Next I want to make landing a t.v. role and an agent the "next logical step." In fact, to everyone else it is ILLOGICAL that I don't have an agent yet, given my training and the fact that I've been booking these days. But I know that it's because I have a lot of resistance about it. I'd love any ideas on how I can make it the next logical step. I think because I've been rejected by agents for seven years, it's become hard for me to expect an agent will want to work with me (and follow through).
Ask and it is given. I decided to ask my manager to follow up for me with an agent who likes me. I've been avoiding "calling in this favor" for weeks, I've been so nervous to ask, but I finally just did it. And I think this has now made getting an agent the next logical step...because the manager said it would be his pleasure.
