emotional guidance scale, one emotion at a time.

No, the topics I use these techniques on are ones where a large gap exists between my vibration and my desire.  And for such topics I've found it very helpful to advance slowly and thoughtfully.  Why?  Because I've usually invested a great deal of time and energy, previously, slapping band-aids on the topic in an effort to cover-up and make myself feel better.  Never really looking at it honestly.

If I had been looking at it honestly, I undoubtedly wouldn't be feeling the big gap, the pain of the distance between my low vibration and my high desire!

For less "serious" issues/topics I am very often able to jump right up to joy with a healthy pivot.  Often listening to an Abe recording or a great, high-vibration song will be enough to pivot me out of my "pothole."  I don't take the time to stop at each emotional set point for those types of issues/topics.

Natasha, thank you so much for your praise!  Yes, I do life-coach.  I've even written (and performed) coaching protocals for my school system and some non-profits.  But not full-time.  I also write self-help books, newsletters, and children's books.  But not full-time.  I will eventually become an Abe-focused coach (probably, once again, not full-time), with emphasis on finances.  But I want to consistantly vibrate on the level of joy and love in regard to my most important topics before I manifest that.  For now, it stays in escrow! ::thumb

Greg - This is an awesome thread.  What an inspired conversation!

I swear, we must all be aligned somewhat because I've been thinking along these same lines lately.  I've been prompted by the new book, but your ideas here are right in line with that.

It's about telling the truth (as Abraham says, "I am where I am") and then going downstream from there - or finding relief - or finding the next best thought.  On a recent tape Abraham said "we live our lives in the crack".  That crack between where we are and where we want to be - we're always closing that crack - and that's exactly what you are describing here.

It's beautiful.  It's awesome.  I think for me - I've been doing a lot of putting a smiley sticker over the empty gas gage thing... since this book - I've been doing less of that - telling more truth, relaxing in that truth and then finding the next best thought...

Greg, I like this line of thinking and I totally agree with you... Abe always says- you cannot inspire others to their connection if you are not connected yourself so this is a really good plan. I have recently been thinking that I want to get into my next *serious* relationship when I am ready to love the person because loving them feels good & I do not need them to feel good. I want to be 100% in control of how I feel. I just want to love loving them & loving heaps of other things in my life...

Greg, HUGE congratulations on this breakthrough!  It does not seem that long ago that you described some major challenges in your finances that you were Making the Best Of, (and I was very impressed with your focus at that time).

This clarification and refinement and all of the responses that have further expanded and refined it are just invaluable!

With great gratitude for what you have shared with us......:kiss:

Thanks Greg for this thread and the clarifications from all of you as it grows.
It gave me some real clarity the other day about my whole approach to this all.
I have had some major manifestations come to me in the last few years.I would ride the high for awhile but I would always eventually come down.I would wonder how did that work?.As I look back now I can see that when I really REALLY wanted something and got really REALLY clear about having it it would come into being.I went on a trip a couple of years ago.A few months before I left I had no money, zilch!.I remember visualizing it in detail,And then thinking strongly,IT IS,and throughout the days talking about it thinking about it acting about it as if it was a sure thing, absolute.Things all came to gether pretty quickly,A nice unexpected winfall, a free ticket, etc etc. After I got back though I was back to "old self",All the positive thinking in the world did nothing for me.I am now understanding about my vibrational set point and moving up the scale.I always liked things quick so I wanted to go right up there fast,so I would put happy face stickers on it and pretend.... then discouragement.hmmmm?.Also, this way I did things then was kind of exhausting,When I finally went on the trip I was kind of wiped out mentally. The Astonishing Power Of Emotions is my favorite Abe book yet.I am getting it now little by little about just dropping the oars and floating.I love that!.
I thank you all, especially you Shari!,your so BRIGHT!,your smile is very infectious and your enthusiasm is inspiring!

jak3b I can identify with what you've said. I have two distinct currents going on within me about money.

One is that of an appreciation of money, loving the feeling of money flowing through me. I've cultivated this stream consciously studying economics, entrepreneurs. Seeing money as a tool for expressing gratitude,  overpaying those who provide great service, and seeing the sense of joy it gives them. This has manifested in the last couple of years in my life as -

Allowing $40,000 when I was 17, with no specific skills at the time, no investment,  in less than a year. (A gaming thing I did online, and that money goes quite far when you're in Asia)

My first company calling me a month after I left them and saying "Hey, we liked the work you did so much, that we're sending you a bonus cheque" . There was no legal requirement whatsoever for them to give me that.

My second employer whom I'd to leave in a few months, even though we had a great rapport, saying "I understand you want to follow your heart and explore, I'm with you and to make it easier for you here's a bonus AND an extra months salary".

Even last month, on an impulse walking into a bank and finding some decent money in there, though I'd received confirmation from them earlier that my account there was closed.

And the other current in me, which Greg's post helped identify was that of guilt about earning money, not saving money, spending money. I've heard those thoughts in my head for quite some time, but didn't pay much attention, mainly because after these years,  I just couldn't believe those thoughts were still there.  This has manifested as me:

Spending heavily (and feeling guilty about it)

Too many a times totally running out of liquid money to the point of not having food for a day until I liquidate some of my assets.

This topic of money comes up multiple times every day, so its become too exhausting not to deal with it. I'm going to take it one step at a time, there's no hurry, I do want to be sure of my vibrational offering. The emotional guidance scale does work,  jealousy feels perfectly right and relieving to a part of me, though the other part of me which celebrates wealth can't believe it. This is going to be good, I can just imagine the sense of coolness once I've integrated my vibration and have a sense of absolute knowing.

I'm not sure if I'll be able to get onto the forum much during this time, but you guys have touched and helped me beyond what any other gathering has ever.

