::TU Barbara, I appreciate your appreciation of my appreciation.

Sandra, that pic of the little boy laughing so hard his sides hurt is MC priceless!  I love it.

Page 185:  "If you will say, "Nothing is more important than that I feel good", you will find yourself guiding yourself to different thoughts, words, and behaviors."  It's such a simple directive ... reminder ... of the power I have to create and control my life, and the magic that will ... that is promised .. to occur when I remember to do so ... when I remember that 'what-is' is just an illusion that masks  the Truth of what this game is all about.   And my games are not about accumulating/manifesting anything.  All my games are about seeking and finding the J-O-Y.  That's it, baby...nutt'n else!!  When I am in JOY ... or flying higher ( I have felt Ecstasy greater than joy a few times) .... I have it all.  I am viewing-experiencing-living as Source.  J-O-Y is my J-O-B

Do What You are Here to Do

You are GOD, embodied in physical bodies, taking thought beyond that which it has been before. But if you are not letting the Source Energy, that you are, flow to you and through you, then you cannot begin to do what you've come here to do.

So you say, "Oh, good, now we're getting to it. Why am I here? What did I come here to do?" And we say, you came here to have exposure to more joyful experience. And you say, "For what?" And we say, for exposure to more joyful experience. And you say, "Yes, but for what? I'm willing to pay any price I need to for that joy."

The only price you can pay for joy is joy. You cannot suffer for joy. 2002-01-01

I have enjoyed being a lurker here for a while. Today I've decided to jump back in and join everyone.

I have been exploring the EGS from many angles as of late. Yesterday I really explored contrast and felt frustrated with myself for using the behavior of someone else as my excuse to be out of the Vortex. What became so clear to me was where I was on the EGS (hatred/rage). I felt embarrassed to be that far down on the scale but the only way up from there for me was to make peace with that and try to find a better feeling thought from there even if it was anger and then blame.

When I got home I realized that I had just needed to find something easy to re-direct my focus when I was at work and then at home in a quiet environment I could address my responses to this person's behavior more directly from inside the vortex instead of trying to release resistance on that subject while at work.

There were several quotes in today's reading that directly hit upon my own vibrational issues.

pg. 185

"The simple exercise of deliberately looking for positive aspects of your current work AND the people who work there with you will give you an immediate feeling of relief".

I found I needed to wait until I got home and in a quiet space before I could release enough resistance to see the positive aspects of work and feel the relief. In fact I was able to do just that. In the past when I found myself in this space I would use the weekends to do focus wheels and then could genuinely find positive aspects about the person or condition that connected me with the contrast. I think there must just be layers of active vibrations that I have had in me that just weren't previously activated and now that I am ready for it I am able to identify and release resistance on these subjects at a deeper level.

"And that relief will indicate a shift in your vibration, which means your point of attraction has shifted. Once that occurs, the LOA will cause you to rendevous with different people  and will even cause you to have different experiences with the same people."

Even though I had forgotten this yesterday during the day, I was genly reminded again and I know the relationship with the rascals will be completely different when I return on Monday. I also love knowing that they do not need to do anything different for me to feel empowered, confident & joyful.

I love knowing that this contrast always helps me expand my Vortex of creation and that I put an improved version of them and myself in the Vortex. I find that most exciting. I also find it exciting that they helped me develop that expansion and opportunity for release.

Then last night I had strong images as I was falling asleep of my connection with my own Source being equivalent to the flow of Oxygen when the air pressure in the cabin of a plane is negative. Without that Oxygen flow from Source, I would be of no help to myself or anyone else.

Feeling good is that Oxygen flow for me. Maybe that's too dramatic but it is working for me today. It is a good reminder that feeling good is more important than anything else.

Also this past week I had such an intense experience of the 'knowing' of the powerful magnetic power of thought. I really felt it this week. It wasn't just what I'd read or heard but I could feel how powerful my thoughts are at attracting behavior and experiences from others and the environment around me.

It helps to just come here and write it out and share it all.  :allgood::hearts

Hi Seamusic!!
Great conclusions!
I think you are so right--feeling good IS like the oxygen on the plane!!

Also, it is so true that when in the heat of the situation, it is hard to vibrate at the positive aspect level, but once we are out of the situation, it becomes easier. That is so useful, thank you

So, that wedding was last night. There were many ways in which to focus, but I am so proud of myself for consistently finding reasons to feel good. It seems strange, but my experience of this wedding could have been hell or heaven, depending on my thoughts. (Of course that's not strange to you guys, you know that everything in the universe is two things, that which is wanted and the lack of it.) I guess I have this myth/belief that weddings are magical happy events, but hat is only when our focus is on the magic and on the happy. But if I focus on the mixed bag that a family reunion can be, I lose my sure footing.

That's why this page a day is so helpful. It is so groundig. Yesterday's page, suggesting that we 'start over' as if this is the first day of our lives, and from now on, we will only guide ourselves by our feelings, aiming only to feel good--this is revolutionary!

And it has been working for me. Find reasons to feel good. Ignore any thought that doesn't feel good. It's pretty simple.

There is so much to feel good about!
Like, I sang at the wedding! It was wonderful. I love singing!::singer

Hey Seamusic, beautiful name and avatar ( by the way!)

