It's remarkable to be here amongst other Abraham enthusiasts!

I've had the pleasure of studying Abraham's work for over ten years now.  Growing up as a teenager in the 90s, I had the good fortune of having an extremely inquisitive mother who found Abraham on her own (as well as Seth, Dr. Dyer, Krishnamurti, Dr. Fred Alan Wolf, and many other authors) and introduced me to this wonderful material at a fairly young age.  I am deeply appreciative of my mother for all the wonderful guidance, love and insight she has given me throughout my life.

Once I entered college at 18 years old, I began to more seriously study Abraham's work.  I vividly remember sitting in my dorm room drowning out my roommate by listening to Abraham tapes (yes, they were on tapes back then!) through my headphones.  While commuting around the city of Madison and the campus of the University of Wisconsin, I always had my headphones on me with an Abraham tape rolling.  Likewise, I carried the Seth books with me in my book bag along with my texts for class.  There was something uniquely exciting about digging into this ground-breaking material at that stage of my life: the world was simultaneously unfolding in an unprecedented way for me (imagine the stimulation of a freshman-aged college student, away from home and in a large city) and I was interpreting it all through the lens of the Law of Attraction.

What I learned through Abraham and other related authors led me to major in philosophy and psychology during my undergraduate studies.  I took every course I could that dealt with the philosophy of mind and consciousness.  I can state however, unequivocally, that I learned more from Abraham's work alone than I did from all my academic training combined.  No question.

To this day, I continue to read Abraham's books and listen to her recordings daily.  It never ceases to amaze me how, after so many hours and pages of material, Abraham's work continues to evolve in new and inspiring ways.  After more than a decade of studying this work, I realize that I still have plenty more to learn and plenty more focus wheels to make as I sift through this leading-edge, contrasting life experience.  I look forward to chewing on all these great topics with the members of this forum.

Cheers!

Ryan

I second that, Rach!
Ryan, you've already made such wonderful contributions to the Forum.  So nice that you are here.  Also, it's inspiring that your mom was your first example of someone who was seeking a new way of looking at the world.  As a mom, it's nice for me to know that it can trickle down.  But I trust that my children will have their own journey.  They are their own people!

Anyway, welcome! Enjoy this Vortex Playground!::tramp

Ryan, I have been a Seth student for almost 20 years, and studying Abraham for the past 3 or 4 - it is amazing, isn't it? Abraham has distilled it all down into the most practical of terms and the easiest way to practice - FEEL GOOD!!

Welcome Ryan.

I read about you listening to  Abraham while attending college and I feel good just thinking about how awesome it would have been if I'd found the materials back when I was in school.

This place is great...so many special people, so much information.

and it only gets better.
