Hi everyone,

This is my first post on the abe forum (I just discovered this forum 2 days ago) and am very excited to have found a place with so many Abers come together!

I will be attending the workshop in LA on 1/16/10 and this will be my very first one!  I am super excited and can not wait to go!

I was just wondering if anyone else will be attending and if anyone would share with me a bit about thier experiance at a workshop and what I have to look forward too.::TU

Hi sasha, I am signed up for the WestLa workshop.  I live in the sF bay area but travel to Venice regularly to relax and visit friends.  I have been to one workshop in the LA area and 2 in San Rafael and 2 in San Francisco and 2 Alaska cruises.  They have all been wonderful.

Hi Molly,

Are you going to the West LA workshop this Aug?  I thought I saw in another thread you are going to be at the San Diego one.

I wasn't actually able to make it last time to workshop, but everything is all lined up for me this time around and I am all set for going to Aug. 28th workshop.

Hopefully I'll see you there. :)

I don't think I'll be at West LA, but maybe.  I don't live there, I live in the Bay Area, and yes, I will be at San Diego for sure.  Do you live in LA?

No I actually live in Orange County about an hour away from LA, but about 1.5-2  hours away from San Diego, so I chose to go to the LA one.

How many have you been to? Have you been on one of the cruises also?

I have been to a lot of workshops.  I think it's 3 in San Rafael, 3 in San Francisco, 2 in LA.  And 3 years in a row I have gone on the Alaska cruise.  I am going to San Diego mostly because many of my new friends I met on the cruise this summer are going to be there.  It should be fun.  I know the west LA one will be fun too.  I think the best workshop I ever attended was the West LA in January.  My life has really changed since then.  Or maybe just I have changed, my life looks a lot the same on teh outside, probably.

Wow that is a lot of them. How fun!

And I really want to go on one of the cruises at some point - they seem like a lot of fun and I love meeting new people.

I just went on a Caribbean Cruise for the first time this past June for my honeymoon and I absolutely loved it!  The all you can eat food was amazing and they had to roll me off the boat at the end of it::LOL

My husband didn't enjoy it quit as much as I did, but then he is as social as I am.

Anyways it turns out I might actually be joining you at the San Diego workshop instead of LA.
My goddaughter/niece is turning 1 and it just so happens that my sister in law has the party planned for the same day as the LA workshop, and I don't want to miss that of course.

So San Diego here I come! :)

Do you usually check in really early?  I see it starts at 9:30am but is open at 8 for check in.

(BTW - thanks for all the helpful info you are providing me)