Love,

George

God bless you, George!!!

I am currently using this process on my sense of self worth.  Talk about a "big issue", huh?

:beautiful:

I want to reiterate that just one move up the emotional guidance scale, for a long-term bugaboo (like "money", "self worth", "relationships", etc.), brings relief and new manifestations appearing out of escrow!!!  I'm not that high up the scale yet, but I'm higher up the scale than I was five days ago.  And I'm noticing some cool stuff moving out of escrow to me!

The analogy I'm about to give is verified by science.  One doesn't have to be into Abe to know this:

We are like pianos.  When you strike a key on a piano, it causes a hammer to fall on a chord and a specific note is created.  The note is created by the vibration of the chord you have struck by hitting the key.

Our thoughts are like the keys on a piano.  We are creating "notes", every second of every day, through the vibrations of our thoughts.  And, in our universe, like attracts like.

I like to think of bad-feeling thoughts as the deep, bass keys on my "piano" and the good-feeling thoughts as the higher keys on my "piano."  And my every thought strikes a "chord", sending a vibration out into the universe and creating my reality.

The practice of moving up the emotional guidance scale, one emotion at a time, is just like moving up the scale on a piano keyboard one key at a time.  Before too long, you're "playing" only the good-feeling "notes" on your "piano."

And you'd better be ready to duck as your desires come flying at you, out of escrow!!!

Hi Greg!

I used this analogy in a different thread last week and I feel it's so appropriate.  When you have new "sheet music" (circumstance) you play it through once giving it your best attempt and then see where you need to stop and work on what's giving you the most challenge (contrast).  We often have to slow it down (realize where we are at on the emotional scale) and practice it (accept where we are....it's OK) and with each practice run we improve our playing (raise our vibration/emotional scale).

I really like your processes.  A lot of "issues/circumstances" we can easily move up the scale on, but when they're perhaps closer to our heart's or a deep-seated belief or resistance, slowing down and moving increment by increment, I believe it will be overcome and we can move with the flow.  This really helps me with resistance that seems to continually pop-up.  That's an indicator I need to slow down and work on the process a little more thoroughly to put it at rest once and for all.

Thank you for sharing your processes.  It's really been helpful to me and intend to start applying them right away!  ::hugging

::TU  Greg,  I've been out of the loop this weekend and came back to check in with the forum.  Your post is the first I read.   What a WONDERFUL way to start my morning.  This is a particular problem for me.   I worry about money all the time and the funny thing is I don't need to.  I'm not rich but I have enough money to support a life style I am comfortable with.  So why the worry.

Recently in my hypnosis class the teacher ran our birth numbers and told me that an overriding issue in my life is security.   I am also studying Louise Hay's works on healing and went through her list of illnesses and causes.  I searched through every illness that I had experienced in my whole life and everyone of them related my issues of feeling safe.    Can't get much more eye opening than that  I knew I had to change my vibration about money and then I logged on and found your post.

I'm sure it's a life changing moment for me.  Worrying about money is a life long habit of mine so it won't be easy to fix.  I've been trying to bounce it up the emotional scale like some of the others suggested but this one is way to ingrained for me.  I'm going to have to start at the bottom and work myself up one day at a time.  Just like you suggested.

Thank you so much for the post.  Now I've got the process I know that I'll soon be white water rafting (another fear of mine....lol)  DOWNSTREAM to the fincancial secuirty I am looking for.

Thanks so much for sharing.

hi greg,

thank you so much for posting this

feels so good to read !

i'm definetely going to apply this process too. i often get stuck in a rather negative emotion because i just cannot find a better feeling thought.

but this process sounds so effective, and on the other hand so simple...

i'm very interested in reading more of your manifestations !

well done !! ::thumb

Hi Greg and all-

I wanted to come back and reread this post again, it is so great and I love your process.  I know my thinking can sometimes be very scattered and I have happy stickered a few large issues.  I tend to love feeling good and shudder at the thought of going into those icky feelings.  Abe has said many times that our vibration is where we last left it.  And they suggest if it comes up consistently to work it up slowly, just as you described.

I am also remembering reading somewhere recently, probably on the Abe quotes list, that they mentioned many of us skip anger because we don't want to be there and sometimes we really need to go there to move up.  I know I have done this myself. If anyone else has read this specific thing and has the quote please post it.  They specifically addressed anger.

My tendency is to blaze through reading, listening, reading and on to the next thing, often not taking the time to practice what I have learned.  In listening to Abe for a few years now I am finally doing some of the processes much more deliberately.  I have also loved everyone's different ideas regarding this topic.  I love taking the time to type out my thoughts on the computer.

Sometimes I don't feel like writing and I will just talk it through out loud. Sometimes this involves yelling, ranting, punching a pillow to get the energy out and that can also be very powerful. I just like to find times when no neighbors are around to here my yelling!!  It feels very empowering to really direct myself in this exercise. It is important to remind myself of not being scared to experience these feelings since I can choose to reach for the better thought.

Practice, practice, practice!  Results, results, results.  I am getting it and knowing that digging in and really moving up the scale will have long-standing results in my dominant vibation.

You Abers rock!!

I wanted to shout out to you all that my vibration regarding money has gotten better, I've attracted money in from two different sources since last posting, one of them totally unexpected.

Greg and Shari, thank you so much for your love and blessings.

Like Greg uses writing,  I talk to myself out while taking a long stroll for an hour or two. Today's major resistance was about "if I have all the freedom, all the money to make the choices, how can I be sure I won't do evil" I had no idea how to bridge that, so  I just let go and say dear universe please help me resolve this resistance, I think I'm having channeling experiences, its my own voice but feels very good for hours and most of all, is very enlightening.

more!