Thanks for the quote! I have taken the freedom to change the subject into LIFE as you can change it into anything really, and yes, its great relief!

"The simple exercise of deliberately looking for positive aspects of your current LIFE AND the people who LIVE there with you will give you an immediate feeling of relief".

Yesterday I wrote something to someone and although I realised it was not very positive I thought: Better let it out and feel relief! HAHA NOT!

So I wrote again, said it was time for better feeling thoughts and wrote positive aspects about it. Then my heart lifted! BAM! I was flowing again!::wow

Its time to figure out what IS working and what is not. That part I played over and over....time for a new Play and a new Role!!::hearts

Yay, Nicolette!  That is awesome pivoting!!  You go, girl!  And, that is the essence of today's page!

And, Leslie, you, too!  Sometimes I find it is easier to allow myself to be out-of-whack in situations that "should" be wonderful in and of themselves.  What I've found for me is that I slack off, feeling like I'll just let the situation keep me buoyed, but we ALWAYS get to be deliberate in our choice of finding positive aspects because as Abe points out, we can find what we believe is "good" or "bad" in every particle of every situation in every second of our lives.  SO EMPOWERING:  it is entirely up to us!!

p.186:  they remind us again "to look for things in your current environment that make you feel good."

Then, they offer some guidelines (numbering is mine, words are Abe's):
  1. Think and speak of what you do want.
  2. Make lists of things that are pleasant about where you are.
  3. Think excitedly about the improvements that are on the way to you.
  4. De-emphasize what you do not like.
  5. Emphasize what you do like.
  6. Observe the Universe's response to your improved vibration.
BAM!  : ) ::woohoo::boatwave

Quotes from today's page 186
Your work is to align with what your past and current experiences have helped you identify that you want.

It may sound strange, but the fastest way to an improved work environment is to look for things in your current environment that make you feel good.

Welcome seamusic!!! Leslie, I LOVE the song, May I Suggest! I had not heard it before, so I youtubed and am listening to it now....::music So turn your head and you will see a thousand reasons to be happy, maybe more::music Beautiful music fills my heart to overflowing.

Today has been a glorious day.  I went to church for a baby dedication.  I Loved singing along with the praise music. I Loved the hugs and handshakes.  During the service instead of critiquing every detail that the minister mentioned with which I didn't agree, I realized that this mode of worship and belief brings hope to many people. Who am I to criticize how others find hope.  It felt good to release the resentment I had toward church-i-ness. To release the feeling that church had 'let me down'.  Everything in my past led me to the place I am today, and that includes my church experience.  It’s all good, really it is!

DD, I had very much this same experience at my aunt's very Catholic funeral earlier this month. And I found things that were said and done that I could FEEL were the same message as what we choose to explore here, just using different language. I've known that intellectually for a long time, but it was nice to be able to sense that freely, even with all the candles and incense and robes and ceremonies and things I used to feel less good about! Thank You Katherine, that means I am vibrating on the * right* level, since I don`t know or care where my book is and I hardly quote here because my translation is never the same as what I read here. So I just read along and jump in. Contrast and feeling bad made me do it actually, wondering what would really help me....and feeling good indeed feels the best there is! Needless to say that releasing anger and having a fight CAN be very uplifting versus feeling powerless. It all depends on....who where what and how we personally feel.

I love that, Katherine! We'll have to try that!

So, guys, this chapter has to be my favorite chapter, and these few pages, my favorite pages in the book. I am LOVING hearing about Jerry's early experiences and Abraham's response to them!

It's so brilliant!

To summarize: as a child, Jerry worked at many jobs, all of them really hard work, and none of them fun, like berry picking, raising and selling chickens, roofing and sheet metal work. He says that, like most of those around him, it never occurred to him that work and earning money could be fun.
But AFTER work, he did things that were fun, like playing his guitar and singing in the park with other kids, or doing acrobatics, volunteering as a gymnastics or dance teacher.

When he became an adult, he says he never worked for very long at anything he didn't enjoy.  Well, isn't that wonderful?!?!

And even though he never trained or planned for a career in entertainment, through a fortuitous series of events, he left behind the 'secure' job of sheet metal work and went into show business for over 20 years.

Abe goes on to explain that he had both aspect of the deliberate creation equation:  his exposure to extremely unpleasant work made him ASK for a better situation, and his insistence on spending every spare moment doing things he DID enjoy, put him in a place of allowing for the joyful work experience to arrive into his life easily.

They said something that I love so much: [paraphrase]

You were one of the few who was weird enough or different enough to allow yourself to follow your bliss.

What I like about that is really knowing that it IS 'weird' or 'different' to follow our bliss, but the reward for following our bliss is:  BLISS!  When we're in a state of bliss, we don't care that other people think we're weird!

Also, seeing how Jerry just followed the trail of good feeling activities, makes me feel reassured that this stuff works.  I mean, the book we are reading from is a

Number 1 New York Times Bestseller!!!

That's an incredible example of alignment.

So!

All this to say, I am LOVING what I'm reading in the pages. And it is helping me a lot.  A LOT!!!!

With love for you all,
L::rainbow
