Last night, I was having an amazing time at the gallery show at the end of my 3-week program. My teachers were so happy with my work. My parents were proud and amazed at my growth, but best of all I had expanded. I had visceral proof of it. I just became MORE than I already was. I mean it felt WONDERFUL!!!
So my uncle, who's an alumni at the school I attended for this program, came, too. I haven't seen him in years and it was nice to see him again. As we're dropping him back off on our way home, he goes, "Oh she can keep that camera, too". After inquiring about what camera he was talking about, it turns out he gave me his old minolta manual focus camera along with macro lens.
Two days ago I was looking on my digital camera's website, wishing I could have this EXACT macro lens. It cost $479 and I was a little sad but I said "I don't care, I'm getting that lens" and forgot about it completely. Now, I have a pure, glass lens from a classic camera that fits my newer camera with a $45 adapter. I literally FORGOT about it completely- no resistance, and it showed up in 48 hours!
Good on you Tif!!! You are doing so great! Isn't it so freeing and so wonderfull knowing that you truly have the power to create your world, and it really is having the leverage and upper hand of coming into alignment and taking inspired action.
I remember reading a while back about you having some contrast about your photography, and now LOOK AT YOU!!
